Really like the way this story is taking off. From the mysterious prologue that very cleverly avoided any kind of time reference so that we would be left guessing as to whether it was the past, present or the future, to this very charming yet poignant first chapter all about budding friendship, grief and finding your feet in a strange new place. Loved the way you portrayed the characters of both Anya and Khushi. Khushi with her big doe eyes and her thin frame..is being referred to as angel by Anya...Is it only me or will this fact carry a special significance in the coming chapters.

Loved your writing and the brilliant way you recreated the atmosphere of a jampacked dining room at a boarding school.

Can't wait for Arnav to make his entry...!I am guessing that he is going to be Anya's big brother...

Sandy wonderful chapter indeed! It was great to read about 10 year old Anya and Khushi and I look forward to them as the three musketeers! Sounds like their friendship will be strong and can't wait to see how the story goes foreword.

The chapter was very vivid and well written, loved all the sounds and emotions that you put in! Very realistic setting and loved your description of Khushi! The whole food line conversation was quite believable and well written!

Curious about your Anjali in this story as well and I surely have many more questions, which I can't wait for you to start unfolding them in your story 😊

Great job Sandy and eagerly awaiting next chapter!

First day of school... dont we all dread it !

How lucky is Anya to have met Khushi ...and she has already taken Anya under her wings and i am sure this will be an ever lasting bond of friendship.

So Anya is getting the drill of the do's and dont's from her guiding angel !😆

Talking of Boyfriends as if having one itself is a huge achievement which truly was the case in those adolescent years. Aaah...kahan gaye woh din !😕

And then we have Payal join this duo and voila the three musketeers have arrived !😳

Poor Anya all of ten and struggling along to get settled in hostel life. Poor thing must have been so apprehensive and scared and added to that her emotional trauma of having lost her mother 6 mths back.

And then suddenly like a miracle Khushi enters her life and saves the poor darling. No wonder khushi was like a guardian angel to this lost confused sad little girl.

I am hoping that its a start of a wonderful friendship between the three musketeers.

Great description sandy and the narrative very vivid, hostel life described to the T. I am assuming the very many years spent came to your rescue.

I am hooked sandy and i want more...once a week might not suffice. Loved it. 🤗

So sorry about the late update. Just haven't had a chance to be on IF much due to Internet issues.

Coming to the chapter, I just loved your description of the hostel life that Anya as placed into. It makes you want to reach out to her & just protect her. After all she's only 10!

I'm so intrigued by how this story will unfold. Is Anya Arnav's little sister?

Anya & Khushi meeting put a smile on my face, Anya's very own guardian angel!

I love that you have shown Khushi, Anya & Payal becoming friends. Sometimes the friends we make in childhood are the strongest relationships of our lives.

Looking forward to part 2, which I just realized that you updated. 😆

It's interesting... Who is Anya Singh Raizada ... Arnav's sister.. Considering Khushi and PayAl are 10 years old..living in a convent or orphanage..

Ah my dawn was rather beautiful today. :) so we've met the three protagonists? Or is it just one?

Being 10 and new in a place where everyone looks like they can eat you alive or that they've never seen scum like you. Yep no wonder Anya calls her Angel. Friends are that most times aren't they.

Now waiting to see how the three musketeers grow up to be. Very vivid chapter, Sandhya. Written very very well! It's going to be a long wait to Aug 14!
