Chapter 10

Few days passed Naina didn't mention about Angad to Kripa once. Aryan was becoming more comfortable around the house now. He and Kripa were having lots of fun. Kripa didn't feel alone any more. She missed her dad but Aryan always filled up the loneliness. Aryan began to learn new things. He was learning how to read and write. Kripa didn't stop going to orphanage. She took Aryan with her when ever she went there, which was every Tuesdays and Thursdays.

She didn't know that Angad was following her around, especially when she went to the orphanage. Angad liked her playing with kids he knew that she wasn't a bad person. She seemed really sweet and nice when she was with these kids she was only rude to him. He was going to figure out why she was doing that.

When ever Kripa went to the orphanage she became a child her self. She missed not having siblings or anyone to play with when she was growing up. These kids were giving her a reason to be a kid again. She loved spending time with them. As time passed by college exams were coming close as well. Kripa was preparing for them very well, but having a kid at home was also an exam.

It was Thursday when Mr. Gupta assigned a group project. Everyone was excited to choose their own partners but their excitement was going to die soon. As usual Naina and Kripa were sitting together. Angad was short of late today and only one seat was left open. He took the seat which was right behind Kripa's. Angad never saw who was sitting next to him. Amar was sitting right next to Angad. He was hitting Naina with very small paper balls. He loved irritating her. He still remembers the slap he got from Kripa but someone he felt like he wanted to get to know Naina a little better. She was the first girl who actually didn't even look at him. He knew that a day was going to when he was going to fall in love but this soon was not even possible. He felt attracted towards but he didn't love her. He wanted to talk to her just once, spend some time with her and get to know her better. Who knows she might end up liking him as well.

Angad looked to his left and saw Amar admiring Naina. Angad cleared his throat and Amar came back to reality. He looked at Angad and smiled.

"Hi I don't think we have met I am Amar. And you are?" Amar asked.

"Hi, and no we haven't met. I am Angad. Nice to meet you." Angad answered shaking Amar's hand.

"So umm friends?" Amar asked to Angad

"friends." Angad answered smiling. At the same time Naina turned around and told them to shut up.

" will you guys please be quite Mr. Gupta is making announcement about our final project and I don't intend on failing the project so please keep quiet." Naina told them in firm voice.

Angad mouth the words sorry and started to pay attention. Mr. Gupta told the class that he was going to assign their partners for the project.

Everyone was almost happy with their partners except four people. Of course the four people were none other then Angad, Kripa, Naina, Amar. Angad was partner of Kripa and Naina was obviously partner of Amar. Angad and Amar were happy to have the girls as their partners but the girls weren't happy at all. Mr. Gupta began writing down the names of the partners and as he was about to write down Angad's name with Kripa she yelled out.

"Mr. Gupta my partner is not Angad its Amar." Kripa told Mr. Gupta. Angad became depressed and Amar lost his smile. Naina looked at Kripa in shock and surprise.

"Are you sure Kripa?" asked Mr. Gupta

"Yes sir, I am sure." Kripa answered

"Because I remember pairing you up with Angad. Oh well if you say so." Mr. Gupta said and wrote down Amar's name in place of Angad's. Naina was happy because now was the chance to make Kripa and Angad come closer and she had a perfect plan. Amar was pissed at Kripa. She ruined his chance of getting to know Naina. The class was over and everyone began to leave. Kripa gathered her things and began to leave she was not even waiting for Naina today.

"Kripa wait yaar!" Naina screamed after Kripa. Kripa turned around and stopped. She saw Angad and Amar leaving the class and was walking right behind Naina. Kripa didn't want to talk to Naina about why she changed her partner. She just wanted to go home. Naina caught up to Kripa and they both began to walk towards the parking lot.

"Kripa its ok I know why you changed the partners." Naina said understanding kripa's feelings.

"Thanks naina. I never have to tell you anything you just understand it all the time don't you." Kripa said to naina.

"That's why I am you best friend." Naina alleged to Kripa

"Hmmm you are right. Ok let's go home." Kripa said grabbing naina's hand and dragging her to her car.

"No wait. We have to plan our project we cant just leave our partners here. We have to atleast talk to them about what we are going to do." Naina said while stopping Kripa.

"No way, there is no way in hell I am going to talk to that stupid, duffer, amar." Kripa said making a fist.
"Kripa don't be insulting. I know what he did to us that day was rude, but now he is your partner and you have to bare with him because he can ruin your project." Naina tried to make Kripa understand.

