For me this line, "Childhood lies in the state of your mind, not in numbers" said it all.

Such a beautiful thought and it carries the essence of this story. Khushi a child, wants to have a child (a doll) and she doesn't even understand what sleeping with her husband means. sad state of affairs indeed. This is the reason why I go on harping about the greatness of those men and women who fought against the system to bring about those much needed changes in society and constitution.

Arnav is noticing other things about Khushi and she is a feisty one, alright. I love that about her. I'm really happy to see Arnav taking her under his wing to show her things and teach her if necessary.

Did you know...I thought Pranab will fall in love with her. after all he does spend a lot of time with her and sees her in all moods unlike Arnav who doesnt see her as regularly...Isn't hat the natural ways of the world. I wonder how much Khushi feels for Pranab. i know this Arnav Khushi world...orelse wouldn't it be the most natural thing for Khushi to fall for Pranab too?

That was a fab update Jen...I loved the descritions of the library and the Khushi swinging and Pranab watching imagery too :)

Oh no, Jen! Why did Pranab have to fall for Khushi?

Now please don't let Arnav give up Khushi for his brother.

The Arnab Khushi moments were so precious.

Loved it when he made her lidten to the beautiful song.

Her fascination for the machine was so endearing.

Waiting for them to fall in love ith each other.

Beautiful update, Jenny. And so very poetic.. the entire atmosphere so idyllic, full of nature and poetry and music and tender feelings.I now respect Arnab even more than before, when he said to himself "Wasn't nature itself supposed to slowly awaken a child's mind and nudge it gently towards adulthood? " and also "He liked this child, he liked this child a lot and he was looking forward to loving the woman, whose glimpses he caught in her from time to time. " He is a kind and noble man, I see that now. That scene between them was so lovely and precious, I am sure it is a memory the both of them will cherish for a lifetime.

What Pranab is feeling is only natural, after all they are growing up together, and spend a lot of their time in each other's company. Wonder how this will impact the blossoming relationship between Arnab and Khushi.

I must commend the subtlety with which you are tracing Khushi's growth and slow maturity into a woman. Gentle and so very sensitive... I myself am falling in love with this young lady 😊

Arnab is so right when he said "Childhood lies in the state of your mind, not in numbers"...where Khushi is still a child in mind,the same aged Pranab is feeling the first sign of growing up...by falling for Khushi...I hope he realized the impossibility of the situation before things go out of hands...there's already so much complexity in developing ArShi relationship,now any more of it will be a disaster...At long last Arnab is thinking her as his bride...letting his guards down...admitting he likes her...deciding to go with the flow of nature...I am getting so hopeful...I wish they could spend time together,know each other better...but in 1920's I guess this is so much to desire...anyways,I loved the improvement in their relation today...waiting for more eagerly...

but bit of complication here
and that would be a triangle of sorts
though i think not
just attraction for pranab
hmmm he handled that well
thank god for that
but then he would have
cant have the repeat of what he did before now can we
there is hope for them yet
unless of course something else happens that ruins things between them like their parents

This little twist will definitely make things very very interesting.

Arnab who wants to wait for his wife to grow up...khushi who just wants her husband to like her...pranab khushi's best friend but who is suddenly seeing khushi in a different light.

A great complex web this is Jenny. 👏 Now what will arnab babu do? Ermmm Given the age pranab is definitely more suitable for khushi.

A great update Jen...and i am dying in anticipation to find out what lies ahead for little Mrs. Arnab babu.

Jenny, this was brilliant...

I don't know where to start and what to say in fear of not doing justice to this chapter, it was perfectly perfect...

Loved how he realises that this child bride of his is such an enigma. Loved his realisation of his feelings for her and beautifully your wrote them ...right from childhood lies in the state of your mind and not in numbers to 'Yes, He liked this child, he liked this child a lot and he was looking forward to loving the woman, whose glimpses he caught in her from time to time.

He was willing to wait for the woman in her to slowly awaken. It was just a matter of time.'

Jenny this had got to be your best writing so far...you have got the nuances, the characters, the feelings and emotions, balancing it with the right degree of reality, the setting everything spot on...

I loved how he is sensitive to her and her feelings, realising his his every word and action has such an impact on her and her happiness had somewhere down the line become important to him too!

I loved how he has noticed so much about her, her way of dissecting every topic till she was satisfied with the responses...I loved the scene in the library, it was so visual and so beautifully written ...Khushi with her innocence, blunt and frank at that age where she says what she feels and what comes to her mind, not weighing her words, making everything she says honest and heartfelt even though she may not understand the implication of what she says, but there are enough for him to realise the kind of person she will be growing up, her ability to to arouse these feeling in him and his eagerness to wait for her says so much about them as people...I for one cannot wait to see what is in store for them...

I loved the Pranab angle ...I thought it might happen, given their proximity, if Aranb can start developing feelings for her despite his initial reluctance then Pranab who has the advantage of age and her constant company could not help harbouring feelings for her too...

I am so looking forward to what is in store...I can sense it's going to be brilliant !

Nice...

I love the pace of the story...

Khushi is adorable and Arnab is slowly falling for khushi... Love to see that he is looking forward to lead a life with his child bride and waiting for her to become a woman... There moments are beautiful...

Kahani mein twist... Pranab too is falling for khushi... But doesn't he know that she is his brother's wife??

Waiting to see what will happen next...
