PART 13

Khushi : Aunty.. for a change.. lets have the function here.. in this house.. What say daadi ?

Arnav was shocked beyond words to hear it from Khushi. She decided on her own and didn't even bother to ask him. He stared at her but she ignored his stare which irked him. The last thing he would want is the whole Raizada family and Shyam with Shalini in his house. He kept calm till Daadi decided upon it.

Daadi: Thats such a wonderful thought Khushi.. Manorama.. We will celeberate Anjali's Godbharai here.. In this house..Daadi expressed her happiness looking at everyone while her eyes stopped on Arnav.

Arnav was so much surprised by Daadi's decision.. He stared at Daadi who definately realised Arnav wasnt happy with it.. But she knew this was the only way to make Arnav attend the function or else he would be missing it.. She smiled at him pleasantly making a request to accept the decision what Khushi had suggested.

Manorama and other family members had to agree with this.. As usual there wont be any suggestions after Daadi finalises. They started planning for GodhBharai. His eyes began to spit fire at his wife while Khushi turned her face away and moved herself to Payal for planning. She made deliberate effot to ignore his gaze which irritated him. Arnav walked to his room not wishing to stay back anymore.. Khushi knew that she has messed up with the lion this time but she couldnt do anything at the moment to change his mood or to convince him.. Keeping that for later, she continued her talks with the other family members.

Arnav - Khushi Bedroom

Arnav clutched her upper arms pulling her close to him and looking in her eyes..

Arnav: How easily you dominate me these days.. You dont even think of consulting me.. Dont you?? Arnav spoke with a gritted teeth much to show his annoyance on this decision..

Khushi: Ouch.. Arnav.. Its hurting.. Khushi pleaded.

He could see how she struggled to get free from him, he loosened his grip but didnt leave her..

Khushi : whats your problem? I just gave Daadi a suggestion. Khushi replied firmly.

Arnav: Just make some damm excuse and change this plan.. Lets not have the Godbharai here.. I cannot tolerate that Shyam in my House.. Is that clear?? He emphazised when he felt she wouldnt get convinced by arguments a firm objection from his side would only do.

Khushi : Sorry I cant .. Its too late.. Preparations have already began.. I dont have a reason to deny.. Please understand Arnav..Khushi said softly.

He grabbed her arm and pulled her over to his chest.

Arnav: Then think one Khushi.. Because it was your mind which came up with this plan.. So decide yourself how to cancel it..

Khushi: How rude Arnav.. She is my sister.. Cant I take a decision for her happiness..?? Is this how you wish to support me and my family?

She tried to show a face with her tears threatening to come out..She didnt cry exactly but for sure her intentions were the same.. All she could do is a bit of sniff which could melt the volcano standing before her grabbing her arm with force. Her face and expressions did have that effect on him. It melted his anger in a jiffy spontaneously. He tried to cool down his anger in a sigh and then cupped her face.. She looked in his eyes with expectation of what would be the outcome of her tears. He thought for a second looking at her eyes and replied.

Arnav : I have other ways to support you and your family Khushi.. Its something I can never stop doing in my entire lifetime.. I dont know how well you have known me yet.. But never ever think I dont care for your family .. They are my family too now.. So if you think celeberating that Godbharai here will give them happiness then fine.. Do it..!! I just hope you dont regret it later.. !!

He left her and then turned back towards his Recliner but she stood their dumbfolded.. REGRET? ?? Why will she regret?? She thought for some more seconds and then finally her Brain did catch the underlying meaning of the phrase.

Khushi: As long as you stay away from the people I dont like, I wont regret for this.. replied back Mrs.ASR in her authoritative tone which earned a devilish smirk from him.

Arnav(Opening his Laptop): When you can let me be with people whom I hate to see, why would I think your preferences then?? I can only try .. Dont expect me to follow it.. He snapped back in finalty not accepting her orders so easily.

Khushi's nose flared in anger and she walked out of the room not willing to get into another argument with him this time..

Godbharai Day

The Raizada's were welcomed whole heartedly by Khushi and Daadi.. Shalini was also present here with her parents and today she was Khushi's guest and not an employee.. The sight of Shalini definately made Khushi look at Arnav who was busy talking to Akash at the other corner..She knew her husband wouldnt do anything to mess with her heart today, he had just teased her the other day not to regret of celeberating this function here.. But she believed Arnav.. He would do nothing to irritate her.. She smiled at her thought and then rushed towards Anjali's room to make sure she was been helped by Lavanya and Payal to get dressed up so that function can be started..