"Oh alright we will talk to them. Where are those duffers any way?" Kripa asked looking around for the guys.

"Right there by Amar's car." Naina pointed towards east from where they were standing.

Kripa and Naina walked towards them and guys looked at them in surprise. Angad was staring at Kripa and Amar was staring at Naina. The girls just stood there waiting for the guys to come back to reality. When they didn't Kripa screamed and everything was back to normal. Naina tried to hide her smile and began talking to Angad.

"Hi, I don't think we have met properly. I am Naina. I am Kripa's best friend." Naina said offering her hand for a shake to Angad.

"Hi, you already know who I am, and nice to meet you Naina." Angad said shaking hands with Naina.

"We came here to talk to you guys about the project that was assigned today. You do know that its due in three weeks so it would be better if we all start working on it right away. What do you guys think?" Naina asked Angad

"Well I think you are right so we should meet in the library tomorrow I guess, if that's alright with you." Angad said to Naina while looking at Kripa

"Ya that's fine and don't worry Kripa will be there as well. So I guess we will see each other tomorrow then Angad." Naina said turning to Kripa who was standing still.

"Ya see you tomorrow." Angad said putting his hand on Amar's shoulder. Amar smiled weakly at Angad and then looked the other way.

"Shall we go Kripa?" Naina inquired to Kripa

"Ya just a second. You better be in the library by nine Amar. I am not going to fail the project because of you, do you get it?" Kripa informed Amar.

"Ya what ever you say, I'll come there with Angad. Now stop boring me." Amar said to Kripa

Naina dragged Kripa away before anything can happen. Naina screamed bye to the guys. Both the guys watched them leave as love struck puppies. There were so many questions running in Angad mind about why Amar was behaving the way he was. He saw him behaving rudely with Naina and Kripa the first day he came to college, but now he was acting differently.

"Amar I hope you don't mind me asking but why are you behaving differently then you did the other day?" Angad asked Amar. Amar looked at him in surprise, because he never saw Angad while the incident took place.

"Are you going home by your self or should I drop you off home?" Amar asked Angad instead.

"You didn't answer my question Amar. Honesty and trust are the steps that make up friendship that can last forever. I hope you know that." Angad told Amar and began walking away.

"Angad! Come I'll drop you off home." Amar said to Angad. Angad walked back to Amar and smiled. He knew he was about to hear the whole story from Amar.

"Ok, lets go." Angad said. Smiling they both sat in the car and drove towards Angad's home. On the way to Angad's home Amar told him about how he felt about Naina and how he didn't mean to react the way he did on that day.

"I really like her Angad. I mean so what if she is from middle class. She made an impression on my heart the first day I saw her. I saw her on a road she was giving food to the poor. I don't know if it was because of any occasion or because giving was her nature. I still remember it was right before the first year of college was going to start, I was going towards my uncle's house and I saw her. She was wearing yellow salwar kamiz and she looked really beautiful. She was walking down the stairs of temple giving food to all those sitting on the stairs. She was smiling and then I saw her sitting down next to a five or six year old kid and feeding him because he didn't have hands. When I saw her that time I lost my heart and my soul to her. I wondered about people who are still nice to others and don't care about what cast they belong to. She stole my heart that day." Amar sighed

"So if you like her then why did you fight with her the other day?" Angad asked still confused about the whole situation.

"Well, I had a dare to finish. I was supposed to flirt with the girl who came there first and I didn't know she was going to come there. Then the situations got even worst when that idiotic Kripa Sharma came. I don't understand how Naina can be friends with that….that Kripa. She is so rude and arrogant. She has no sense of how to talk to others and she too proud about being rich. Its all her father's money not hers. But still she pretends that she earned it all. I really hate that girl. And now I have to be her partner for three weeks, something I never wanted to do. I don't know how I am going to survive three weeks with her." Amar announced to Angad and Angad did nothing but smile.

oh gosh.. itss sooo sad.. cant believe krips died... oh gosh.. i feel sowwi for angu n amar n naina... n i wish kripa could come back into angus life..

i didnt forget that kripa is dead😆 but the parts that i m posting right now are in flash back. angad is unconcious and he is remembering everything.😉 😊 hope this helps😊

oh sorry i didnt mean that i only wrote it because that part seems so sad and i was saying abt me forgetting abt the kripa being dead part so it dosent seems sad
