I have been reading your story it's actually is really cute and heart warming. I admire anyone who can transfer there thoughts onto paper or in this case computer screen. 😃 I was reading chapter 5 and came across something that I thought needed to be addressed when khushi was meeting her in-laws after her nikah you mention that when Allah closes one door then He opens another for his "children." I just wanted to give you a heads up on this that in islam it is not accepted that Allah has children we as humans are His creation, true the most beloved, of His creation but creation nontheless. Here is a verse of the Quran supporting what I have said above: "He to whom the dominion over the heavens and the earth belongs, and who begets no offspring, and has no partner in His dominion: for it is He who creates every thing and determines its nature in accordance with [His own] design" (Holy Quran chapter 25 verse 2).
