few days later

nothing much has happened, taani still learning dance and busy...assume the dance classes for the other students have started. SS have their own fights and MU as usual, taani has been cold shouldering Sharon..these are a bits of scenes happening

St Louis college- rehersal hall

Taani and aashi rehearsing..imagine a few steps rey walked in and stopped seeing the practice

Aashi stopped taani from doing a step , corrected her stance and said," ab smile types karo, aise. " and showed her teeth, taani laughed and lost the pose, aashi threw up her hands and said seriously," taani " taani said sorry, aashi ran the music again and said holding taani s hands straight from front ,"imagine ki rey aape saamene hain aur karo " taani s smile broadened remembering rey and she continued.. Aashi watched, moved back, signalled to taani to continue -

rey hadn't seen her dance at all the past days- and stood watching her happily , studying her moves atleast shes not conscious now , shes improved so much and resisted the urge to go and hug her, she would loose the flow..time enough for that. aashi switched off as the music ended and turned, catching rey said loudly," boyfriend types not allowed"

Rey walked in, gave taani a side hug ," par d3 ka member allowed " they smiled," waise aashi thanks to you mera boyfriend tag jaldi jaanewaala hain"

"kyun?"

"yeh tho hamesha free time pe tumhaare saath hi rehthi hain ," he cribbed, both girls smiled at each other," poocho ki kab mile last"

"as if aap busy nahin ho!" Taani wiped her neck with the towel and turning to aashi, " but aashi i wanted to ask kya hum kal thoda jaldi karsakthe hain classes ? please .." and pointed with her eyes to rey who had walked to keep his bag on the other end.aashi grinned

"ya okay par Sharon ko batana mat kyunki unhone kahaan ki hum professionally types classes start karenge ..agar hamara adjustments sab pata chalega tho mera band bajega " and laughed typical aashi style, taani also smiled," kabhi kabhi mujhe na yeh lagtha hain ki main swayam ke baare mein bhi kam aur Sharon ke baare mein zyaada types sochthi hoon!" taani laughed unable to hold herself back . rey smiled as well.

"very funny!" sharons voice came in sharp from behind them, both of their laughs disaapeared immediately and they turned to her like obedient students ," done ? with your backbiting? If you are tho hum kya kuch kaam karein? Tumne wo file VP sir ko diya?" she asked aashi with the rude tone reserved for aashi.

"hum backbite nahin kar rahe the" taani answered back, her voice sharp. Aashi placed a hand on taani s arm , turned to Sharon and said," main abhi denewaali thi Sharon. Bye.." to taani and left

"taani" Sharon asked as taani turned, picked her bag and made to go out," is everything fine? tum itna cold shoulder kyun derahin ho mujhe" rey stopped doing whatever he was and came near them

"kuch nahin " she said

"im sure theres something wrong somewhere..." Sharon

"wrong tho aap ho Sharon bha...Sharon " taani responded unable to stop herself

"what?" Sharon surprised," did you just say ki main wrong hoon? for what?"

"for starters Sharon ..yeh jo aap aashi ko sunathe rehthe ho na usmein wrong ho.."Sharon opened her mouth but taani continued," aapki insecurity ki sazaa usse dene ki koi zaroorat nahin hain."

Sharon s face went red in anger," tumhe kisine haq nahin diya hain mere upar comment ..."

" aapo kisine haq diya hain sab ko sunane ka?" rey moved to her and held her hand trying to gt her to stop as her tone had become openly rude.

"tum mujhse fight karrahin ho? aashi ke liye? i don't believe this- pehle tho dance seekhne..."Sharon was equally rude

"Sharon.."rey called ..neither of them bothered

" sirf aashi ke liye nahin, bhai ke liye bhi " taani replied bluntly... sharon stared at her and taani stared back, both eyes met and Sharon s anger vanished , replaced by a strong sense of distress...she understood why taani was angry and looked at rey. Rey stared at taani and realised she knew everything

"taani , stop "rey started, taani ignored him and continued to look at sharon

"rey ne mujhe kuch nahin bataya and naa hin bhai ne ..sharon bhabhi" taani continued to look at Sharon ,saying bhabhi sarcastically

Her face showed her sadness but Sharon being Sharon , looked back at taani and said, "u don't deserve any explanations taani mujse and im not going around giving explanations for... "

"SHARON..."

"aap khudh ko explanation de paaogi wahin bohot hain!"

"TAANI STOP IT" rey raised his voice

Taani turned to him now angry ," kyun? kyun stop karoon? Abh bhi meri galthi hain? "

He held her by the arms ," NO" his voice still loud," but phir bhi stop"

"No rey, let her..usse bolne do.."

