Chapter 4
Randhir's P.O.V
I punched the bag as hard as I could. God, this guy is unbearable! Why he has to be so calm and sweet?! Why is every girl falling for him?! Why is Sanyukta with him?!
He was under the same roof, in the same room, ironing his shirt. I wanted to punch his face, hard. But, alas, I couldn't. So I was taking out my anger on the poor punching bag.
Out of the blue, suddenly mister thought of listening to the radio and making everyone listen to it. He turned on radio on his mobile, keeping it on speaker. He put on a random station. A Justin bieber song named "Memphis" was going on.
The exact lyrics that fell on my ears were :
Every time you're distant, girl somethin' is missin'
And wish that I could fix it, I wish things were different
What else, what else, if you love me, girl then say it
Say what else, what else,if you wanna be my baby
I feel my heartbeat bumpin' to the bass
She give me butterflies and they won't go away
Under the stars, she took my hand and said
"Love you, need you, need you here to stay"As soon as I heard the first two lines, I thought of Sanyukta. And as the song proceeded, I couldnt help thinking how relatable it was. But the last line...
The image that came in my mind, listening to the last line was that of our hug in the village, when she'd talked about my importance.
This cant be happening! Why is this song so relatable?!
I grabbed the nearest thing, which was a pillow kept on my bed, and threw it on Parth. He turned around in defense and the pillow landed on his back.
"Listen to that shit alone, through earphones!" I shouted at him. He turned off the radio, at once.
Oh god, what is happening to me?! What has she done to me?! Me?! Randhir singh shekhawat is throwing pillows on people now!! How stupid and childish that was!!

"Miss Engineer, maene to socha tha ki tum average student ho, par tum to aur bakwaas nikali. Ek bhi question nhi solve kar payi class me" I smirked at her as I left the lecture as it ended, following her.
Parth felt unwell today and wasnt here. So, I could safely be back to my normal self. It felt so good to be back to our daily routine. Why? I didn't have any idea. But it gave me pleasure to annoy her, to see her staring at me, with crossed eyebrows, to see her index finger pointed at me, to see her eyes burning with anger. Yes, it indeed gave me pleasure by annoying her.
"Randhir, mere paas tumhari faltu ki baato k liye time nhi hai. Main late ho rahi hoon" she said, without turning, still walking away.
"Arre haan offcourse, tumhe apne lover boy se milna hoga na" I said, reffering to Parth. I knew, even though the whole college stated them as a couple, Sanyukta refused being in relationship with him. Huh, lies.
As I had imagined, it did annoy her. She stopped at once and turned, sharply, to say cruel things to me. A smile crossed my lips. She lifted her index finger at me. I chuckled, mentally.
But all of a sudden her eyelids fell, lazily. The hand she had lifted to point at me was now on her forehead, her thumb and index pressing the skin. All of sudden, she colasped.
"Randhir.." was all that came out of her mouth.
"Sanyukta!" I catched her, before she could fall.
"Randhir" she whispered my name, again, before finally fainting.
Vardhan sir was walking by. He saw us and approached towards me.
"Kya hua Sanyukta ko?" he asked, worried.
"Pata nahi, sir. We were fightin- talking and she, suddenly, fainted" I, myself, could hear the helplessness and worry in my voice.
"Isse medical room le chalo jaldi"
"Yes sir"
I don't know if sir offered help or not. I'd gone deaf. I picked Sanyukta, the girl I hate to the core, up in my arms. I dont know why I cared, I worried.. But I did, undoubtedly.
My mind was already thinking about the reasons. Why did she faint, all of the sudden? Was she tired or sleepy? Nah, she came late for the class. Ms. sleepyhead. It has become a routine now. Then what? Has she and Parth... ? No!
My hands turned into fists, blood boiling in my veins.
But that can't happen. That kind of fainting happens early morning, right? Then, what could be the reason?
We had already reached the medical room. I placed her on the bed while Sir explained the situation to the doctor. I stepped back, sticking my back to the wall. My eyes refused to leave her face.
"Let the doctor decide the reason" I said to my mind, in an attempt to shush it.
