Sanyukta is definitely possessive about everything she has... This one shows a little more possessiveness regarding Randhir. But I bet even within the show, she will act that way.
Khushi is the third most important character! :) You will have fun with her...

Thanks so much! Appreciate your support! 😊

Will update soon!

Chapter 4

Laagta hai...yeh dono pehle se ek dusre se nafrat karte hain. Mera job aasan hua. Khushi smiled on the inside until her thoughts were interrupted by...

"OYE! BAACHA KISNE BOLA, HE! Tum kaun ho be." The boy raged. If there was anything that he hated was despite being twelve years old, he was considered a child.

"Chote! THAT IS NO WAY TO TALK TO ANYONE! SAY SORRY!!" Khushi immediately came out of her thoughts. She knew that she was going to have fun with these people. But never has she ever encouraged the kids to behave like that. She couldn't bear that the kids she has always been close to, her kids, end up like...

"Nahi, Didi! This is the limit. Every time, these people are considering me a kid. I am not a kid. I am twelve now. And look at them. They consider us like mud. And you're telling us this. You're the one saying your name-" Chote spoke up. He couldn't take it anymore.

"Oye Chote! You will be called a kid, if you are a kid. AND YOU WILL REMAIN A KID if you don't change your habits. Is this what I taught you? Is this what I taught you all?" Khushi started out speaking now, not only to the boy, but to the group of kids, "Secretly, everyday, I teach you all school things, but at the same time, I teach you morals, don't I? Yes you have fun, yes you prank, yes you are naive, AND I LET YOU DO THAT. But never have I ever said to you to that you can talk to someone like this! Learn to respect all elders." After realizing what she said, she bit her tongue. She let out that she teaches them, when she told Randhir that she didn't finish even 5th grade. Goodness. Think of something fast!

Now turning towards Randhir, Khushi saw that he had a confused look on his face.

She told me that she didn't pass 5th grade, and now she said that she teaches these kids. What? There is something more to this girl. I will figure it out. But now I need to find a place to stay, Vardhansir will call us soon and we still won't have a place to stay. Randhir knew from within something wasn't clicking, but he didn't give it much importance. On the other hand, Sanyukta was impressed with the girl. She thought that being a village girl, Khushi wouldn't help, but instead Khushi was scolding the boy. She thought that maybe Khushi wasn't so bad.

"Are Sahibji... Madamji. I will say sorry on his behalf. He is a kid, just think that and forgive him. I will make him understand later. But in the meantime, I know where you will be staying. You will stay at my house. Come with me." Khushi led the way to her cottage. It was time for the pranks to start.

Sanyukta was deeply impressed. She felt bad for misunderstanding Khushi and was extremely happy that they had a place to stay. But Madamji? Ugh. That sounded awful. Randhir was grateful too.

After a glass of water for all, Khushi asked questions about these people. The word FITE rang in her mind. They told her that they were there for a competition. And their mentor took them there without much information.

Disappointed with their answers, Khushi left to get water from the well for the next day. Leaving Sandhir and the gang together with the children. To get the water from, she had to go back by Khala's place, so she told them it would take a while as it was nearing sunset.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as Khushi left, Randhir and Sanyukta felt like they could collapse. Afterall, it was a long day.

Sanyukta was relieved at finding a place; she didn't have any energy left to fight with Randhir. She gave into her pride as Randhir technically found Khushi. Hence he was the real person who found a place to stay. But she wasn't going to admit that to Randhir. It would have given him more fuel in which he would ignite at her weakest moments. While trying to sit to herself, she recalled the days events. How they were called in by Vardhansir... How they were supposed to pack quickly...the way she and Randhir had said the same thing...the proximity that they were in when she fell on top of him... How they were suppose to keep blindfolds on... And the fact she sat next to Randhir for six hours without uttering a word...How her awkwardness vanished when he sought to find housing... How she felt weird when she saw him with Khushi... the needless anger within her when he defended Khushi...and now, the sweet way he is trying to rest... STOP! Sanyukta! Sanyukta! What are you doing to yourself? You're thinking about Randhir way too much today. It's enough! Woah, I thought he was sweet... what is wrong with me? Too much for one day. You need to rest. Wait, you need to eat and then-

An hour and a half later.

"Hey, my dream team! You guys found a place to stay. Good. Anyways, I called to tell you that it is close to night, so I want you all tomorrow morning to go to the Sarpanch's house. Ask anyone around here, they'll tell you. By the way, whose place is this?" Vardhan had came and was proud that they found a place.

"Well, sir. It is a village girl's place. Her name is Khushi. We haven't really had a chance to ask her much questions, as she has left to get water for us tomorrow. But her young friends are here." Randhir took his opportunity to answer first before Sanyukta could answer again. Little did he know, that Sanyukta before was thinking about him, just like he was about her.

On the other side, Vardhan was still thinking about the fact they found a place. He remembered that even twelve years ago, it was to find a place too. He remembered that Niharika had to... Niharika... his Niharika... A tear was fighting it's way out, and before it could trickle down, Vardhan turned around and left.

"Look what you did, Randhir! Vardhansir got mad and left." Sanyukta accused after finally reaching her senses. She saw the frown Vardhansir gave before he left.

"Listen Sanyukta!" Randhir, as confused as he was, had it at this point. He rushed to her and gripped her forearms and brought her close. If either of them moved closer, they could have kissed. The closeness again was killing Sanyukta. It wasn't as if morning was enough. Without any hesitation, Randhir spoke, "Farzi, I swear I have had enough of you. Shut up. And stop being annoying. How many times do I have to tell you? Don't mess with me." And with that, he jerked her away and went back to sitting on the ground. Meanwhile, their group and the kids was stunned at the two. For one second, it looked as if they actually liked each other, and the other moment they looked as if they were going to murder each other. Vidushi rolled her eyes and went back to talking with Sahil, while Yoyo, Jiggy, and Kaustuki shook their heads in hopelessness.

"Arree aap dono," the kids began in unison- while one of them looked to the front door "Didi!" the kid shouted, ran to her, and hugged her. The kids were slightly frightened by Sandhir's behavior, so their faces' brightness lit when they saw her. But according to Chote, he saw something that the kids didn't see.

Standing outside the door, Khushi had swollen eyes as if she was crying for a while, her greasy hair was messy, her eyeliner was smudged, her chundari (dupatta) on her ghaghra choli was unsorted... all in all, she looked like a mess. When the kids swarmed over her, a tear drop from her face fell, and she quickly wiped it and gave a fake smile. "Aree, tumlok... tumlok abhi yahape ho. It's getting late now, and you're parents will scold me if you're late. Wait, Laajo is outside, she will take you home."

Khushi called out to Laajo, who put her hand on Khushi's shoulder before she left with the kids. Chote stayed back, as he wanted to talk to Khushi, but couldn't discuss anything as she refused to admit anything was wrong and told him to run to Laajo. Khushi silently came back, made food for the people to eat, cleaned up the kitchen area when done, and told them to go to sleep.

The boys and girls were sleeping on the long side of the room. Boys were strictly told to sleep on the left hand side and the girls, right. Randhir was on the end, closest to the girls. And Sanyukta was on the end, closest to the guys. After giving each other glaring looks, due to the fatigue they felt after the long day, they fell asleep along with the others.

But while the others fell asleep, there was one person who couldn't fall asleep, Khushi. A living nightmare she just saw, she just felt, she just experienced, laid upon her as an volcano full of emotions erupted that day.