"STOP THIS NOW - both of you..." he screamed .. Sharon folded her arms across her chest and stood while

Taani shook to free herself but didnt succeed, continued ," kyun? kyunki wo aapki friend hain? tho rey main aapko yaad dilao yahaan meri bhai ki baat hain ...jab bhi aapki friends ki baat aathi hain tho sab teek par mereliye conditions apply- chahe wo shivam ho ya aashi ya bhai...galthi meri..." all anger pouring out

"Nahin...no taani..stop it kyunki swayam ko bura lagega" she stopped for a sec, " Mujhe tumse zyaada gussa aaya tha but swayam ko achha nahin lagega ki koi uski wajah se fight karein" he said shaking her.. taani stopped , listening to his words and catching his meaning. " please now... stop..." his tone normal

Sharon looked from one to the other, her face changing at reys words of how angry he had been. rey gave taani one calming look and said," taani u meet me at the fire escape - i ll be there in five minutes ..go " she picked her stuff up and walked out without looking at sharon

Rey turned to Sharon , " Sharon don't be upset, wo swayam ke point of view se hi soch sakthi hain.."

"its fine rey, any point of view, what she said was correct ...teek hi hain...but its just that... " and felt teary. Rey went and hugged her comforting knowing that nothing else he could do then.

Swayams place- taani s room

Rey thro the window, looked around for taani..no taani...went to the washroom and listened at the door..no sound..kahaan gayi? bahar jaake dekhoo? And just then the room door opened and she walked in, saw him before he could attempt to hide..and REY phir se!

He walked to her and tried to hold her, she bent under his arm and escaped

"main tumhaara wait karrahaan tha ...fire escape mein" no reply- she pretended to be adjusting her table," taani...tum aayi kyun nahin?"

"kyunki main gussa thi aur mujhe lecture nahin sunnatha ...taani yeh taani wo...aur fight bhi nahin karna tha aapse kisi aur ke liye."

"lecture nahin, sorry sunne ke liye tho aajaathi" he went and stood next to her, hand on the table. She stopped doing her work for a second and then continued arranging. He sighed, taani and holding both her arms turned her to himself"she was angry, no upset...no angry

"sorry.."

"kisliye? Aapki kya galthi hain? "

"first, maine tumpe chillaya isiliye...i didnt know how to stop a cat fight..tho.." she looked at him disgustedly and tried to pull her arms away," okay okay...seriously sorry..i didnt mean to scream at you ..sorry" she quietened," accepted?" no reply..he sighed

"second sorry bhi sun lo...isliye ki maine tumse hide kiya tha SS ke baare mein.. im sorry i couldn't tell you taani.."

"nahin rey, wo main jaanthi hoon" she responded immediately," us keliye sorry mat kaho..unki secrets aap mujhe nahin batasakthe the" he smiled a thanks you smile," thats ...okay"

"how did you know?" he asked

taani told him the incident aashi had mentioned and continued," and i realised ki wo dono saath the"

" bhai hain meri. Jabse paida hui hoon tabse sirf unko hi dekh ke saare kaam kiye hain. sab jaanthi hoon main unke baare mein wo accept kare ke na kare..and agar unhone kahaan ki wo couple hain tho wo couple hain...bhai kabhi jhoot nahin bolthe" she snapped at him."Par Sharon bhabhi par gussa nahin aaya aapko?"

He told her the whole story, the trial relationship, the fights as he saw them , the breakups ,Sharon refusing swayam publically everything and she listened...he felt light as he told her the story and how he felt each time he had to hide from them or support one against the other , how affected he was each time they broke up and how happy when they were together

" maine itni koshish ki hain ki dono ke beech jo MU hain wo kam hojaaye" and he stopped .." taani...?" she had listened without interrupting haan..." can i say something?" she nodded," matlab they have just managed to start talking to each other normally...tho... look taani, tumhaara Sharon se gussa hona is understandable but she s feeling guilty and she really likes you agar tum usse friendly chodo, normally baat karsakhogi? She likes you.." he asked hoping she would agree

"haan..par aap keliye nahin shayad bhai ke liye bhi nahin ..shayad isliye ki un par taras aatha hain rey.. ki kisiki pyaar ko wo itna lightly le sakthe hain" he opened his mouth but she stopped him with a look saying she didnt want any explanations ," kya aap mere ek baat manoge?" he nodded.

She held his hands squeezed and said," rey kuch time baad apne apne struggles khudh karne padthe hain.. just let them be.unki destiny hain.. Agar krishnaji chahthe hain ki wo saath ho tho honge...yeh sab aapki galthi ya responsibility nahin hain " he saw her clearly,remembered swayam saying something similar, she always thought of him..always ...he nodded realising she was right and hugged her, again feeling the calming effect she had on him .she hugged him back running her hands in his hair. He broke the hug and kissed her forehead, her face in his hands," thanks "

She smiled," but aapka pehla sorry accept nahin hua abhi"

He laughed and placing his hands around her shoulders asked ," tho is keliye mujhe kya karna hoga?"