Akash, though was busy talking to Arnav, his eyes did scan the entire room to check where Shalini and Shyam were. It was always like he saw them together here.. The thought of Shyam and Shalini sharing some extra relationship was still haunting his mind.. He had to clear that thought first.. He had to find it out if this was true by any chance and if this was the reason that Anjali was staying with Arnav and Khushi from past so many days.. He pretended to be normal but his mind was still poking him within to know what the truth was..

Almost an hour passed.. The function had already started and Anjali was been blessed by the ladies to have a healthy baby and a prosperous life ahead with her family.. She just smiled at these ladies and at times also blushed hearing their comments.. Her love for Shyam was beyond any questions which he she was providing whole heartedly but yet there were things which she wished to be cleared off before planning to continue her life with him once again..

Payal: Khushi be with Anjali di.. I will greet the guests till then.

Khushi: Yeah Payal.. I am here .. Khushi acknowledged and sat beside Anjali.

Another relative came to Anjali blessed her and then turned to Khushi asking her when will they expect such a Godbharai of her's.. That surely made Khushi blush and the ladies gigled and took their places again.. Khushi turned around to see where Arnav was so that she can tell him how everyone were expecting her to be a mother soon now.

Her face suddenly turned red when she saw Arnav and Akash smiling hearing something from Shalini.. though Arnav wasnt paying much attention to her words.She gestured Payal who was attending the guests to come and sit with Anjali so that she can move towards her husband and check what made him smile so much on that Shalini's words..

Shalini: And you know what happened after that, I almost slipped and ...

Shalini enacted and tried to fall on Arnav again while he wasnt interested to even stop her from falling.. But he didnt wish to let her touch him and hence he held her to make sure she doesnt fall on him purposely..

Now that scene was surely witnessed by Arnav's lovely wife who fumed seeing her husband's hands on Shalini's waist. The moment Arnav moved Shalini aside, he saw Khushi and her red nose .. He smiled teasingly to see her jealous and presumed she would pick up a fight with Shalini for talking to her husband. On the contrary she left his sight with a flared nose..

Arnav: Khushi?? He called her to find what had happened to her suddenly for this anger.

Shalini (Smiling): May be she saw us at the wrong time..!! Shalini instigated him with her sarcasm as her plan getting successful in creating a rift between the couple.

Arnav just stared at her in anger and tried to walk away from Shalini and Akash towards his wife but Shalini held his hand stopping him..

Shalini: Come on Arnav.. Since when did you start running behind your wife like that? Joru ka Gulam haan?? She teased him purposely and he moved her hands off his wrist.

Arnav : I wont mind people calling me as long as Khushi is my Wife.. !! He stated proudly with his devilish smirk.

He didnt wait for Shalinis reation instead followed his wife to his room.

Akash had a wide grin hearing these comments from his Bhai whereas Shalini was burning from inside.. She excused Akash and then started following Arnav..

Arnav : I didnt know this would anger you so much baby..She was just enacting something.. Arnav tried to console her from hugging behind.

Khushi (Shoving his hands off her) : If she was enacting , why did you hold her ? Couldnt you move back? Khushi made him realize her irritation pointing on his fault.

He pulled her from waist turning her to face him not leaving his hands.

Arnav: Damn!! Okay.. Fine..!!I am sorry...He made a face asking an apology.

Khushi: Leave me.. Atleast not till I am confirmed you wont tease me again with her presence..

Shalini who was hiding beside the door of this room smiled in happiness.. So finally she could see how much jealous Khushi was seeing her with Arnav.. Wow..!! Khushi was actually making things easy for her.. If things remain the same, then in no time she could be getting Arnav's attention on all her again. SHe chuckled at the thought but least did she knew that Arnav Singh Raizada already had seen her watching them from that door.. The moment Shalini peeped again, Arnav forcefully pulled his wife towards him , making her soft skin rub on his Hard Chest and definately earning a Moan from her lips..

Khushi: Arrrnav.. People will see us like this .. Khushi pushed him to come out of his grip.

Arnav: So?? You think I care?? I am romancing my wife and I dont think anyone has a right to stop me.. This is my house, my wife, my room.. I can do anything I wish.. He declared proudly with a smirk rising the colour on Khushis cheeks.

Khushi: Mind your intentions Arnav... The Function is still On down.. She tried to deviate him with a blush but still liking this side of him.

He took her hand bringing near his lips kissed her wrists gently. If tear could make him melt his kisses could drug him she thought.

Arnav: I know.. Lets spend time here so that we can invite the same people to come back for this same function after 8 months then..Arnav stated with the clear possibility.

