That was very satisfying ending. You tied up all the loose ends perfectly. I could hear the young Khushi asking Thami...how does one become a woman...and now she is...a very fulfilled woman.

sigh! what an epic ending!

That was a cute ending.. ArHi together and their Arjun.. Even Arnavs father believes him and then they coming to see their grandchild.. Such a sweet ending...

Not just a man... how can a society with scores of people can see a woman in a child?

Khushi wasnt just married as a child, her husband was 13 yrs older than her. What if he had seen the woman in her which we cant? *shudders*

Arnav was a good man. Khushi learnt to love him. What if she had not? Khushi was a good child/ woman. Arnav learnt to love her. What if he had not? *shudders*

Pranab fell for/ crushed over Khushi is natural. Both were of the same age, engaging in the same kind of activities be it work or play and were friends. What if Khushi had returned those affections? *shudders*

First Arnav's father's money and influence protected him and later his luck, good-nature and his honest practise did. What if he had never returned? *shudders*

There are so many questions on these lines that could have been raised but didnt.

Thankfully, none of these or others happened in your story. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

A Late Spring and The Bride with a Doll both are such different stories... but both are visually vivid. I can see Kolkatta and all that it entailed before my eyes just as well as I could imagine Landour... 👏

Khushi's journey from her mayka to her sasural, from just a child to a bride, from a girl to a woman, from a ward to a wife... At times heart-warming and at times heart-breaking...

Arnav's journey from a lad to a man, from a dependent son to an independent husband, from a student to a doctor, from a fiery freedom 'fighter' to a mature practitioner, from a guardian to a husband... At times face-palming and at times sigh-inducing...

The realism with which you dealt with their love story was so good too. Beyond the tags of husband and wife there are emotions and expectations attached which when handled with care can lead to love... and what love... A love which was promised silently by a riverbed salvaged a torn heart one depressing evening... The very love which brought him back, the very love which forced him to take her with him...

We love our family, we hate our family but at the end of the day it is our family. We turn to them in our darkest times... But it is unfortunate when we cant turn to them even then. That is when we realise their true importance. We also turn to our family when we want to share all the love or luxuries that we have. What is the point of having either if we cannot share it with our flesh and blood???

But antt bhala toh sab bhala. Arnav, Khushi, Arjun and the rest of the family happily together... 'aur jeene ko kya chahiye??'

Btw, this is the Khushi I imagined when Arnav kissed her at the doorway the first time. Not a woman but certainly not a child anymore 😊

Hi dee. Sorry i wasn't able to respond to any of your pms and neither was i able to read the story :( My exams were goingon and they finally ended. Just finished reading the whole story and i justwante to say you've written it so beautifully :)

superb n fantastic epilogue..wow nice ending with gud hope..and our kushi has even got a live doll to cradle..now she is a mother..the heart n eyes of arhi spoke well n understood well..kushi was a gem n so precious to arnav in every way..she was his happiness...and they both joined to their family again with a ray of hope...lovely ending..
