Hey!
That was beautifully writtenšŸ‘

Since I read it in a go, I didn't have much time to ponder whether it was related to the whole Shyaam fiasco or not, but trust me, I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that maybe it was something different, sacchi😳! Especially when Arnav mentioned that he had entered this marriage with Khushi just because of his Di, though over here truthfully speaking, I had thought that Anjali had forced/ blackmailed Arnav to marry Khushi or something like that & hence he felt guilty for marrying her, thinking that she didn't like him in that way.

But, but I was surely in for a surprise when I began reading the 2nd shot. Khushi graduating from Harvard & Arnav a common middle class man?😲 I really liked the twist.šŸ‘šŸ¼ This is the first time I've come across a story where instead of Arnav, Khushi comes from a well to do family back ground & Arnav doesn't take her for granted and makes her realize about what she is stepping into if she wishes to continue their marriage

Loved reading it!šŸ‘šŸ¼

PS: Hope to read more of your works. u r a fab writer, please don't stop writing. It's really a treat reading your works, sacchi!😃

You fooled me!

I loved the first part and when I opened the second part, i checked it at least 4 times to make sure, i haven't made any mistake.. that it was in fact the second part of 'perceptions'! I am a very ordinary person with ordinary perceptions.. So naturally I was thinking exactly what you wanted your readers to think after reading the first part! But then, as I started reading the second part, i realized that you fooled me! Well, actually my perception was too ordinary compare to your imagination and creativity.

About the story.. the story is absolutely a different one.. the characters are opposite to the ones we know.. style of writing was unique!

The story reminded me of the characters of the iconic story 'Gift of the Magi' .. Although the context and nature of sacrifice is different here, but the message is same.. You can hurt yourself with greatest of pains, you can cause yourself biggest of loss and you can close the doors of your heart forever if that is what makes your loved one happy, safe and content.

Loved the couple. Loved the story!

I am left with contrasting feelings after reading this one and because it is so, I shall mention them separately.

First of all congratulations on writing a TS, the two parts of which were so different that you had many of your readers fooled, including me. Your note, and the title of this TS should have made me think that there was more to what I had perceived, but it didn't and kudos to you for that. The second part not only was a refreshing change, both because of the way it led and the back story which was unique, but also because it made for such an interesting read. To posses the name Raizada, to marry for your sister; both elements point out to some conclusions, and that this one wasn't so was nice.

Which brings me to the part I couldn't be in accord with. Now I know I would sound like a hypocrite, but can't help it. It was accepted in the show that Arnav stayed quiet about Khushi's supposed indiscretions and married her without letting her know the reason behind it. A similar circumstantial happening occurred in this one; albeit with the place being swapped by the protagonists. But that itself changes everything. While the marriage in the show occurred as a result of hatred, this one had different roots. There might have been substantial cause for discord, as explained by Arnav in this chapter; one is aware of the ways of male ego, yet it was expected from Khushi, a Harvard graduate and one who's thought process isn't like the ones who subject themselves to the torture of their husbands, to stand up and demand an explanation, and that too very quickly into the marriage. That however did not happen, and hence it became a bit unreal (if I can call that).

If it was just so that the element of surprise was retained, then one could acquiesce with it; after all, this is fiction and the turn of events did have the impact expected.😊

After reading the first part, I immediately thought back to your comment on An Awakening, on which you wrote that you generally don't read FF's that continue on what any part of the show, so I was really surprised that you chose to wrote something like that...but then I guess you had us fooled, in a good way!!! I loved how you switched up Arnav and Khushi's backgrounds, financial positions, personal insecurities and created this unique two-shot.

I liked how beneath all the exterior realities of their lives, the love and care was present between these two throughout and that's what propelled them to to pass through this misunderstanding.

I absolutely loved Khushi's character - she loved her husband, and was willing to do whatever to get that love returned to her - totally admired how she went about doing it, all the way up to the end!!

Great two-shot, hope you read more such stories in the future😊