She blushed hard but was trying her best to control herself.. Shalini fumed more seeing this passionate side of the couple.. In seconds, the distances between Arnav and Khushi lessened and he claimed her lips like never before only to show that Shalini , how much he was in Love with his wife and no matter what comes up in between them, he will always have a hold on this relationship of theirs..

Akash stood near by Shyam watching the elders who were indulged in discussion about the business. In one way Shyam was trying to talk to Shalini while Akash caged him near by pretending to talk about some random things. Suddenly his mobile started ringing diverting from his unusual talks making Shyam escape from Akash.

Akash : Hey NK.. So glad that you called on time today. How are you? Hows the weather? Akash started to share pleasantries with his brother.

NK : Woah.. dont ask me Akash.. Freezing cold.. I wonder how bhai used to love this climate!

Akash : ah.. dont you know he has the unique choices. Akash laughed and looked beside him to spot Shyam.. He realised Shyam was missing and went back to search him while talking to NK over the phone..

NK : Akash.. hows the function going on ?

Akash : Fine NK.. Too many guests around us. Good that Daadi decided to conduct here.. otherwise Bhai wouldnt have atteneded. Akash said casually while searching for SHyam.

He spot Shyam beside Anjali talking to her sweetly. He heaved a sigh of relief.

Akash had confided to NK about his doubts on Shyam. Though NK had been very supportive of Shyam from beginning later on he also couldnt just ignore the doubts of Akash lazily.

Akash : I will pass the phone to Shyam Bhaiyaa. You talk to him.. As I told you I have still some doubts.. I guess I should check with Bhai on this NK.. Meanwhile you talk to him and try to get some information. Akash said as he got a chance to hook Shyam.

Shyam got the phone from Akash and started to talk to NK. Payal came in between and took Akash for her help.Meanwhile Shyam moved away from Anjali talking to NK. As soon as he saw Lavanya he tried to escape from the talk by passing over the phone to Lavanya without telling her who it was. Lavanya was shocked that Shyam had passed the phone suddenly. She attended the call to know who it was.

NK : Akash are you listening?

Lavanya got surprised hearing NKs voice. She felt highly excited hearing him after a long time.. Her tears refused to stop flowing out of her eyes..

Lavanya : Its Lavanya NK.. How are you? Lavanya spoke softly.

NK was astonished as to when Shyam had passed phone to Lavanya.. He hadnt felt guilty of not calling Lavanya even once after he shifted to London though the pain of getting separated from her was deep within him which he refused to take out. He just sighed in disappointment of getting this awkwardness between them. Still believeing her to be adamant in her stand, he didnt take much time to hang up the call.

Lavanya got to hear the beep sound making her realize that he hung up as soon as he heard her voice. She didnt know what was the biggest sin she had commited against him. There was a time when both of them were madly in love with each other. Now even that proves to be an infactuation kind of feeling to her. She wiped her uncontrollable tears hiding it from the public. Just by the thought of NK again the tears bursted from her eyes making its way to an unstoppable sob. She rushed to get into Khushis room when she bumped into someone.

Arnav : Lavanya.. be careful.. where are you running like this? Arnav spoke with a concerned tone while he made her stand straight. Thats when the red teary eyes made visible to Arnav. He got appalled to see Lavanya crying badly. She continued her sobs even after Arnav saw her.

Arnav : Lavanya.. why are you crying.. What happened? Wait.. Just come here.. His voice became coarse with less words with her terrible state. He took her to his room and made her sit in his couch.He gave her a glass of water and asked her to calm down.

Arnav : Now.. tell me whats wrong? Anything ermm.. related to NK and You? Arnav hesitated a bit before asking her the question as he wasnt sure how she would take it..

Lavanya looked at Arnav with a shock in her eyes on how did he know about it. Her helpless and confusing look made Arnav confirm about the reason. He sat beside her placing the glass on the table. She turned to face him to talk more clearly.

Lavanya : Jiju now I think you have an idea of how my relationship with NK works Its just unfortunate that we both ended up in marriage.. We could have thought before rushing this relationship. Lavanya replied wryly.

Arnav shook his head in disagreement. He knew things have gone worse to worser but his idea of separation hasnt seen anything productive he thought. First he had to convince Lavanya now then think of the later steps.

Arnav : Ok.. cool down Lavanya.. Never regret decisions that are taken from heart.. You loved him from heart he too did.Now with some silly ego issues both of you cant just shove away that love calling it a blunder.. Never do that in haste.. Give some time for NK.. He will surely understand.. for the time being just take this as a positive stride and concentrate on family and career.. You should also make steps to improve this relationship. Right now its time you concentrate on your work.. I promise to speak about this to NK.. Dont worry I will be there to support you and him equally. Arnav assured with clarifying her muddled mind.

