Thank you for all the lovely comments you all gave on chapter 2... we have read them all but due to our tight schedules we are not able to reply them but the comments are surely inspiring to us and make us write more and more so do keep with the feedback on the work... you all had one thing common about something fishy in varun's character so here is your answer for that read the update and we are so sure that you will have big smile on your faces if you are in to the story from part 1...
Chapter 3
Varun placed his hands on sharon's waist and picked her up while twirling around as she placed her hands on his shoulders and gazed down in his eyes. After completing the circle he placed her down on her feet but he kept his one hand on her waist while her one hand remained on his shoulder and the other entwined with his free hand and they started moving together on the beat of a salsa song, thirty seconds later the song came to an end and they stopped, caught their breath for a second before turning towards their dancer instructor who was standing at a distance of few feet from them and looking at them with her hands crossed upon her chest and a grave expression on her face.
Varun kept his hand on sharon's waist but she stepped away and varun gave her a quizzical look but she ignored him and focused on their teacher and said still slightly breathless from the dance "this is what we have so far" their teacher Nicole nodded and then replied "You know Sharon I love the way you dance and the way you emote yourself through dance and varun is also equally good but that is both of you individually...together what you two have showed me to simply say is correct in every sense that is related to dance, your moves, grace, expressions, lifts and foot work is accurate but the x-factor the chemistry is missing...I don't know seeing as you were doing a salsa number there should be explosive chemistry between you two but somehow that is missing" Sharon frowned because she was scared it was not just her imagination and she needed to make it work if she wanted to go abroad for higher dance studies so she asked while varun simply shrugged in response lost in his own thoughts to care "so what do we do?"
"I honestly don't know to make you guys grow chemistry with each other, either it's there or either it's not"
"Maybe if we practice some more or try new moves we could work it out"
"Yeah do that, also try a few intimate moves see if that changes anything, gaze into each other's eyes more and make it work guys because of the new annual talent hunt coming up I was hoping you two would represent our college"
"Annual Talent hunt?"
"Yes, Sharon I forgot to tell you about it earlier, it's a talent hunt started collectively by famous universities to offer students in need of scholar ship and help them achieve their dreams, they are hosting competitions in every field from science to arts, it's a pretty big thing and some international universities are also participating in this and you could get an opportunity to go study dance abroad like you wanted to"
Nicole gave her a kind smile as hoped she could work it out. Sharon had always been her favorite student and she had too much talent to let it go waste while Sharon on the other hand stood still surprised. She was finally getting an opportunity she had been waiting for and she knew wanted to win this thing so with new determination she turned towards varun who was busy texting on his phone. She snatched it from his hands and said with her hands on her hips "did you heard what Nicole ma'am said?" he gave her a pointed look motioning towards the phone and holding his hand out "yeah something about a talent hunt...don't worry baby we will rock it...now give me my phone back" Sharon crossed her hands upon her chest and replied "did u heard the part about us lacking chemistry?" varun snatched the phone back from her hands and tucked in away in his jeans pocket before replying "yeah, and I think she is blind if she doesn't see the fireworks go off between us" with this he placed his hands on her waist and pulled her towards his chest and lowered his head to kiss her but she placed a hand on his chest and replied taking a step back "where were you yesterday?" varun let out an annoyed sigh and replied "what you interrogating me now?" Sharon shook her head and this time asked in an angry and firm tone "you didn't text or call where were you?" varun replied getting angry himself "I was busy with family Sharon, I have people in my life apart from you and plz don't go bat sh*t crazy on me and start becoming like those insufferable and clingy girlfriends!" with this he stormed out of the practice hall while her jaw hit the floor. That was the last straw, she was being clingy...she would show him just how much of a bitch she can be.
Sharon went to join the gang in the canteen after. She took time to reach canteen as she went to girl's change room and got a bit fresh and went through her mails and checked messages she had received. After that she decided to talk to Varun alone after whatever has been going on for last few days and specially now where their choreographer cum dance teacher just accused them for lack of chemistry. She definitely needed to get rid of whatever is coming in her way right now so it was really required that she has a private talk with Varun.
Sharon entered canteen and found Varun sitting with Sophia and having some chat which was definitely making Sophia blush and this didn't went unnoticed by Sharon but right now the time needed that Sharon should talk to varun alone rather than ask about reason of Sophia blushing near him because she already knew how to deal with it.
