Thank you very much guys for all the likes and comments on last chapter they were really sweet and encouraging. We both are too much busy in our lives now days that we don't get time to reply your comments but we surely read it. Sorry guys for being late with update actually Baz is busy with her studies and I had an accident and was ill so was on rest and couldn't write an update early this time. So sorry for that but we promise next time there won't this much delay in updates. Enjoy the new chapter.
Chapter 4
Swayam was pretty sure his eyes would fall down on the ground any second now, as the most pretty and famous girl of his college was standing at his door step and asking for his help. He had no idea how to respond in such a situation so he just kept staring at her open mouthed like an idiot until Sharon bit her lower lip nervously which made something stir in him as his gaze fell on her lips which didn't went unnoticed by her and a soft shade of pink decorated her cheeks but he was pretty sure he was the one looking like a dodge ball among them. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out and he closed it pretty much looking like a goldfish gasping for air and it was when Nishi started tugging at his hair to put her down, did he stopped his goldfish act.
Sharon cleared her throat getting annoyed now; although she wanted nothing more than to pinch his cheeks. He looked so damn cute, baffled and clueless out of his mind. His face was redder than a tomato when she caught him starring at her lips and she was so enjoying his discomfort. No wonder boys like to make girls blush all the time. She waited patiently as he set the little girl down on the ground and then stood up facing her once again asking "M-My Help?"
Sharon nodded and said "Yeah...ummm can I come in?"
Swayam mentally kicked himself for his lack of manners but it was not his fault. He was not used to pretty and popular girls come knocking on his door asking for help. He mumbled a sorry and stepped sideways to let her come in. He took her to a small lounge and she sat on the sofa not at all minding the ancient condition of it.
He asked her "W-would you l-like something to d-drink?"
Sharon shook her head and said getting on her serious face "I need to talk to you swayam about something very important"
Swayam's eyes visibly widened before he asked "a-about w-what?"
Sharon sighed and motioned for him to sit. She was having a feeling this was gonna be a long evening. Just as she was about to open her mouth the same cute little girl jumped on the sofa seat next to her and giggled loudly to herself before asking "what's your name?"
Sharon smiled at her and replied "I am Sharon and who are you?"
Nishi looked at her with her big wide eyes and replied "I am Nishi, you are so pretty"
Sharon chuckled while swayam who was lost in her smile till now said "d-don't disturb h-her Nishi...g-go d-do your w-w-ork"
Sharon gave swayam a soft smile before replying "it's alright" then she turned towards Nishi and said "I might be pretty but not as much as you"
Nishi pulled her knees on the sofa and tucked them underneath her facing Sharon asking with excitement "really you think I am pretty?"
Sharon chuckled and nodded then said in whisper as if telling a secret "You are more pretty than the Disney princesses"
Nishi gave a loud happy squeal which made swayam's heart swell with love for his sister and respect and admiration for Sharon who was enjoying Nishi's company way too much. Nishi threw her arms around Sharon and said "I like you!" Sharon hugged her back replying "I Like You Too" while swayam said "Nishi! Y-you don't j-just t-throw yours-self on p-people"
Nishi gave him a bored look before turning towards Sharon and "pssht!" Sharon brought her ear close to Nishi's mouth who said "My brother is a big fat meanie!"
Sharon burst out laughing while swayam turned red and replied "d-don't Lie!" Nishi smugly crossed her arms on her chest and said "he makes me do my math homework"
Sharon replied controlling her laughter, they both were too adorable to put in words together "I know right, he is a meanie"
Swayam looked at her horrified while she and Nishi high fived and Sharon wanted to take a picture of his face. He looked priceless as if someone just threw him in a tub full of ice cubes. He once again opened his mouth to say something but then thought better of it and hung his head down turning more red if that was even possible.
Something about the way he hung his head irked Sharon way too much for her liking. She knew he had low confidence but she was not here to bully him and she thought she had made that pretty clear. Someone has done a serious damage to his self esteem and self confidence and she wanted to bury that person ten feet under the ground. She felt herself getting annoyed an before she could stop herself she snapped "Swayam!" his head shot up and he nervously pushed his glasses up his nose as his eyes wide with confusion and somewhat fear looked in her own. In that moment she felt something in the pit of her stomach. what was it she had no idea but it filled her with a beautiful feeling and she spoke her next words softly which erased the fear from his eyes and left only confusion in them. : I was just kidding Kay?"
He nodded in reply and Nishi said jumping off of the sofa with an insane amount of energy that only a child of her age could possess and ran towards swayam chirping happily "you r no meanie, I Love you" The smile that grazed swayam's lips as he caught in his sister in his arms the moment she jumped on him and laughed a real laugh made Sharon realize that the man's soul was filled with compassion and whomever he would love, he would love him with a passion and that thought made her feel all warm and fuzzy as swayam tickled his sister who giggled uncontrollably and for the first time for few seconds Sharon saw past his exterior into his beautiful soul. In that moment she decided no matter he helps her or not, she would help him. She would mend his broken confidence if that is the last thing she does and making him agree to her proposal became just all the more important.
