It was disconcerting to see Payal like that.!

Contrary to what she is thinking, that love has made her weak, I think love is turning her into a stronger person, as not only is it helping her get a sense of perspective, but also making her introspect and realize her mistakes...An egoistic person like her realizing she is not infallible.. is a big deal.

About the whole career vs relationship angle...I don't think Payal is being selfish if she wants to pursue her dreams...Wouldn't Aakash have done the same if given an opportunity? .A woman wanting to do it brands her as a selfish bi***, while a man who pursues his dreams is goal oriented, smart..and what not.. She is not married, doesn't have any kids...now is the right time to pursue her dreams...and if their relationship is strong enough, it should survive the physical distance..Emotional closeness should make up for it.

And long distance relationship, in this day and age, is not that grave an issue, anyways...

Amazing update...

Today I felt sorry for Payal... She never shied away to give her opinion about Arnav and Khushi relationship... But her own relationship with Akash is flawed...

They are in a difficult situation, aint'y they? Akash in the beginning was highly confused. We all know and have read and heard a lot that communication is important in any relationship. Still what is he doing? He is avoiding Payal even after he said whatever he had to say to her. Payal said something unforgivable to Arnav and he reacted considering his brother's state but after that why was he not listening to Payal. He loves her. but that's the reality. Sometimes we all know what we should do and what we should not do but the feelings are so overwhelming and confusing that we leave it completely. Thankfully here Payal was not the one to give up and she came up to meet him otherwise this would have taken a negative turn.

I've seen both kind of people. some going separate ways because they think long distance is just too much for them to handle and others who never let go off each other emotionally for years during such times. So it's a very personal call. But I would agree with Akash that he is being a hypocrite. 😛 I mean when he knows that he himself would have taken the same decision if he had to go then why feel so bad. He can just say that he will miss her but she should go. It won't unman him. Forget about girlfriend boyfriend there are married couples who live separately sometimes because one is studying, sometimes because their jobs don't let them stay together always. Twiggy you made me realise with this update once again that our society hasn't yet come out completely out of its old school of thoughts.

Payal and Akash are not bad people as such, they both have their flaws and love is about accepting both the sides. Love is also about growing up together and they may learn few things from each other. Payal can learn to speak tactfully without hurting other's feelings from Akash and Akash can be more honest and accepting of her goals and dreams.

My comment has become too long and here I thought I'll try to convey my thoughts in few lines. *facepalm*

I can't pick sides. Payal is right and Akash too knows this. He has seen her for the first time, though a bit late. It's obvious I think, to be a little confused and therefore miffed at her and at himself too. And like you said this is really an inopportune moment for this. His earlier outburst at her was I suppose a result of holding himself back for sometime. Was she wrong in not telling him about Duke, she was and though I think he was in a way right in being hurt, confused and angry, he too is wrong when he shut her out.

I just adore you, you have put it a very realistic way. C'est la vie!

Last update was exclusively for Arnav and Kushi, this one you just dedicated for Akash and Payal. And few updates back it was almost full of Arnav and Payal, This shows how you give importance to all the characters and how you like to sculpture them, this reminds Meera's stories (I miss her writings :'( ) how she portrays her story with all characters shaping them chapter by chapter.

It is good that both talked about her carrier and how she stubbornly said that she want to go ahead with it, Akash for now accepted for this long distance will he be comfortable in future or will he regret and feel that he said ok in the spur of emotional moment, but one thing is sure there Payal will have have sufficient of time to mentally analyze and train how to use her tongue with less pricky. obviously she can do it, she is one stubborn women whom I like.