Sharon reached the table and greeted everyone before going to Varun. She reached to Varun pulled him a little aside from the table and said "Varun I need to talk to you alone regarding our dance and things going on for some days now"
Varun defiantly fell something was going wrong from how he wanted things to be so to prevent any unwanted results coming out from their talk he resumed with Gang and asked Sharon "Tell me whatever you need to tell in front of them only because they are our friends and they have every right to know about us"
"Look Varun it's a bit personal conversation so why don't you come aside so that we can talk" Sharon said
"Look Sharon they know each and everything about you and me so there is absolutely no need to hide anything from them" Varun said and gave that winning smirk as if he had beaten Sharon in something that mattered most. But lesser he knew about Sharon that when anybody dragged her from her safe zone that person had invited the cyclone on himself because there is absolutely no body that can stop Sharon when she loses control.
The thing about Sharon is she knows many things but she never lets it out so obvious that one figure out what is there in her mind. She was a fashionista and Diva but she had a very smart head on her shoulder which made her dangerous combination of Beauty with Brains. She somehow always managed to let out things perfectly on time.
"Ok you invited this yourself Varun and I am really not responsible about what happens right now" Sharon said and Simmi figured out really what was coming now because there are rare occasions when Sharon reacts like that.
"Oh really Sweetheart I am all yours and I am ready to accept whatever comes my way now" Varun smirked
"Oh ya then first things Why are being son of Bi**h and not waiting for me after college? What does this Dumb*** friend of your thinks himself something very smart that he tried to touch me that too on my shoulder? And ya which reminds me he dared to touch me because you obviously have to said any decent things about me to them" Sharon said
Varun was like struck and didn't really know how this storm came suddenly and so firmly. He barely had answers for what Sharon asked him and then again before he could reply anything Sharon charged on him again...
"And then back court your great dumb*** circles of friends bloody creep looser were trying to bully and innocent looking guy and thought they were doing some pretty cool stuff, and when I went to stop them they inviting me to join the fun not knowing how much I hated this bullying thing and then your B*****d friend had dare to touch me Sharon Rai Prakash, did he bloody imagine that he doesn't even have the capacity to wash my shoe? And now here you trying to be smarta** and smirking like you tricked me in something you wanted. Don't you get that I am not any of those stupid bimbo you dated? I can bloody sense wrong things around me ok so you better watch out before you say anything to me" Sharon said
Varun had lost all his senses because he had no bloody idea that the girl he thought was his girlfriend would humiliate him in front of whole college like that. Now he had no bloody idea what really to say.
"Sharon sweetheart I had to catch up with my football practice schedule so I wasn't waiting for you after college and rest of the things you said I really have no idea and I don't know if I smirked right now really" Varun spoke like a innocent kid who didn't really know how things happen...
"Don't be such innocent that you don't know anything. This Ajay is practically your second girlfriend after me and he even says how many times he himself went to pee in a day so don't give me that innocent look as if you don't know anything" Sharon said
Varun went numb and dumb because he really didn't have anything to say. He just stood there practically begging Sharon to forgive him and he went on his knees bagging...
Sharon on the other hand looked more confidant now as if she found out a way of getting out of all this mess that she was in.
"You know what Varun thank you for doing this public and showing me how much of creep you are because from the morning I am trying to figure out why our chemistry is not being as effective as it was and why are we being scolded of lack of chemistry? You know what I know now that we lack confidence in each other or rather you have betrayed me by treating me like a bimbo who only thinks about fashion but I am not that bimbo" Sharon said and stopped to breath
"You know what I am more of puzzle which nobody can solve and you have just failed miserably to understand me. And now that I know why I am not able to work with you answers all my questions practically" Sharon said further
"What do you mean by betrayal I have never done that first of all, yes I agree we are being scolded for lack of chemistry but the reason behind it is you because you lack focus in rehearsals" Varun said more firmly now
"Oh really you think I lack focus. Dance is life for me and I will stop dancing when I feel I don't get my focus on dance so just don't comment on my focus, you know what I start getting conscious when person who dance with me are not honest with me about their view on me and I guess in your case the more you went away from me the more I started to vary about our trust in each other" Sharon said
"It's not like that baby. My love we can work this out lets go and practice I am sure we will pull this together" Varun said with pleading eyes
"No it's not needed now really because it's over. You now I know and I am pretty sure what I needed to know for myself and why I felt so not myself this days. Now I will do what my heart says and then I will be better. Varun I am breaking up with you because you surely don't understand me or my way of life. You have proved yourself that you cannot be my perfect partner. So that is it whatever was between me and you is over right now at this place in attendance of all this people now" Sharon said
Varun was still shock he never wanted such result out of the talk in first place that's why he decided to avoid personal talks but this was even shocking because Sharon looked much more firm with her decision of breaking up with him.