Sharon cleared her throat to get his attention who blushed like a girl and quickly retreated into his shell and said "so-r-rry about t-that!" Nishi sensing she was once again being sent to do her homework said "Bhaiyya are we gonna take her to eat ice-cream with us?" swayam was once again at loss of words as he looked at Sharon and quickly explained that they were about to go eat ice-cream. Sharon readily agreed and Nishi happily grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the house down the street towards her favorite ice-cream parlor while swayam dragged behind them confused out of his mind and starting to get anxious. He just wanted to get over with this conversation and know what she wants from him but even his nervous thoughts couldn't remove the smile from his face which danced on his lips when he saw Sharon chat happily with Nishi all the way.
The settled in the corner booth and Nikki happily started devouring her ice-cream while swayam took a deep breath and asked Sharon who was sitting across from him and Nishi their knees almost brushing together due to the confined space and his long legs provided that he was 6'2". "So w-what did you w-wanted to t-talk about?" Sharon gave him a reassuring smile and looked as if she was suddenly reminded why she was here in the first place. She replied "I am assuming you were in the cafe today?" Swayam slowly nodded his head scared which direction this was going. Sharon seemed lost in her thoughts for a minute before she continued "so u must also know about how whole dance competition challenge" swayam meekly nodded his head, dread settling in his stomach and his appetite suddenly lost.
Sharon had a determined look on her face as she said "I don't care about the challenge or both of them at all" swayam asked surprised "really?"
Sharon nodded surprised at herself for telling him all this but she continued none the less "yeah, I don't. Dance for me is not some sort of way to get up the social ladder once again. Dance for me is...me. for me it is far beyond the limits of passion and something beautiful transporting into my safe haven away from all the hustle bustle around me...I however do care about the dance competition as by winning this thing I can get admission into one of the best dance institutions in the world...for me winning the competition is taking a step towards my dream" she raised her gaze from her melting ice-cream to look at him and was bowled over by the admiration on his face.
He was looking at her so intensely that she felt she would melt into a puddle right along her melting ice-cream. It should be a crime to look at someone like this. She cleared her throat awkwardly when he didn't made any comment and said "so ummm...I hope u know now what this competition means to me and I want you to..." she stopped talking when he met his confused gaze. he was clearly getting impatient and the way his eye brows were drawn together made him look like a lost puppy and suppressed an amused giggle not wanting to make him even more confused took a deep breath and finally said "I want you to be my dance partner"
His jaw dropped to the floor with his eyes bulging out of their sockets and mouth hung open in shock. His wide eyes looked at her in disbelief and fear. It took him a few moments but he broke eye contact with her and mumbled "I-I-I I d-d-don't danc-ce" his more than usual stuttering gave away that he was lying and Sharon frowned at him. she was confused ever since she saw him dancing as to why he was hiding such a talent and had came to a theory that maybe he was confidence problem or stage fright. Whatever the reason was she wanted the world to watch him dance and she being she would get her way by hook or by crook.
She smiled at Nishi who had finished her ice-cream and was looking at them in turns confused by the sudden silence. Sharon watched as swayam pushed his ice-cream towards her and she gave him a toothy grin in return which made some of the color return to his face which had turned as pale as a ghost. Sharon softly spoke "swayam look at me" when he didn't she once again said the same thing but with a more firm tone and he slowly looked in her eyes and she saw an immense pool of sadness in his own. She asked him "why are you hiding your talent swayam?" his eyes widened but this time only for a brief second before he composed himself and replied clearly focusing on not to stutter "I don't d-dance Sharon. I don't know w-who gave you such an absurd I-idea but l-look at me I-I can't dance"
"Liar!" Nishi's loud and cheerful voice rang out suddenly making swayam frown at his sister and Sharon give him a smug look while Nishi continued "my brother dances like a how they dance in movie sooo good haha you should see him dance!" swayam scowled at his sister before snapping "Nishi be quiet" this was also his first sentence in which he didn't stutter. Nishi looked at him with her big innocent eyes confused for a second before she stuck her tongue out at him and asked him "why are refusing to dance with her? in movies the pretty boy always dances with the pretty girl" swayam turned red and Sharon laughed out loud and said "it's okay Nishi I will make him dance" swayam turned to face her with a scowl on his face and snapped "I don't d-dance sha-aron, please leave m-me a-alone!" then before she could say anything he grabbed Nishi's hand and dragged her out of the ice-cream parlor muttering a barely audible "goodbye and good luck" while she sat in a daze and deep in her thoughts. That was the first time he snapped at her and what shocked her even more was she was right. He was hiding that fact that he can dance. But the big question was why?
