Sanyukta whirled around. Her eyes depicted the shock. Her breath hitched in her throat. Her world stilled...

Leaning casually towards the door, with one hand in his trouser pocket, his one leg crossed over the other, a signature smirk plastered on his face, Randhir stood there to savor the look of shock on Sanyukta's face.

Even as her mind and body was still reeling through the shock of seeing her past standing in her present, her fluttery, jittery little loony heart seemed to be busy making observations of its own!❤️

Randhir looked absolutely smashing! Could've been called 'deliciously mouthwatering' handsome! He wore a crisp white shirt, black trousers and a black blazer. His face rid of any overnight stubble was clean shaved, giving away the sharp features of his chiseled face contours. The lopsided smirk that made him more maddeningly desirable. His body lean and muscled. His eyes twinkled as he looked at her. His hair with a hint of gel was cropped and set in a bit of a messy manner. Very very Alpha...😳🤪

"Greek God alert!" the cymbals in her head went off screaming!!!😳 A warm red tinge seemed to encase her cheeks. She was thankful that she had been liberal with the blush color this morning! But all Sanyukta didn't know was, that the person who seemed to make time stop for her was thinking about her too...

Randhir let his eyes roam freely on Sanyukta from top to bottom. He liked what he saw. Who wouldn't? The grey sleeveless knee length peplum dress seemed to fit her perfectly, accentuating her curves at the right places. Her hair swept to one side and knotted at one end. Her doe shaped eyes, those grey orbs trying to encompass too many emotions and questions at a time as she looked back at him. Her one eyebrow rose questioningly. The pert nose and her pouty little mouth with supple lips colored with a hint of pink, her teeth chewing her lower one. "God! How could I have not known that she's all I ever wanted!" Randhir exclaimed to himself.

"Ahem... ahem... Mr. Shekhawat..." Sid said slowly...as the two people who couldn't take their eyes off each other seemed to come out of their trance.

Shaking off the fuzzy feeling taking over her senses, Sanyukta moved forward and said, "Oh! Good morning Mr. Shekhawat. SANYUKTA KISHORE AGARWAL, MD, Agarwal and Agarwal Automobiles." Putting her hand forward for a handshake, giving him one of her confident dagger looks.

"Hmm... Good morning, Ms... AGARWAL," Randhir said taking blown away with her confidence even today.

Taking her already held forward hand in his, he looked at her, slightly rubbing the back of her hand with his fingers taking in feel of her soft skin. For Sanyukta, it seemed like somebody had passed an exceptional electric signal through her body. Hastily, she freed her hand from his and looked away.

Randhir then sauntered forward, opening the button of his blazer, as he sat down on the at the head of the table with his team, and signaling them to start the presentation.

"Okay, nothing could be the worse. But you've gotta spin gold fronm straw.. of course, you're the gold, he's the damn straw. I'm going to kick your ass Shekhawat!" she thought to herself and rose from her seat to commence the presentation.

Emotionally, he didn't need the presentation, for in his heart, he had already signed it! But his brain took over his emotions when it came to business, so he readied himself to grill the opposites with all the necessary questions to deem them worthy enough of the deal..

"... and lastly, we assure you of optimum growth for both the companies. Because we here at agarwal automobiles, take our word very seriously. VERY SERIOUSLY." Looking pointedly at Randhir.

He knew the last sentence was meant to take a jibe at him. But he deserved it. For a second, he saw the hurt and anger flicker in her eyes, but soon, they regained their steely, confident vibe again.

Rising from his chair he said, "Okay, Ms. Agarwal. I am mighty impressed by the working prowess of this company. But we will need a day to sit and discuss this amongst ourselves as well. For now, we should take our leave. We'll see you tomorrow."

Saying this he briskly walked out with his team members. Sanyukta's team passed on nervous glances in each other's direction as their boss still stood transfixed in her spot.

Just then randhir halted and turned around. "A word with you please, Ms. Agarwal.?"

Everybody scurried out of the conference on hearing Randhir's words. Sid still stood by him prancing at him. "Go Sid, I'll be there, take care of the rest." Randhir mumbled to his best friend.

Reluctantly, Sid stepped back and turned away.

Now it was just them in the room. The air was suffocating. The tension was strife. All the love, hurt and ager seemed to fill the room to the brim.

Sanyukta looked away, tears threatening to spill from her carefully kohl lined eyes. Her lips quivered. She was scared that her heart might overrule her mind.

"Hey... How have you been all these years? I've been..." Randhir started, unable to complete what he intended to say... the guilt of letting her go then, seemed to be knawing his insides.

"What is it that you want to talk about Mr. Shekhawat? This is a corporate firm. MY company. And I prefer to keep all relations with anyone related to this company strictly professional. Other than that no discussion shall be entertained. Now, if you will please excuse me..."

Turning back on her heel, glaring at Randhir, as to tell him that he broke her into million untraceable pieces, she quickly moved out of the conference room...

"Just listen to me once, just ONCE, Sanyu...just..." Randhir moved forward trying to stop her.

"Enough Randhir, don't cross your limits now!" she shrieked, her voice ringing in the whole room.

She walked fast across the room, wanting to leave him and everything that had to with him behind her, only to stop at the door.

"Don't ever try coming back into my life. I'm still trying to out myself together since that day. And yes, even if our company decides to pursue this deal, you're going to be nothing but just a business alliance. Other than that... WE DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER..."

Giving him a last once over, she swiftly moved out and closed the door behind her, leaving behind a visibly shattered Randhir who seemed to have taken up an already fallen cause...