Lavanya smiled in regaining her confidence with his words. She could feel within herself that how her sister Khushi proved to lucky to get such an understanding husband like Arnav. Initially they all had the biggest suspicion on Arnav on how rude he would behave with Khushi and now she had to correct herself for mistaking her jijaji.

Arnav : Make sure that you would contact me if you have any sort of problems.. Think of me as your brother than a jijaji.. Is that fine with you ? He held her hands with a promise a brother can give to a sister. It surely brought back the confident smile in Lavanya..

After the function the whole family gathers in the hall. Daadi goes near by Anjali to wish her and presents her a small Krishna idol which makes Anjali overwhelmed. Her smile lifts up the mood in everyone as they had been worried about her gloomy state from the morning. Madhumati thought that the reason would be because of tiredness. After that the couple got blessings from Daadi and other elders.

The other couples Arnav and Khushi with Payal Akash and Lavanya also took the blessings from everyone. Daadi blessed them whole heartedly..

Daadi : Next our Khushi and Payal has a competition on who gives me the news first. Daadi teased the two girls who were getting their blessings with their husbands.

Payal got a tug in her heart when she heard about the comment. She looked at Akash with a worried face while Akash assured her by clutching her hand.

Manorma gave an weird stare at her which made Payal worried more. She was getting into the bad books of Manorma and if she gets to know about her condition then she would be totally hated by her she thought. She moved near Akash pretending to smile at everyone.

Akash : Payal.. cheer up.. dont worry.. its not good to take up tensions now.. Believe in God.. We have Gods and our elders blessings which would help us.

Payal nodded in understanding after the positive words of Akash.. he was true.. No one can overpower Gods decision. She prayed to Devimayya for a good result soon.

On the other hand Khushi was blushing profusely after the comment. Arnav stood beside her and leaned on to her ears secretly.

Arnav: Didnt you hear what daadi said? So I was right earlier! I dont mind if we go out for one honeymoon again for our mission ? Arnav whispered in her ear while his breath fanned her neck sending shiver into her spines. He had the adverse effect on her while he stood behind and talked in her ears. Khushi could feel the heat emanating near her especially in her cheek which rose to a red colour soon with higher intensity.

Arnav loved this reaction of hers as it was rare to find his tigress surrendering to his words. She fought back her blush hard and turned to face him with more courage. The moment was so encouraging that Arnav gave his signature wink and a lopside smile which dampened Khushis courage in one moment.. She lost her control on her knees and turned her face away to hide her developing blush again. He didnt take much time in catching hold of her from the waist and teasing her in her ears though he made sure the elders were involved in their own world of chatting. The scene was watched by three people inspite of all these. Shyam and Shalini who were irritated to the core watching the lovey dovey scene. Shalini stamped her foot in jealousy left the hall not able to watch this anymore. Anjali watched this scene specially to see her sisters reaction. She could understand how much her sister has fallen for Arnav.

Guptas got ready to leave. Madhumati had planned to take Anjali with them as per their tradition. Anjali was feeling low . The family members teased her for having the pang of separation from Shyam. Shyam pretended to be all lovey dovey with her hugging her and showing his affection. Anjali faked a smile and didnt respond to him much.. She watched Khushi packing her stuff while Arnav helped her in loading them inside Madhumatis car.

Anjali : Mumma.. Shall I stay back here for few more days with Khushi? Anjali pleaded to Madhumati which shocked everyone.

Daadi : No Anjali.. its the tradition that after godhbharai a girl should go to her mayka for delivery.. Im not denying you but its the tradition you have to follow.. Daadi replied sternly making the point clear.

Madhumati couldnt understand this convo of Anjali and Daadi. She intervened giving her genuine reply..

Madhumati : Bitiya.. why do you want to stay here? You can stay in our house or Raizada mansion with Shyam babua..

Anjali : Mumma please .. I want to stay with Khushi I said.. Anjalis tone turned out to be more firm.

Khushi and Arnav looked at each other in shock. Khushi could understand her dis worry and she replied to everyone.

Khushi : Mumma.. dont worry.. di is missing me so much.. .. She turned to Anjali and held her shoulders smiling.

Khushi : Di.. I will make sure that I visit you daily at home. After some days I will move over there till you deliver so that I can be with you all the time. Khushi turned back to Arnav seeking his permission. He smiled and nodded .. whatever she wishes she can do was his take.

Anjali noticed that permission.. She never thought Arnav would agree but looking at this side of Arnav Anjali was getting confused more. She bid farewell to Daadi Khushi and Arnav left the house with the families.