"Sharon baby you cannot do this to me. You cannot just break up with like this or in any way" Varun said
"Oh really now khajur like you will say me what I need to do and when" Sharon replied
"Sharon you cannot just insult me in front of whole college like this" Varun said
"You know I don't know what I cannot do but I surely know what I have done right now. So just stay away from me now and buzz off or stay here because I don't want to stay in the place where you stand so I am leaving" Said Sharon and looked at Simmi and Sophia to walk back with her. Surprisingly only Simmi got up and started walking with Sharon wondering why Sophia didn't joined them.
Varun who was being a beggar up to now suddenly started smirking and went more confident and called Sharon "Wait You B***h you cannot just walk of like that, I have one more shocking surprise for you for the day and why should I only get shocks of being dumped it your turn now"
Sharon looked at him very curiously and walked to him back and stood still as if she really wanted to know what surprise was there for her.
"You know however smart you call yourself but you will only stay a bimbo to me because you know why because I am dating your best friend Sophia behind your back for last 6 months and you have bloody idea how much I am enjoying this now finally revealing this to you because the Diva or Smarta** who thinks she can beat me or dump me is getting back what she deserves" Varun said
Sharon looked at Sophia in disbelief and Sophia walked behind Varun leaving Sharon speechless saying " I am really in love with Varun and we both think you are just a distraction in our relationship but reason why Varun didn't break up with you was that he needed to remain in good books of people and professors and being with you was the only way he could get that so I myself allowed him to continue date you and even I don't say anything to you because I just wanted a bloody revenge on you for treating me like your spare part which you can use anyway"
Sharon stood there still listening to them...
"So now you know who dumped whom so stop believing that you are than a bimbo because you are only stupid bimbo" Varun said
Sharon just had enough of this crap and she turned out took a deep breath and moved back to them. Though she was shocked she didn't let it show. She would never give them the satisfaction of her reaction.
"you really think that by screwing behind my back you guys are just so cool and whatever, infact u really are among the dumb species walking on planet earth considering you two just accepted that both of you are characterless people"
Sophia sneered at her and replied "Oh you think you are better than me han, for years you have been treating me as if I was second to you, now I will show who is queen bee. I am dating the hottest boy in college and he just happened to dump you for me"
Sharon couldn't help but laugh at her comment and said "I never treated you any different from simmi, you always wanted what I had anyways, and just for the record and the comprehending problem you seem to have due to the short circuiting of your brain I didn't got dumped, I dumped him in front of everyone who didn't even had enough guts to come clean to me about you earlier, and oh have fun using my tossed away toys"
Sophia fumed in anger while simmi and Sharon smugly smirked at her then she said "I will show you, you bitc* I just threw you down the social ladder and now I am on top by winning varun over and I intend to keep you down me by winning that talent hunt in which did I mentioned varun and me will be participating together"
Sharon gave her a big smile in return and said "I don't give a damn about varun, u can have him and even the rest of his friends by sleeping around with them but baby be ready to cover your face with a paper bag because there is no one who can beat me in dance" with this she threw she hair over her shoulder and walked out of the cafeteria with her head held high and ignoring the murmur of whispers.
Sharon marched out of the cafeteria, how dare that Sophia thinks she can dethrone her like this. This is her college and she will take her down and stomp her feet all over her and that disgusting creature of God and spineless man varun. She couldn't believe she dated him and called Sophia her friend. She sighed as she entered the girl's bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror and waited for her eyes to get moist and the heart break that would follow. Five minutes passed and she still waited getting annoyed at herself, she just broke up with her boy friend and her best friend betrayed her the tears should be flowing now and she wanted to get over the whole crying part as soon as possible but her eyes remained dry and flickers of burning hot anger danced within them. instead of feeling hurt only her anger was sky rocketing by every passing second, she scowled at reflection and though maybe she is really turning into an ice queen and is lacking the ability to feel but then she sighed and her shoulders sagged in disbelief. She knew that sub consciously she was fed up of both Sophia and varun and was starting to listen to simmi and her mind had somehow already prepared her heart for something like this that is why she was not feeling hurt, she was just angry and boy was she thinking of killing them. No one messes with her and gets away with it, absolutely no one. She would show them who the hell is the boss and that she earned the title diva and queen bee of saint loui for a reason.
