i just loved the chapter...yeah 1st i did think though *guilty*😳

Chapter 2

Nights , they have their own subtle elegance . People keep pacing towards their goals in an attempt to reach their destinations for the entire day span . But exhaustion , rejection and exasperation is what they earn for the sweat and blood they have put in . But nights , they are different . Moments running out of our hands like sand suddenly slow down and come to a halt . And the entire world around you stops giving you the opportunity to take a step back and glance into what is most important , you .

Reyaansh , the casanova , the college heart throb , the rich spoiled brat as people put in . People , they envy him for the life God has bestowed upon him . Without a worry in life , he is blessed up with all the richness in the world . But little do they realize the surmountable adversities that lies in those pleasing , superficial smiles .

Envy ? He laughs it off . Envy for the fame , the popularity that he has garnered over time or for those numerous girls who would give their entire selves for his one glance ? Life is ironical and so are the the people in it .

How he wished to tell people if popularity and fame were enough to give him the solace he seeked , he wouldn't have been here wandering in the woods at this hour of night all alone in search of something substantial in his life . If money and sex was equivalent to ultimate pleasure , he wouldn't have been seeking for happiness in these dark corners of solitude . Paradox , this world and its entities .

He paved ahead into the dark forest surrounding the campus as he heard the blissful sound of the leaves swaying with the breeze and the nocturnal creatures humming to their own accord . He closed his eyes and sighed . These were a few , minute moments in his life where he didn't pretend to be someone else . These was the only time you could witness the real himself in him , the real Reyaansh .

He inhaled fresh air enveloping the atmosphere and rubbed his palms to attain some warmth . The weather was cold and the swaying breeze was enough to make anyone shiver like a leaf

He decided to head back to the college hostel as it was getting late when his eyes fell on the burning flame a few yards ahead . Sensing trouble , he paced forward to see what was going on . Stepping out of the hostel was strictly prohibited after 7:00 and being the GS of the college he had to make sure if everything was alright .

He reached the spot and sighed in relief . The burning flame was nothing but an ignited bonfire. He stepped ahead to a lone feminine figure sitting on the rock bear the fire looking at nowhere in particular , completely oblivious to his presence .

"Hey you , what are you doing here ? You are not supposed to be here at this hour of the night ."

Her eyes moved in the direction of the voice and he could get a complete view of her face enlightened due to the fire .

" So the rules aren't applicable to you ? " , She replied curtly .

" No they aren't . I have never seen you in the college premises before . You seen to be a fresher . I am Reyaansh Singhania , the GS of this college . Now that you know , kindly get up and head back to your hostel . This area isn't safe . Dawn will break in a few hours and tomorrow is your first day at college so its better that we head back " .

She stood up and poured some sand on the fire extinguishing it and started walking .

She turned around . " I presumed even you were coming . I dont know the way to the premises " , she spoke coldly , her voice as stern as ice .

He widened his eyes in amazement and headed forward to lead her to the gate . A lot of attitude and a lot more of fierceness huh ? Interesting enough .

He looked at her face which shone in the moonlight . She possessed striking features but what caught his attention was her big , doe-like eyes . Unlike her voice , her eyes displayed warmth and glistened like sheer dew-drops .

He averted his gaze and cleared his throat .

" So uhhm whats your name ? In which stream have you taken admission ? " , he initiated the conversation as they stepped ahead , unable to digest the unwanted silence .

" Kria Ghai , First Year Biotech " , She replied to the point as if she was answering some Viva .

" Oh so you are the boards topper and the scholarship yielder ! Principal Sir was looking forward to meet you . I must say your grades are amazing " , he tried to be a little more warm .

" Thanks "

Thanks ! Thats it ? Here was trying to be a bit more amicable and she has to be head-on ! Fine then , he too was not going to be welcoming .

They walked further and reached the college gate .

" Tomorrow , the principal will address the students in the college auditorium m Be there by 7 incase if you don't know " , He spoke before heading towards the boys hostel .

" I know . Thanks anyways " , she replied curtly and walked off without sparing him a glance .

He stood there and stared at the retreating figure in disbelief . No girl talked to him like that and this girl royally ignored him . He was not used to such behavior , not at all . He glanced at her for one last time and headed back to his hostel as a new morning awaited him .

Firstly , don't get confused . I have changed the name of this FF from Obscure Concoctions to "A Million Mistakes"

I am so sorry for almost abandoning this FF . I am not at all used to writing FFs ... I am one lazy being and I lose the flow. I really want to get used to writing FFs and I am determined to write and complete this one.

Apologies if this was complete crap. I have lost the flow and i myself don't know what on earth I have written😆 .

Haven't proof read so please ignore the typos ..will proof read it after 8😆

I will really appreciate reviews . They will help me boost up .Next update by this sunday 😊
