Khushi stood there in front of the lion, waiting for his final verdict. She looked at him. He was thinking very hard. And Khushi was desperately praying for a YES. If he will not settle for her than where will she go? She has no other way! Please, please, please, Devi Maiya, let him agree, please! Prayed Khushi, desperately. And as an answer to her Prayer, Arnav Singh Raizada started...
"So, Miss. Gupta! I will give you the money!" declared Arnav.
"Thank you very much, Sir,thank you very much! I will never let you down! I will do exactly what you want" replied Khushi, thanking her stars that she was successful in convincing him.
"Ok, the money will be deposited in your account. You can cash it from there! And came tomorrow evening to sign the contract!" said Arnav, devoid of any emotions. Not paying a heed whether what he is going to do is right or wrong?
"Contract? But Sir I thought that...that..." but she was cut off by the lion himself.
"Stop thinking, Miss. Gupta! That's not your work to do from now on! You will just follow my array! And you can give your mind a rest!" countered Arnav. If she thinks that she will have a say in this than she can dream on because Arnav Singh Raizada never follows any one, he makes his own rules and regulation and everyone else pursues it.
"Yes, Sir! As you say. Now I will take your leave." Said khushi, nodding her head and started turning towards the door but as soon as she turned she heard a female voice.
"Chhote...Chhote..." same one was calling and the voice was advancing towards the study room.
Chotte?? Who is Chotte here?? Thought Khushi and saw that an elderly lady stood in front of her and was staring at her curiously.
"ammm...Namaste, Maaji! Are you searching for someone? You were calling some Chhote. Are you here to meet Mr. Raizada and lost your grandson? Is that so? Ya it must be that only...you see that...this house is so big...any one can get lost...don't worry Mr. Raizada will help you in finding your grandson." Prattled Khushi, drawing her own conclusion.
The lady looked at Khushi and her lips broke into a smile. Such a sweet and innocent girl! Thought the lady, but what is she doing here in Chhote's study?
"Chhote? Who is she? And why are you not at the dining table, already?" asked Arnav's Nani confused at why his always punctual grandson was not on time for dinner.
"Chhote?? Where can you see your Chhote, Maaji? There is no one here except you, me and Mr.Raizada!" asked Khushi confused and moved her head around to see if any boy was hiding somewhere in the room.
Nani chuckled and looked towards Arnav to see some expression on his face but his face was as usual, expressionless!
"I was talking to your Mr.Raizada only, dear!" said Nani, smiling.
Khushi took a moment to process, to what the elderly lady standing in front of her has said and when Khushi's mind has completed the execution, her laughter echoed the entire room.
Arnav looked at the girl in front of him, laughing her heart out on his expense, mesmerized! Is it possible for someone to be that happy? She is going through a hard time and has just agreed to his conditions than how she can be so happy? Is it so easy to be happy? Then why can't he feel happy? He has just made a profitable deal with her than why isn't he feeling happy? Arnav looked at Khushi fixedly and suddenly felt jealous of her!'
"Miss. Gupta!!!" bellowed Arnav Singh Raizada.
Khushi heard the lion's roar and her laughter died in her throat! She looked at his direction and as an impact of his raging eyes moved few steps back. She stood in front of him, bowing her head down and fidgeting with end of her dupatta.
"I am...I am...I sorry Sir. Very sorry. I don't mean to...to...to..." started Khushi but was immediately cut off.
"I very well know, Miss.Gupta what do you mean so please now leave!" fluked Arnav Singh Raizada.
"Yes, sir! I will leave now!" blurted Khushi and bolted out of the study room.
Nani looked at Arnav for some explanation but he averted his eyes from her. And Nani immediately got her answer. She now knew what a girl was doing in his grandson's study. Nani watched him helplessly.
"Chhote you can't be serious! You are actually planning to do that? " asked Nani, disbelievingly.
" I am serious,Nani! And I will do what I feel is right!" countered Arnav.
"Arnav!! You can't do this! There is other ways to..." Shouted Nani but Arnav cut her off.
"I have said you earlier, Nani and I am saying again that I will not compromise on anything!" said Arnav, annoyed. Why his Nani is making it so big deal? What is wrong in this?
"Arnav, you are not understanding, dear! You can't ruin someone's life like this. If you can't give her the condign position, than you don't have the right to go ahead with this" said Nani, exasperated. Why is her grandson like this? Where has she gone wrong? How he has become so cold-hearted?
"I will Nani! I will! She has agreed to this and I am paying her for this! She has willingly agreed to this! Than how am I ruining her life, Nani?" asked Arnav. Unable to understand his Nani's point.
"What? You are paying her for this?" asked Nani, shocked!
"Yes!! She needs money for her Buaji's treatment and I have agreed to pay her Buaji's hospital bill off in return" said Arnav, casually as if it's not at all a big deal.
Devyani Singh Raizada gaped at the audacity of her grandson and stood shocked. He is ruining an innocent's life and he is asking what is wrong? He is exploiting the situation as per his convenience without giving a heed to anyone else's life and he thinks that nothing is wrong? What does he think? That he can buy anything with his damn money?! Hey Devi Maiya what should I do to put some sense in my grandson's thick skull thought Devyani Singh Raizada, helplessly!
"What do you think, Arnav Singh Raizada? That you can buy anything with your money? You can even buy LOVE!? " asked Devyani Singh Raizada, not giving up but she isn't aware that it's a lost battle she is fighting! Her stubborn Grandson has taken the decision and now no one can stop him!
"Yes, Nani! I can buy anything? ANYTHING! " clamored, Arnav Singh Raizada!
Devyani Singh Raizada let out a sarcastic smile at her grandson's answer! And now she knew this is a lost battle and she can't do anything, now! But she prayed, prayed to her Devi Maiya for his Grandson, to forgive him, to not punish him. She is afraid, afraid for her grandson because she had seen the world enough and knows how the world of her Devi Maiya works and how she sometimes plays her cruel game to bring men like Arnav Singh Raizada on his knees in front of her, helpless! But now she can't do anything but see everything helplessly unfold in front of her! But if his grandson thinks that he will always have his way that he is so wrong! He wants everything thing materialistic, right? So now his Nani, Devyani Singh Raizada will look into this!
"You know what, Arnav? I would have left this house and you this very moment, and as you said you can buy anything than I would have loved to see you buying a Nani for yourself! But what to do, my child? I can't be like you, heartless. I have a mother's heart and I am helpless in front of my heart!" with that final statement Devyani Singh Raizada left the study, thinking of ways to mend few things which her grandson is going to destroy!
