Chapter 5
A living nightmare she just saw, she just felt, she just experienced, laid upon her as an volcano full of emotions erupted that day.
Inside her heart, she was torn, burned, and destroyed...and with that, she got up outside to try to calm herself. Because if she stayed in the house any longer, someone would wake up to her cries. It didn't even take her a second before she started sobbing.
Flashback
'Disappointed with their answers, Khushi left to get water from the well for the next day. Leaving Sandhir and the gang together with the children. To get the water from, she had to go back by Khala's place, so she told them it would take a while as it was nearing sunset.'
"Aaree Yaar... Jo maine socha tha aur jo aaya. Yeh log to kuch nahi jaante. Bewakoofs." Khushi, who was bummed about the FITE groups answers, started towards the water well. She held two big drums so she can carry it back.
Along the way, Laajo ran up to her. "Tu, Kr-... arreee, I almost forgot. Khushi... Goodness, you are making the whole village be a part of your mess. This is a prank right? Look, KHUSHI, I get that you are a prankster, but we are villagers. It's not good for us to do this, yaar. Plus, you used Sarpanchji in this. You know better than this."
Khushi smiled knowing that Laajo, whom used to be considered a huge prankster when they were younger, was telling her this. "Wow, after marriage, you are very old." Khushi laughed.
"Oyye, Buddi kaun boli?" Laajo laughed again. "By the way," Laajo started again, "what did you do to your face? It never looks like this. Come home, I will do your stuff for you."
"LAAJO! You aren't the first person that has told me that. I know it's bad. But it's for these city people. You don't know how bad they are. Only I know! Haha, no, I will get it done after they leave. Okay? Happy now?"
"Okay, you're weird. In fact, you have always been weird. I won't question you. Anyways, what are you doing with two big drums? Why you need that much water?"
"Oh, those city kids are staying at my place, so I needed water. In fact, I will need to go twice. Not everyone can adjust to using less water."
"Hey, don't worry. I will help you. I will get your other two drums and take it with you. I don't have anything else to do anyways. I made special time for you, besides, we don't meet everyday..." Laajo suggested.
"Thanks Laajo. Tussi badiya ho, yaar!"
"Vel-come." Laajo tried saying in English, making them both laugh.
On the way towards the well, they had to pass by Khala's house. Unaware who was the guests staying there, Laajo and Khushi made their way.
"Now, guys, we are here against FITE. We need to show them that CITE is the best!" A man, about 30 years old said.
A group of college boys surrounding him, shouted in response, "Yes, Sir! We will win it!"
Upon hearing this, Khushi automatically understood that this was the opposing team, who had caught a hold of Khala before the FITE group did. The man in his thirties was their mentor.
I don't have anything to do with CITE. I am not going to bug them. But at least... let me see who they all are. Khushi looked at the group (The mentor facing the back of the house and the boys facing the house and their mentor), although she could only see the back of their heads, she noticed something weird about them. What? There aren't any girls in this team. Weird.
She was about to continue straight ahead, until she saw a boy coming from the house toward the group, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, extremely muscular, with a baby yet manly face, his facial feature were the same. She gasped. Parth.
"Parth, my captain!" The mentor exclaimed.
With teary eyes, she covered her face with her chundari, ordered Laajo to do the same quickly, and told them to continue walking straight.
Parth, who was standing next to the mentor, noticed the village girls. The girl that was ahead was skinny, and the girl behind was tall and chubby, but not fat. He saw that the chubby girl had left her anklet behind. So he picked it up, he knew this anklet... he had seen it before. He was about to call her, until he saw that she would have almost fell. So he ran toward her and caught her hand.
Immediately, the chundari that was covering Khushi's face fell. She felt that strong hand before, and in shock, she looked back.
To Parth, at first, he felt something weird when he saw the anklet, but when he saw her, one thing sprung in his mind...Krisha!