"mujhse kyun poochrahe ho? kuch bhi karo.." he squeezed her closer and said,"okay chalo..lets go out "

"nahin rey aaj nahin, kal mera last office visit baaki hain aapki dad ki company ka..tho bohot preperations karna ...aap aaoge?" she moved from him removing his hand and taking her laptop moved to the bed and sat on it connecting the charger.he moved behind her and fell on the bed settling on the pillow and closed his eyes

"dad ke office , no way..sab ek hi Q poochenge wahaan- reyaansh kab office join karoge? "

" rey..please jao yahaan se"

"Tumhe mere yahaan rehne se kya problem hain? tum apna kaam karo. I wont disturb you...let me be here..im tired.." Knowing there was no use arguing,she sat on the other side , her legs stretched, laptop on her lap and started her typing, he turned to face her and stared at her continuously making her conscious..she tried to ignore him

"ghar pe koi nahin haina?" she shook her head and continued.

"wow taani ! tum kitni fast type karthi ho" she gave him a look, he placed a finger on his lips...she went back typing...he smiled more broadly and suddenly bent and touched her leg below the knee.

Rey! And she pulled her leg back upsetting the laptop and then caught it in herhands," aap kya?"

"nahin you have a mark here..main bas dekh rahaan tha ki wo birth mark hain ya kuch chot lagi hain"

"mujhe nahin pata...aap please mujhe kaam karne do" she went back to her work , keeping her legs folded now.

He went back to lying down on the side and staring at her...again making her conscious...after a few sec , he asked," chot se yaad aaya, taani hows your lip? Fine ?" and got up to check, sitting on his knees, bending close to her, placing his one hand on her head , lifting up her chin and ran his thumb over her lips... met her eyes...and kissed her quickly. she blushed forgetting her work..As he moved back to sitting on his knee , she closed the laptop.." sorry taani, u continue"

"nahin chodo..mera bhi mood nahin tha"she was anyway tired

Grinning," good..hum dono ke mood kitne similar hain nahin? Lets stay here and relax" he said obviously happy.She threw a pillow at him smiling ,also feeling suddenly relaxed , he caught it and then fell on the bed next to her holding the pillow.she got up and was about to go to the table to keep the laptop when he pulled her from behind holding her waist and she clutched the laptop as she fell sitting on the bed in front of him, his arms holding her waist .

"rey mera laptop! Isse kuch hogaya tho ...chodo please one min" she struggled , frred herself, went and kept the laptop safely on her table and turned - he was lying down comfortably on her bed , head on a pillow hand stretched out looking all relaxed...when loud noises came in from somewhere. Both looked at each other and at the door wondering what it was when they heard simmi s loud voice scream,"nil u r so dead" from somewhere outside the droom

Rey turned over on the bed, his head in his hands pillow on him hoping it wasn't true while taani went to the door, walked slightly outside and came in back," sab hain"

"kyun? " they looked at each other ,taani shrugged both looked disappointed " taani" rey sat up on the bed and said in an urgent tone," chalo, before they see us lets go out"

"par kaise? Dekh tho lenge..if we are going.."

" come " and pulled her to the window

"window se? I cant rey"

"kya cant? Jab main window se har time aatha hoon tab tho bohot excited aur khush hothi ho..." she looked down and scared shook her head," kuch nahin hoga, its not really difficult. I ll go down first and you jump baad mein okay?"

she shook her head and said," yeh kya rey, aise bhaag jaana kyun? hamari life hain hum door se baahar jaayenge, aap kehdo sabse ki aapko mere saath jaana hai ..."

"and everyone will say yes aur phir teasing shuru hoga aur tumhaara wo bhai time frame dega and all that..taani this way no one will even know, " he whispered loudly tempting her," just jump" she still looked unsure ," kya taani" mock disappointment," tum mereliye itna nahin karsakthi?"

"aap emotional blackmail mat karo" knowing she would now jump ,he grinned pulled her near the window, he moved out and jumped down and waited for her down, she looked down- it looked really ...far down, she kept her leg on the sill and then krishnaji bachalena..krishnaji...looked down again as he said jump karo , i ll hold you in a loud whisper...krishnaji ...and jumped just as the door of her room a opened and swayam walked in Taani tum so gayi?

Taani fell almost into reys arms but he slipped from her weight and fell down , both on the ground. Rey got up quickly , lifted taani up from the ground and moved her to the wall , pinning her so that both of them were hidden in the dark, they heard swayam calling her , moving to the window and then back.

And then rey moved slightly , taani looked up at him and giggled, he smiled ," see i told you its so easy" and looked at her eyes bright and excited - she looked like a kid , her hands clutching his shirt in fear and in trust . he held her hands in his and kissed them ," ab chalo before anyone comes out, kahaan chale?" "kahin bhi" she replied her arms linked thro his and they sneaked out.
