Arnav stood at the front of the large room, looking out at the sea of South Indian Aunties sitting in front of him.

He could see every possible color of silk sari. Green with red borders, red with green borders, purple with orange borders, orange with purple borders... The list was endless. They all had the same, six petaled diamond earrings glittering in their ears, their coin chains and thick gold mangal sutras resting delicately on their chests. Large bunches of flowers sat on each meticulously oiled braid, the floral scent overwhelmingly permeating every inch of air.

Arnav walked past two Aunties, busily discussing their respective saris. They were both wearing the exact same green sari with a red border.

"Nee engedhu vaanginai? Where did you buy your sari from? It's so nice! Beautiful coloring."

"Oh! Nalli's! Neeno? Where did you get your sari from? I love the colors!" For a second, Arnav was confused. Were they being sarcastic or...? He turned around to examine their faces, only to find utmost sincerity. Women. He shook his head and walked away, scanning the room for Khushi. His breath caught as he finally found her. Goddamn it, he really needed to go on a date.