Swayam walked home with his back pack hung over his shoulders and eyes drawn in confusion. He had been in the cafeteria and witnessed everything that happened and his heart went out to Sharon. He knew she deserved better than that varun but still it must hurt to know that your best friend cheated on you with your boy friend and how only one incident was enough for people to start worshipping Sophia and look down upon Sharon even though she was the one who was the victim. Guess people just like bitchy people to be on top and he knew for a fact that Sharon had a very soft heart. He wanted to go after her and ask her if she is alright or not but he didn't had the confidence and knew she was way out of her league. He kicked the rock on the way and sent a silent prayer for the well being of Sharon. The first ever girl who had given him sleepless nights.
Sharon was about to go and punch the living day lights out of someone when the bathroom door opened and simmi stepped inside and her shoulder immediately sagged in relief when she noticed Sharon standing there. She locked the door behind her and went to hug her asking if she was alright or not. Sharon broke the hug and said pointing towards her face "does it look like I am hurt?" simmi smiled at her and replied "nah it looks like you r about to go kill someone and I might have an idea who that person might be" Sharon growled back "you bet...I am gonna skin both of them alive"
"look Sharon I tried to tell you..."
"I know simmi and I am sorry I didn't listen to you earlier...
"its alright, better late than never...BTW how are you gonna get back at them I mean do u have enough time to go hunt a perfect dance partner for you?"
Sharon bit her lip as she looked at her friend and then took a deep breath before starting to tell her everything about a certain boy who had been haunting her thoughts since she laid her eyes on him.
Swayam ran down the stairs yelling "Nishi come back here and complete your homework" the ten year old girl ran away from her older brother replying "no, I don't want to...I wanna watch TV" swayam tried coaxing her to come out of under the table but she stuck her tongue out at him and replied "nah I wanna watch cartoons" swayam sighed and replied using his firm older brother voice "come out now lil brat or else I will pick up and carry you upstairs myself" Nishi huffed and puffed before crawling out and mumbled "meanie" while swayam chuckled and replied "just math is left, hurry up and finish it...then we will go out to eat ice cream" her eyes lit up like firecrackers and she asked jumping up and down "really bhai?" swayam replied patting her head lovingly "yeah sure" Nishi mumbled about chocolate being her first love and some rubbish like that before turning towards swayam with big innocent doe like eyes and a puppy dog expression on her face and saying "why don't you make me some PB&J sandwiches first" swayam could never say no to her when she looked at him and like this and said "okay fine" Nishi grinned and squealed in delight latching onto swayam's leg who moved towards the fridge to get the things out and Nishi moved along him as she had wrapped herself around his leg. Swayam took the necessary things and placed them on the counter. Then he bent down and picked Nishi up prying her finger off of his leg and placed her on the table and give her a firm talking about doing her math homework while making sandwiches.
Just when swayam finished making sandwiches the door bell rang and swayam became confused. There were not expecting anyone. He wiped his hands off a cloth and moved to open the door and passed the table upon which Nishi was sitting on who jumped on his back and yelled "piggy back ride" swayam just smiled at her and they moved to open the door and as soon as he opened it his eyes popped out of their sockets and he saw the girl standing in front of him and stuttered "Sh-Sharon?"
Sharon saw his eyes go wide when he opened the door. He was looking so adorable, with dark washed jeans, a red button down shirt and grey colored sleeveless sweater. He glasses once again settled on the tip of his nose and seemed as if they would fall of any second and he quickly straightened them with the back of hand while a cute lil girl popped her head from behind him and rested her chin on his right shoulder. Her long brown hair in a braid fell sideways as she looked at her curiously before giving her a grin with two missing teeth. Sharon noticed she had been staring for a while and quickly away just as he asked "wh-what are y-you doing h-here?" while the little girl said "hi" and Sharon took a deep breath before replying "I need your help!"
