Chapter 6:

Arjun put a hand on sameer's shoulders which brought him back to present.He took out his wallet and from there the ring he had bought for her 8 years back.He had kept that with him,the testimony of his broken dreams.

Arjun took the ring from him and took a look at it.It was indeed beautiful and a very good choice.A platinum build with two hearts overlapping each other with two diamonds on each as if signifing the love the two hearts bored for each other.'What an Irony',Arjun thought.He kept looking at the ring in hand and waited for sameer to continue further.

Sameer was looking outside from the balcony into the darkness of the night.His life was in an equal shade of darkness.And to make it worse,the sun was herself being the darkness preserver.He felt parched but water cant fulfil his thirst.It had taken every ounce of his heart and mind to stop thinking about her.

He had always kept himself busy to avoid her memories from clouding his mind.The remaining days, before he joined the academy for the training, were more than the torture he had always gone through when at home.He never had peace at home,and being betrayed by the only lady he had loved and trusted had broken him with every breath he had taken after that.
He had always tried to search for her.Called up his friend a thousand times to know if he had met her.But everything had just turned negative.

Then came the day,the most fateful day he had ever spent in his life.ETF had been informed of an illegal arms consignment being transfered to dubai and they had started investigating.It was then that they had come to know of a secret godown where the arms are to be kept before getting transfered.

ETF had raided the place and in the process some of the people were killed.They had caught a few and the leader of them name Raja.Raja had suddenly got lose and got hold of a revolver lying in the ground and tried to shoot at Rathore when a gun shot was heard from behind rathore and raja fell down dead,shot at his head.Rathore looked back to find 'HER',standing with the pistol in hand and sakshi at her gun point.If rathore would have been killed that very moment he would not have mind.He kept staring at her and unknown to him his hold got loose on the gun holder and the gun fell from his hand.Hiting sakshi on the head with the butt of the gun,'SHE' pointed her gun towards Rathore.Arjun had kept himself hidden,but one look at the lost rathore,he was getting more confused.He gradually moved towards the back silently and was just about to hold 'her' when she pulled the trigger and before it could hit rathore ayesha pushed him and the bullet grazed her hand.Then again firing started and arjun and chotu tried to tackle them but in turn got heavyly injured with 2 bullets at his rib cage and another on his shoulder.By then back up team came and took hold of situation.Thus, the remaining men and 'SUSHMA' was arrested. That was their first meeting after 8 years.

It was morning by the time Arjun and Rathore had come back from the memory lanes.The sun was shining brightly giving the sign for the beginning of the day.Arjun looked at the dejected Rathore and knew completely,the days coming up will be long and difficult.He got up from the sofa and looked towards Rathore,

'So sapna is sushma and she had kept herself hidden from you all this while.Rathore its getting more complicated now.why did she come back now after so long?we need to interogate her soon,rathore we should speak to the commissioner'

'I have already done that rawte but interpol has already started with her case,we cant do anything.'

'but then why were we attacked??'

'I dont know rawte,i am just confused i just dont know where everything is leading,nways we already have a case at hand so we need to get that solved first,chalo ready hoke office chalte hai',rathore said and got up to leave for his room when,

'rathore,ye...' Arjun said giving him back the ring.Rathore looked at him and took it and kept it back in his wallet.

After an hour in ETF office:

'Shree,ayesha aur sakshi kaha hai?',rathore barked at shree..

'sir,wo zarin se milne gaye hai'

'ok,call records nikale?'

'Yes sir,last call rocky ko hi gaya tha and it was quite long about 36 minutes,aur haan sir kuch messages aur mms delete kiye gaye hai aur mms jo delete huye hai sab use bheje gaye the bas 1 mms hai jo nita ke phone se bheje gaya tha'

'use recover kar sakthe ho?usme zaroor kuch to hai jo wo chupana chahati thi',arjun asked

'meine operator ke office mein baat karli hai,we will get it by the evening'

'good. aur bank details?uske parents ke?'

'nothing sir,seems all fine'

'rawte hame rocky se milna hoga chalo',rathore said and moved out of the conference room.

Arjun and Rathore reached rocky's place and took a look.It was a well furnished bunglow.Money was dripping from every part of the building.Lots of people roaming about all over the house.Servants,caretakers,gardeners,gatekeepres,security guards and so on.A middle aged man came up to them when the stood at the door of the house,

'ETF,hame rocky se milna hai',Rathore said showing his ID card to him,

'ETF? but rocky se kiyu?usne kiya kiya hai?,the man asked

'shayad ek murder,waise ap kaun hai?

'what??murder??rocky nei??',the man said totally surprised at the mention of a murder,
'ap baithiye mein rocky ko bulata hu.Mein yaha ka manager hu,Somesh meheta.Rocky ke pita,i mean is ghar ke malik Mr. Jaidev Tandon,mein unke liye kam karta hu,office mein,ghar mein,mein hi unka manager hu.'

'Ap yaha pe kab se kam kar rahe hai?Is ghar mein aur kaun kaun hai?',Arjun asked

'Mein yaha pe pichle 12 saal se kam kar raha hu.Rocky matlab Rakesh,sir ke chote bete hai.Unka bara beta Mahesh unke saat unka business samhalte hai.Mahesh zada tar time bahar India se bahar rehete hai,kam ke silsile mein.Abhi kuch din pehele Dubai se wapas aye hai.Sir ko ek contract ke liye US jana para is liye yaha pe business abhi wo hi samhal rahe hai'

'Kiya business hai apke sir ka?'

'Import Export ka.Bohot sare foreign companies ke sath hamara colaboration hai,waha ka kaam mainly Mahesh bete dekhte hai,aur yaha ka khud Sir.'
By this time rocky had come downstairs,clad in a loose trouser and t-shirt,just out of sleep.One look at him and both the officers had an instant dislike for him.A typical spoilt brat of a wealthy family.

'ye ETF se hai,tumse kisi murder case ke silsiley mein baat karna chahate hai', Somesh told rocky who still was in the same dozed state,

'kiska murder?aur usse mera kiya vasta?',he retorted back least interested that some police officers are just in front of him,

'Nita ko tum jante hi hoge ya fir bhool gaye??do din pehele uska murder ho gaya hai,cocain overdose.usne last call tumhe kiya tha marne se pehele,to ab tum samjhe ya mein samjhau?',a furious arjun barked at him.

'Nita ka murder??,the eyes almost popping out,rocky sat there perplexed,'mujhe kuch nehi pata tha.mein usse 4 din se nehi mila,usne mujhe phone kiya tha per meine uthaya nehi,phir do din se phone nehi aya to mujhe laga wo samaj gayee or phone nehi karegi,mujhe bilkul andaza nehi tha ki uska murder ho gaya hai'

'samaj gayee matlab??kiya samajna tha use??'

'wo mujhse pyar karti thi par mein to use pyar nehi karta tha,par wo samajh hi nehi rahi thi.kuch din pehele college mein humara bohot bara jhagra hua aur meine use bata diya.fir wo chali gayee.phir next din se mili nehi,phir achanak 4-5 din pehele se phone kar rahi thi,message kar rahi thi.meine reply nehi diya to wo calls aur msgs ana band ho gaye,fir usne 2 din pehele hi call kiya tha pata nehi kiyu?per uske murder mein mera koi hath nehi hai,i promise'

'hath hai ya nehi wo hum decide kar lenge,filhal ke liye tum is seher se kahi nehi jaoge,hume zaroorat hogi to tumhe ETF office ana hoga,samjhe ya ...'

'mein samajh gaya sir..',

Arjun and rathore left the place without a look back after giving the same instructions to the manager.
