The dynamics of Arnav and Khushi's relationship is changing as surely as the seasons are. I love the way Arnav refers to Khushi as 'his Khushi' in his head. And the very fact that they can sit together in companionable silence tells us that their relationship has reached a level many can only hope to witness for themselves one day. It's the mundane details which make this tale so extraordinary. It's as if the story has a heart of its own and it beats in sync with the one in my chest.

Arnav never thinks about chasing after Khushi. He just wants to meet the Khushi he knew. If that isn't divine love I don't know what is. Even Khushi's father can see it. There is a serenity...a soothing factor which your words always bring in.

I really want to know what Arnav said to Khushi exactly because it seems to have breathed life into her.

Enthralling. Stunning. Oh, this is my favourite chapter...yet!

Thank you!!
I think one point which hasn't come across in this so far, and this is my fault for not clarifying but Arnav doesn't love Khushi in a romantic sense. The love they share transcends the expectations placed on love and and friendship. This is a dependable, unwavering love of mutual understanding and companionship it is a bond we seek from every relation in life rolled into one and can't be defined. They are not lovers yet, such emotions seem futile in light of the bigger picture right now, but that's not to say they won't progress to that point later. Change and evolution is an unavoidable facet of life and their relationship will continue to morph and grow, but right now that's not relevant. Does that make sense?!
As for the dynamics of that conversation, hopefully my note at the end of all this will shed some light on why I stopped when I did. Sorry!

That's what I was thinking too. That he isn't looking at her in a romantic light, he just wants to meet the woman he once knew. The one who was as vibrant as the sky at dawn. That's why it is a divine love. Without expectations. :-)

I am excited to see how you'll take this forward, M. Your narration was very crisp and clear. My comment not so much!😆

An Interesting update.
Parents can support their children when they are facing problems but i believe only a true friend can bring smile on our face at tough times.
With each update I love the friendship of Arnav and Khushi..

Thanks for informing me about the update

This Arnav is different. He finds the time and inclination to enjoy the changing seasons and I for one find that refreshing coz it is rare among men.

While I get that Arnav and Khushi were friends...very good friends and were not romantically involved previously...what surprises me is the ease with which he refers to her as "My Khushi". Why does he do that?

There is always that fine line that differentiates friendship and a relationship that crosses that line. Even Shashi refers to Khushi as "His (Arnav's) Khushi". Isn't that strange? Maybe not...I'll wait for you to tell us more...

thank you for the comment!
I have tried to show Arnavs thought process throughout the story, this Arnav takes time to look at things, but he doesn't necessarily express his findings. Arnav was always an observer of life, and I am trying to play to that part of his personality. As for the rest I hope that makes sense in the final update :)

Does such type of relationships/friendships exist? Such selfless? For so many months he is there with her, ignoring his work - just to get his friend back to what she earlier was. And he is somewhat successful also. Both are lucky to have each other as friends.
Wish people got such unconditional support from family and friends in time of their emotional need.

So beautifully written.

At times you need to go through the worst kind of pain to actually reach where
you are meant to be ...
Later in life when Arnav and Khushi look back they will realise that the universe
had actually planned it all for them ...
They are true soul-mates ...
the love that they will share now will be deeper and more meaningful ...

This is such a beautiful story.
Love their relationship which transcends all norms of society.
What brought the spring in Khushi's step?
What did Arnav say?
Waiting now for the next prt.
