"Taani sambhalke." Rey ran to her to give her support as she tried to get out of her bed.
"I am fine." She kept her hand on his which was holding her shoulders giving him assurance. As he felt his touch, adrenaline rushed in his body and suddenly the whole past one year pass through his vision.

In the midnight, Rey was driving completely engrossed in the music playing in the car. He was in the joyous mood. Suddenly he noticed a faint figure lying in the middle of the road. As soon as he realised it was a girl, he stopped his car in shock to see her condition.
Kaun mera, mera kya tu laage
Kyun tu baandhe, man ke man se dhaage
"She is pregnant." The doctor told him as she moved out of the girl's ward while he looked at her shocked. " And looks like she hadn't eaten for days."
"Mein marr jana chahti ho!!" She shouted throwing everything that comes in her hand. Soon the anger gets converted into tears.
Bas chale naa kyun mera tere aage

"Sshh! That's it. Tum itni selfish kaise ho sakti ho. Kum se kum apne andar pal rahi uss jaan ki parvah to karo." He said as he feed her the soup while she looked at him completely astonished. Soon tears trickled down her eyes. After being betrayed by everyone, she was getting love from a stranger. But was he really? He kept his hand on her forehead slightly massaging it. She felt an instant sleep and the next moment she was sleeping peacefully with her head on his lap.
The doctor put her stethoscope on taani's belly trying to listen to baby's heartbeat. Taani was excited but she felt someone more elated- Rey. After having proper checkup Doctor gave the stethoscope to both of them. They put each hearing aid in one ear as they tried to listen the sound of life within her.
Dhoond hi loge mujhe tum har jagah ab to

"She is completely ok! I am very glad that you are taking such a good care of you wife Mr. Singhania." The doctor smiled.
"He is not my husband." Taani said with a smile while he felt a pinch in his heart as he heard that.
Ho gaya hun tera jab se Main hawa mein hoon
Tera asar hai
"Taani, if you want I can give your baby its father's name." Rey said.
"Sorry but I don't want to become a baggage on you" She said and moved out.
"But I want to.." He whispered.
Tere paas hoon, ehsaas mein, main yaad mein teri
Tera thikana ban gaya ab saans mein meri
Taani was trying to cross the road with the shopping bags in her hand. In the midst of heavy traffic, she found it difficult to take even a single step. Suddenly she felt his arm around his shoulder while he made a way out of the heavy traffic. She looked at him mesmerized by his goodness.

"Mujhe darr lag raha hai." Taani said as she let out another shriek. It was her labour pain.
"Don't worry. I will not leave your side. I am right here." He tightened his grip on her hand as he said that. With another shriek, she relaxed as doctor came out of the cover with the baby.
"Congratulations, it's a girl." The doctor said with a smile. Taani and rey looked at each other while they could see tears wetting other's cheeks.

She came out of his grip and went to the cradle that was kept near her bed. He saw her taking the baby girl in her arms while she caressed her soft skin. She was beautiful. Just like her mother. He felt a pain in his heart as he realised that she was HER daughter. Theirs was a undefined relation. And he was nothing to that baby. He saw her smiling for the first time as she played with her daughter. Now was the time when she might ask him to go away forever. But he was scared to loose her. She was alone when he met her abandoned by the people she loved, to die. But after meeting her, he realised that she completed him. And he didn't wanted to be lonely again.
She brought the baby to him and placed him in his arms. As he felt the small life in his arms, a sense of contentment reached his heart which could be seen in his eyes.
"Say hie to dadda!!" She said while playing with the baby. As for him, he got everything in that one single moment. His love, His life, his companion and THEIR daughter.
