Dont you dare ask for 3rd, or I'll fail in my boards, pakka! 😉 😛

Part 2

Sanyukta tried sleeping that night, she really did. But Randhir's words wont leave her mind for a second.

"What did he mean by that? Uski jagah? Aargh!! He's such a pain! Won't even let me sleep!!" She thought to herself as she shifted , trying to get some sleep.

She kept on turning from side to side but sleep rejected her invitations.

Randhir, outside, was trapped in no different condition. He, too, was tossing and turning, praying to get some sleep.

"Teri jagah? Tu koun h uska? Vo chhodh! Vo teri kya lagti h? Kya bakwaas kar rha tha? What the hell were you even thinking?!" His mind cursed him.

"I swear to god, ye ladki mujhe pagal bana k hi chhodhegi" he muttered to the darkness.

The next morning when they woke up, they had forgotten all 'bout last night.

Vardhan sir was right.

"Tumhari life me kisi aur cheez k liye time nahi hoga. Sirf dream team project : 24 x 7"

The project kept them too busy to think about anything. The next few days were totally devoted to the project.

Everything had been usual, till the result day...

The FITE team had won. They made CITE loose.

In her excitement, Sanyukta had hugged Parth when he came to congratulate her, much to Randhir's annoyance.

He left the scene, not really sure where he was going.

It was a beautiful night. But Randhir was too furious to see the beauty in any goddamn thing of the universe. He kept on walking.

He listened to the sound of babbling of a river nearby and decided to go there.

Jiggy had seen him leaving and decided to go and look for him as he feared the forest and the wild animals. He feared for his roomate and bestfriend's safety.

Kaustuki told Jiggy that she'd accompany him and they both somehow managed to make Sanyu come with them, too.

It didn't take them much time to find Randhir. He was at the river bank, looking blankly, at the water.

"Arre Randhir Bhai, aap idar kya.. Aaa!!" Jiggy's foot slipped due to the wet mud, as he approached Randhir, and he fell into the river.

"Jiggy!!" Kaustuki shouted.

"Randhir!" Sanyu shouted as she saw Randhir jump into the river as a reflex reaction to Jiggy's fall.

For 10 long minutes, both the bestfriends stared at the water, without blinking. Their eyes, wide with fear, were now getting teary.

Just as they were about to shout for help, Randhir came out with Jiggy. Both the girls dragged Jiggy out to solid land and started pressing his chest.

After 5 minutes of intense hard work, Jiggy coughed to life. Sanyukta smiled as she saw her bestfriend hugging him. She turned to thank Randhir but he wasnt there.

She stood and went by the riverside. She remembered how she never saw him getting out of the water.

"Randhir!" She shouted. No one answered.

She kept on shouting as she moved along side the stream. Tears betrayed her eyes. All kinds of bad thoughts were banging in her mind, no matter how hard she tried to shut them.

"Randhir!" She cried with defeat in her voice, to the water.

"Kya hai?"

She turned around, sharply at the voice. She wasnt expecting his voice from behind.

"Kyu gala phaad rahi ho?"

"Tum yaha?" She didnt answer his questions.

"Aree, maene socha ki tum ladkiyo k saamne agar maene apni gilli shirt remove ki, toh tum log to meri hot body hi checkout krne lg jaoge, phir jiggy ka kya hoga" he said and chuckled.

She walked towards him and slapped him hard. "Tumhe ye sab mazaak lag raha hai?"

He looked back at her, with anger. But what he saw, shocked him. He hadnt noticed her tear filled eyes before due to the darkness.

But now he did, as her face was just inches away from his. He noticed her red eyes, her wasted mascara, her trembling lips, her face drenched with tears, her locks dancing to the wind. In such a drenched up state, he still found her beautiful. The moonlight kind of amplified her beauty. But her tears worried him.

It was unbearable to see 'his' lioness like that.

"Sanyukta?" He asked tenderly, not sure what to say.

What she did next, suprised him even more. Instead of shouting at him on how stupid and irresponsible his act was, as he was expecting, she hugged him tight.

He didnt have a shirt on, but she was too sad to care. She was hugging him with all her strength, but he was too shocked to do the same.

But the shocks didnt end here.

"Don't you dare do this to me ever again! Pata bhi hai tumhe mae kitna darr gyi thi! Kese bure-bure khayal aa rahe the! I almost thought that I've lost you forever! Never do this to me, Randhir! I'm nothing without you! What would I do with my life, if you're not there to fight with, if you're not there to help me! It's all meaningless without you, Randhir! Please never scare me like that every again!!" she cried into his chest.

"I'd never leave you, Sanyu, I swear. Even if you asked me to, I'll always be here for you, with you. I promise. Please don't cry" he said, softly, without thinking. It just came out as a reflex reaction. A reaction that he didn't regret. That he wouldn't change, even if given the chance. And he hugged her back.

From far away, Vardhan watched both his "best soldiers", in each other's arms, confessing their feelings. He smiled to himself.

"This is where they belong. In each other's arms. I had told you, Niharika. I knew, they would never end like us. I won't let them"

Sanyus reaction on relocating him was heartwarming...no wonder, it triggered randhir into saying stuff which he never would have said, otherwise!! Loved the update...nt to forget, the vardhan bit...at the last!!! That made me smile!! As i said, one great update...waiting for ur boards to get over...best of luck by the way, hon!!😃

PART 3

Sanyukta's P.O.V

I was standing by the window, coming my hair, from god knows how long. My head was full of stuff.

Our first meeting. Our fights. Our eye-locks. Our kiss. Him saving me. Me making him come back. The water fight. The "well" incident. Our hug.

Was I really in love with Randhir Singh Shekhawat?

But then other images came in my mind. Him, insulting me, my family, my dreams. His misbehaviours. His rudeness. His attitude. I can't be in love with that MCP! God, whats wrong with me! No, I'm not in love with him!

Anyways, my marriage is fixed. I've got less than 10 months to "live". I'm not gonna waste them on him. Me and him can never be together.

As soon as we boarded the bus I sat by his side. At first he looked startled but then, just smiled. I've to clear everything with him.

"Randhir... "

"Hmm"

"Dekho.. Kal jo bhi hua.. I mean, jo maene kaha. Mera matlab hai.." I took a deep breath. "Randhir, maene vo sab emotional ho k keh diya tha. I meant none of that"

He looked into my eyes for a while.

"Offcourse, main bhi tum jesi loser ke baare me aesa kuch nhi sochta"

"Main bhi tum jese MCP k baare me kuch nhi sochti"

Did I see hurt in his eyes? But before I could be sure, he turned his head and started looking outside.

Good! Now I dont feel guilty and stupid, anymore.

Randhir's P.O.V

A lot changed in one week, after we returned from the village. Let me point out.

1. Parth joined FITE (ARGH!)

2. Parth is my new roommate (Kis janam ka badla h ye?)

3. Virdhan sir resigned.

4. Sanyukta and Parth dont leave each other even for a second (I repeat, kis janam ka badla h ye?)

5. Sanyukta isnt fighting with me anymore (Parth se fursat mile, tab na)

6. Everyone in college thinks of them as a couple.

7. If I say something to Parth, Sanyukta defends him. So I've stopped thing that, too. It hurt s when she takes his side rather than mine. Why? Dont even ask me.

8. I still am making her life hell ( 😃 😛 )

Okay the last one isn't a change. But anyways.

She can't ignore me so easily. The last point makes sure that she won't.
