An amazing update so arnav and Khushi did have a bad past with eachother now really wanna know what happened that arnav was ignoring Khushi and the make up session was just...

Chapter 5 (Teaser)

In The Heat Of The Night...

Khushi woke up covered in perspiration and peered in the darkness for a few disoriented seconds before registering that the ceiling fan was motionless, and the surrounding air still and humid. She figured it was a power outage but what surprised her was the absence of the customary loud hum of the commercial generator that accompanied one.

Flicking her cotton cover off with an impatient movement of her hand, Khushi got off of her bed and shoved her feet in slippers. Walking over to the sole window of her room, she attempted opening it to get in some air, but much to her frustration, it appeared to be jammed. She gave up after a few futile attempts but not before she had sworn under her breath in an unladylike manner. This was one of the few occasions, when she seriously questioned her choice of career.

Sweat trickled down her back and in between the hollow of her breasts and stained her tank top in wet patches, even as the stifling humid heat surrounded her like an invisible shroud. She decided to head out to the verandah and reaching there, flopped down into one of the bamboo chairs.

The night sky was dark velvet heavily studded with stars, their brightness unhindered by the pale light of half moon. The air was thick with humidity, smell of wet earth and rotting vegetation, and the occasional sounds of nocturnal animals.

Khushi was desultorily fanning herself with a folded newspaper when she heard the chair next to her creak. It was Arnav, clad in a sweat soaked vest and shorts and looking decidedly disgruntled.

"Hi", he said, turning towards her, his eyes lazily lingering on her skimpy tank-top and making her heartbeats pick up pace.

"What's wrong with the generator?, she asked, determinedly squashing butterflies, that were getting started on wreaking havoc in her stomach.

"The generator conked out and there is no hope of getting power back before tomorrow afternoon or even later.There has been a widespread power grid failure affecting seven states, due to some major computer malfunction. But we are expected to get a replacement generator early in the morning, so it should be okay".

"If only we survive this hellish night", muttered Khushi...

Side by side,they sat in silence for a long while, gazing at the night sky and then, totally unexpectedly, Arnav began whistling a soft tune...that Khushi recognized at once...

Sharply, she turned her head and their gazes clashed.

"Remember?, he asked, huskily.

As memories from their shared past shimmered around them, Khushi felt her throat choke but she braced her heart and replied, "No, I don't remember anything...".

Amazing teaser.

Loved the way you describe every details of jungle.

How come arnav is there in her cottage? Is he there to check on her ?

He has started to win her back.

Can't wait to read more. Thanks for giving teaser

One hot steamy night in the jungle . . .is there a lake or body of water nearby? Sounds like an ideal night for skinny dipping to cool off no?

That sounds like heaven...but there might be crocodiles..😆
