I think if a DT will see this. He/She himself will shift it other forum or This post will be merged in General inquiries thread.

Agreed...
Reader's feedback is what motivates the writers to write. They deserve to be appreciated for the amount of hardwork they put in writing a story.
I dont think any writer deserves to be away from IF because of such petty issues.

Can i know about which writer you are talking about?

Many writers are affected/effected...I wouldn't like to mention them without their permission. This is as much about writers as about readers freedom of expression.

In a well-thought out post, you have written exactly what many of us are thinking and feeling after recent events. Especially this point, which is really the gist of the matter:

Any interaction that does not hurt people's sensibilities and is not bordering on obscenity should not invite severe penalty

I applaud your initiative, and I sincerely hope that your views and those of the others on this thread will be taken into account by the DT.

I do hope that this issue will be discussed and debated until a viable solution is found. Hopefully that will prevent others from being disheartened and disillusioned.

Thank you so much for writing this post-- this is something that I feel very strongly about.

And thank you for stating the larger global definition of spam.

No one I've ever spoken to on the Fan Fiction forum has ever satisfactorily been able to explain to me exactly WHY an 'update soon' is spam. I sincerely hope that the DT is able to come up with a reasonable answer. I am not against rules-- I just need to see their logic.

I think if you PM the IPKKND DT, they'll be able to move your thread to the Fan Fiction forum-- they do it for all fan fiction that crosses 15 pages anyway. =)

You can request the DT to shift the thread. Additionally, you can also repost the post in the other forum if you don't want to go through the process of requesting a DT's help. If you're shifting, don't forget to pick a location which the DTs also frequent regularly. Hope this helped.
