Friends,

I'm back with a new SS on Payal's request. She wished it for Rakshabandhan - An Arjun - Payal : Bhai - Behen bonding SS - but due to some commitments I couldn't write it then. So I'm starting it now with a prologue and it will end sometime around Bhai-dooj.

Anmol Bandhan

Prologue

----------------

She was screaming at the top of her voice in the police lock up as a lab techinician from Government hospital tried to take her blood sample, "Leave me ... Chhodo mujhe... mai koi blood test nahi karwaungi... tum log jante nahi ho mai kaun hoon...Mujhe yaha rakh ke achchha nahi kiya tum logo ne... Mere Dad ko pata chalega to achchha nahi hoga... Chhodo mujhe... koi zarurat nahi hai mere blood test ki... haan... liye hain maine drugs... apne Dad ke paise se drugs leti hoon... unhe koi problem nahi hai... to baki kisi ko kyun takleef hai ..."

A lady constable(barks at her): chup kar ... kitna chilla rahi hai ...kitni besharmi se bol rahi hai ki drugs leti hai... gair kanooni kaam karti hai ... aur humko dhamkati hai...

Girl(pushes the lab technician and smirks): Gair Kanooni ? to tum police wale jo mere Dad se har mahine rishwat lete ho ... wo Gair Kanooni nahi hai? bade aaye mujhe kanoon sikhane wale...

A voice loud enough to shut up the girl and Lady constable, "Enough! Kya ho raha hai ye sab?"

So how was it?

Pre cap :

Girl sees the officer has mellowed down after she told him her father's name and smirks, "Janti thi mai ... mere Dad ka naam sun-ke achchhe achchhe officers ki bolti band ho jati hai ... to fir tum kya ho?"

The officer flares up on hearing this, "Agar tumhe lagta hai ki mai tumhare baap ka naam sunke dar gaya hoon... galat lagta hai tumhe ... mai to sirf isliye chup ho gaya kyunki badkismati se mere sabse achchhe dost ... aur ... department ke ek jaanbaaz, kaabil aur bedaag officer ke naam ke aagey bhi yehi naam lagta hai... dukh hua mujhe tumhe yaha is tarah se dekh kar... tumhare liye bhi aur apne dost ke liye bhi... isliye behtar hoga ki tum humare saath co-operate karo... aur mujhe sakhti baratne k liye majboor mat karo"

The girl is startled at this reply.

Character sketch:

Arjun Suryakant Rawte :

A Brave, smart and dedicated cop. He joined police serveices against his father's wishes. His father disowned him. He is currently chief of Crime branch. He misses his younger sister who was like a daughter to him.

Sameer Rathore:

Another brave, smart and dedicated cop. He is Arjun's friend. They were trained together. He is currently chief of Narcotics cell.

Payal Suryakant Rawte:

A young and beautiful girl who is now victim of drug abuse. She lost her mother when she was very young and later she was very close to her elder brother Arjun who has taken care of her like a daughter. He has played both her mother and father. When her brother left to join Police force, her father disowned him and Arjun left the Rawte Mansion and never returned. She was angry with her father who never cared for the family. She started doing all the things that would embarrass her father. Gave up studies and got into company of wrong friends who slowly dragged her to alcohol and drug comsumption. She was arrested couple of time for driving under influence of alcohol. She used to get a sadistic pleasure when her father had to get embarrassed in front of policemen while bailing her out.

Mr Suryakant Rawte:

A rich industrialist who has always been obsessed with his work. All he gave to his family was money. He could never spend time with his children Arjun and Payal. He could never understand their emotional needs. He took it as a personal insult when his son Arjun refused to follow him and join his business and join police force. He disowned him. After Arjun left he knew Payal was upset but he never had time to spend with her. All he could do was to compensate it with more money and luxuries of life, which she always abused. And he slowly started ignoring her which caused more issues between the father and daughter. And slowly he left the responsibility on his lawyer and other associates to take care of the problems that Payal used to create intentionally.

Aisha Kapoor / Nadiya :

An undercover officer working with drug peddlers who gives tip off on the rave parties. She reports to Chief of Narcotics cell Sameer Rathore directly.