Sharon was still wondering what could be the possible reason why doesn't want to tell that he can dance. She was driving her car but her mind was still there thoughts; yes she was still thinking about why anybody would hide his talent when he can do that thing better than others. She was in the thoughts when suddenly a light came through her eyes and she applied break with full force and car just stopped at very moment. Thank God that she had brand new Porsche car which was renowned for its dynamic features and that proved today that she saved herself from an accident because of high-tech facilities that her car had.
"Princess If you are serious about dying then please choose another car, I don't want to get into trouble of Police and all" Driver of the other car in which Sharon was about to bump spoke
"I am sorry I was really lost in something" Sharon replied
"Its ok don't think too much about other things while driving and focus on Road ahead" The man replied
The man went ahead on his way and Sharon again started car and reached her home. She placed her wallet on drawer and lay down on bed. Still the thoughts of Swayam's behavior were ringing around her head. She wanted to know why he was denying dancing with her. More than that she wanted to tell him that she has seen him dance that's why she chooses him to be partner.
After thinking for hours she finally decided to confront Swayam again in the morning in the college and ask him to rethink about what he said. Finally that decision got her relax a bit and finally she went to sleep.
Next morning everything was new in college. There was gossip going on about how Sharon-Varun broke up and how Varun-Sophia cheated on Sharon. Sharon didn't give this talks too much attention because still convincing Swayam was the only thing going on in her mind. She attended her morning lectures and after the bell for morning session rang she decided to search for Swayam at Rehearsal Hall at that time because she knew during classes the Rehearsal Hall used to be free and no one will be visiting it there so it will be most probably the perfect place to talk to Swayam also.
She went to Rehearsal Hall, from the morning she has successfully avoided talking to everyone except Simmi who knew how much Sharon was focused on the competition and searching a new partner for herself. Sharon went through crowd and reached Rehearsal Hall successfully there she saw Swayam dancing as she saw previous day.
But this time she didn't hold back and entered the Rehearsal Hall and that surprised Swayam. As Swayam was not expecting anybody to be at Rehearsal Hall during the time of classes, he was worried as who could be there and that person might have seen him dance. What if somebody reports to the culture department and he might be taken on board for not taking permission for using the college Dance Rehearsal Hall. Swayam had successfully avoided music because he used his music player with ear plug inns to avoid sound of music.
Just than Swayam saw that the person was Sharon and she was coming towards him only. He took few steps back gathered his things and pretended not to have noticed Sharon and started going outside. Sharon caught him and faced him right in the eye.
"I saw you noticed me and trying to avoid my questions but that's not the way to deal with Sharon Rai Prakash" Sharon said
"No there is nothing like that I already told you answer to your question that I cannot dance" Swayam said
"Oh please Swayam don't lie at list now, you were dancing here now and you were dancing here yesterday also I had seen you here yesterday also" Sharon said
Swayam was shocked to hear that she had seen him dance and she knew he can dance. But he needed to avoid her questions because otherwise there is no way he can deny her to dance. "Look I don't know whom you saw yesterday dancing, but I am sure that wasn't me and right now I was just her to talk on phone to somebody because it was personal and I needed silence to talk" Swayam said
"Oh really you mean I dreamt out of nowhere that it was you dancing in front of my eyes and that too for two days continuously. Are you kidding me Swayam or what" Sharon said
"No I d-dd-don't dance Sharon" Swayam stammered because he was worried that his lie would be caught soon if he didn't leave so he started to walk away.
Just then Sharon spoke again which shocked Swayam, "I can saw you the moves that you did while dancing yesterday and today so don't try to make me confuse in your talks because I am sure you can dance and it were you only, weren't you? Come on say it Swayam, spilt out the truth for once god damm it" Sharon said
"Fine, ya it was me who danced here and yes I can dance but I cannot be your partner please understand" Swayam said
"Huh- Finally you accepted that you were the one and I wasn't dreaming. And why can't you be my partner? I have seen you and trust me you are better than every other boy I have seen dance then why are you saying that you cannot dance with me" Sharon said
"Look Sharon I have my own reasons for doing this, I understand what possession you are in now but trust me I am not the one who can help you out of this because I myself have too many things to sort out in my life so please forgive me for doing this to you and find a better partner because there are so many trained dancers around here I am sure somebody will qualify to your demands" Swayam said and walked out again on Sharon.
But this time Sharon was shocked because her sixth sense guessed it right that there must be some very good reason for which Swayam doesn't want anybody to know about his dancing. But now he doesn't know me I will make him understand that Dancing can be the solution to his problems in life if he really wants to shut all the problems in his life for once. But for making him understand in this first I will have to find out the reason which is keeping his feet tight.
Now she was in deep thinking as to how to find out the reason behind his denial. Finally an idea came to her mind and she smiled. She knew very well that there was something she could do and she can easily find out what the reason could be. She just got up and got going to her car because she surely had found her way through this problem now.
