Chapter Eleven
The next morning Sanyukta woke up early, showered, got ready and went downstairs for breakfast. Randhir was already sitting in front of the table and reading a newspaper. Upon seeing her enter, he folded the newspaper and placed it on the table.
"I made toast," he said coolly, nodding towards a plate with two pieces of toast on the table, "The maid will come in later today."
Sanyukta nodded, looking down at the table. "I can make breakfast from now on. I mean if you want," she said nervously.
"That's not necessary. You're here to work in a company, not take on the role of a housewife. I'm sure if you wanted to do that, you would have been married by now," he told her coldly before leaving the room.
This is bad. I know u are hurt RD..but try to understand her problem too.
Atleast be good with her..Feeling bad for Sanyuš
Sanyukta just wanted to cry. Why did he have to be so cold towards her? If he was angry at her, couldn't he let all of his frustration out? Why treat her like a stranger? She grabbed the pieces of toast and bitterly started to eat her breakfast.
Randhir came back in the kitchen after a few moments. "Here are your keys to the house," Randhir said, practically shoving the key in her hands. "The driver's waiting. Be out in five minutes."
Then he left the kitchen once again, leaving Sanyukta to feel absolutely horrible about herself, once again.
Sanyukta finished her breakfast and walked out of the house before opening the backseat of the car. Randhir was already sitting in the back. As soon as she sat beside him, he got out of the car and walked to the passenger side before opening that door and sitting there.
I know wat RD must be going through..he doesnt wants to face those consequences again hence he's not trusting her.
But leaving her this way was Rude.
Once again, Sanyukta felt terrible.
The journey was filled with silence with Randhir sitting in the front beside the driver and Sanyukta sitting alone at the back.
Once they reached the office, Sanyukta followed Randhir into the office. "I'll introduce you to the boss," Randhir told her formally. "Then you'll get to work on your own. Meet me outside the office at 5."
She nodded and followed him silently to the boss's cabin.
"Hi Gerwyn," Randhir said nodding at the boss. "This is Sanyukta, she transferred here. I'm sure you were already informed about this."
Gerwyn, who was a handsome, fair skinned man with dark brown hair who looked like he was in his early fourties nodded and extended his hand for Sanyukta to shake. She shook it with a polite smile on her face.
"Great!" he said, smiling at her. "I'm Gerwyn. I'll be your boss, but you can treat me like a friend - we're all good friends here, and I'm sure you'll be a great addition. I arranged you to live with Randhir, I hope you don't mind. Once things get settled down, we can look into getting you your own place, but for the time being you'll be staying there. Do you have your paperwork done?"
Sanyukta nodded and handed in the folder with all of her completed paperwork.
"Fabulous. Randhir will take you to your cabin. Once you get there, set up your e-mail account by following the procedure that's already placed on your desk, and then you'll get instructions by e-mail."
Sanyukta nodded nervously. "Yes... sir," she said politely, unsure of how to address him.
Gerwyn laughed cheerfully. "Call me Gerwyn."
"Yes Gerwyn."
Awww their Boss seems sweet š
"Alright then, Randhir take her to her cabin and then come back here. I have an important update from our rival company to share with you."
Randhir nodded and left the cabin. Sanyukta quickly followed him out.
"Here's your cabin," he said, opening the door of the room for her. "If you need anything, a sheet of paper with the numbers of all the employees in the office is already on your desk including the peon's."
"Randhir," Sanyukta said, grabbing his arm as he was about to leave, "Can we... can we stop behaving so formally with each other?"
Feeling bad for sanyu..she is just so desperate too talk to him.To make him not hate her.
Randhir removed Sanyukta's hand from his arm and turned around. "You are my co-worker Sanyukta. That's it. Don't create a scene at the office."
Then he left, leaving Sanyukta to feel bad once again. This made her more determined though - she decided that she would try to get Randhir to at least admit that she affected him.
After work was over, Sanyukta met Randhir outside the office and sat in the back seat of the car. Randhir once again opened the passenger door of the car. "If I'm just your co-worker, why won't you sit in the back with me?" she asked Randhir, as soon as he sat on the passenger seat. "I affect you huh?"
Oh wow :)
I see my Sanyukta back again..I hope she makes RD believe in love again
She was getting frustrated because she knew that she affected Randhir in some way or another, but Randhir was just too adamant about trying to treat her like a stranger.
Randhir got out of the car and proceeded to sit on the backseat with Sanyukta. This small action made her smile.
"So," she said coolly, deciding that it was time to break the ice, "How was work?"
Randhir gave her an irritated glance. "Fine."
"You won't ask me how work was?" she asked, pouting slightly.
"How was work?" he asked in an annoyed tone of voice.
"It was great. Thank you for helping me get started," she told him with a tone of admiration.
"No problem. Now my head's hurting, you don't mind keeping quiet do you?"
Sanyukta frowned, unsure of how to respond to that. "You see... I have a tendency to talk a lot," she informed him.
"I know."
Sanyukta smirked. At least he admitted he knew her. "I know you know," she said lightly.
Randhir then glared at her, causing Sanyukta to give up. "Fine, I won't talk," she said, rolling her eyes. "You're still the same. Grumpy."
Randhir took out earphones from his pocket and popped them in his ears, ignoring her for the rest of the ride back.
That night, Sanyukta entered his room again. This time, it was after she was sure he had gone to sleep. Randhir had left the door unlocked - she realized that she might have been overanalyzing the situation, but it could mean that Randhir didn't mind her sneaking up on him in the middle of the night.
Watching him sleep so innocently made her smile, but her smile quickly turned into a frown when she realized that he was mumbling in his sleep. She sat on the bed next to him and gently started to stroke his hair until the mumbling quieted down. It wasn't until the morning that she realized that she had fallen asleep in his bed right next to him, and Randhir knew.
Awww this was so cute <3
I hope we get to see Sandhir back again
