I agree with Khushi ... this is cruel of Nani to acknowledge her grandson even in his death. Marrying a dancer can't be such a mistake that she can't forgive him and give him an honourable cremation after he passes away. There is definitely more to what meets the eyes.

Awesome post. So Arnav's mental illness may be the cause for harming himself in the future and being in the dark about his fatherhood status.

This is one intriguing tale, it's totally different from any I've read on IF so far, do kudos to you for venturing into uncharted territory with such finesse.

The Raizada household hides a plethora of secrets behind it's facade of mundane, repetitive routine. Every character except the narrator seems to have a skeleton or two well hidden in their closet. Late Akash Singh Raizada, the black sheep of the family seems to have done more than just marry a woman like Payal to have earned his grandmother' extreme ire and displeasure that even his untimely death hasn't lessened.

Arnav seems to be suffering from chronic stable schizophrenia with mainly 'negative' symptoms like blunted affect and no mention so far of 'positive' symptoms like auditory or visual hallucinations/ illusions of grandeur/ paranoia etc which are typical in schizophrenics.

I am also curious as to why Khushi has such a low opinion of men( past?) and why she agreed to marry Arnav even after knowing about his condition. Both these facts point towards a past of some sort ( I might be imagining it all 😛

All in all, a very intriguing tale especially in light of the events that transpired in the prologue :)

Oh my Arnav is schizophrenic... I could never guessed that but with all the build up the doctor and his grandmother gave her it all makes sense.

Along with Khushi we are also trying to understand whats going on in that house... Payal sure expects a lot for her situation and looks like she has no care for her missing husband... was she just a wife for Akash and he is just a money minting machine for her? anyways after her behaviour with khushi this seems no surprise.

Now the news of Akash's death?? well the corpse couldn't be identified but wonder how Naniji decided its Akash? Maybe its not Akash's body and its framed? Naniji justs wants it to be disposed of as any unidentified body?? Why is she so against this guy I mean he married someone she didn't approve but assuming he is dead shes not affected by it... is the grief hidden somewhere deep and shes just putting up a facade?
