PART 11- AASHIYAAN(OUR PARADISE)

Khushi finally let herself close her eyes as she watched Aashi finally slept after being restless for the half of the night.She was growing up and so changes were natural,she now roamed while sleeping,which was giving her and Arnav sleepless nights.Very soon seeing her progress the doctor has told she will start crawling too.Everyone in family kept an eye on her if they were any less before Khushi mused to herself as her gaze settled on Aashi and her fast asleep father who has kept a firm hold on her even unconsciously.She raised herself a bit and brushed off hairs from his forehead which always made way while he was sleeping.

The past few days has been extremely tiring for him as the new collection which he has launched for the pregnant women and kids has taken over the market like a storm which meant more work in office as it required personal supervision.But home always came first as he still managed the best he could by staying at home.As another yawn escaped her,she closed her eyes ,what was sleep as her eyes looked at the two sleeping figures with all the love and adoration.Content her eyes finally gave way to sleep.

Khushi woke up from a sound sleep when a loud thud' reached her ears.She quickly made a glance at Aashi who was still sleeping and her eyes found the source of noise.Arnav sat on the ground still trying to grasp that he has fallen from the bed.As Khushi took in his expressions ,she broke into heavy laughter as Arnav looked at her amused.Keeping a pillow besides Aashi Khushi walked over to him and taking his hand pulled him to his feet again erupting into giggles.She was finding falling from the bed funny.

"Khushi tum hasi rahi ho aur hasna hi hai toh dheere haso,you will wake Aashi".(Khushi,you are laughing atleast do it softly,you will wake Aashi up).Arnav reprimanded.

"Arnavji normal logoin ko yeh dekhke hasi hi aayegi".(Arnavji,normal people will laugh in such a situation).Khushi spoke as a matter of fact.

"What the,tum yeh kehna chah rahi ho ki main abnormal hoon".(What the,you are trying to saying I am abnormal).Arnav asked her amused.

"Nahi toh"(No)she feigned innocently and then asked again "Aap neeche gir kaise gaye?"(How did you fell down?).

"Gir kaisa gaya,Aashi itna ghum rahi thi aur uski position thik kartey kartey,I fell off".(Fell off,Aashi,she was roaming all around and straightening her I ended up falling).Arnav explained.

"Aap gir gaye,bechare""(You fell down.Poor--).But before she could complete Arnav reminded her.

"Khushi you are not calling me Chotey are you,remember the deal".

"Are nahi hum to"(No,actually)Khushi tried to say something as in situation where he looked so cute she couldn't help but call him Chotey.But Arnav didn't seemed her last words,as his gaze settled on Aashi,looking at her the love,care,adulation,adoration clearly visible on his face,he spoke so slowly that had Khushi not been standing close to him she wouldn't have even heard.

"Soti bilkul tumhari tarah hi hai,taekwondo pose mein".(She sleeps exactly like you in taekwondo pose).He said smiling to himself as Khushi looked on fondly and then hugging him sideways,she agreed said.

"Soti chahe hamari tarah hai,par gussa to bilkul aap par gaya hai,bilkul aapki tarah naak fulati hai, iski manpasand doll Nanheji se toot gayi to dekha nahi tha aapne".(She may sleep like me but anger is on you,her nose turns exactly like you,remember when Nanheji broke her doll,how she reacted).Khushi answered sounding very convinced with herself for stating her point.

"Khushi galti Nk kit hi,use Aashi ki doll se experiment karne ki zaroraat hi kya thi and chalo lets sleep I am very tired".(Khushi,it was Nk's mistake,what was the need of him experimenting with Aashi's sleep ,comeon now lets sleep I am very tired).Said the protective father not giving her a chance to argue his point.

Embracing her in a tighthug and kissing her forehead lightly,they finally took their places besides Aashi the proud parents slept peacefully.

It was a lazy Sunday morning but RM was in whirlwind,as everyone was busy in making the preprations for the picnic they all were going on.It had been an impromptu idea by none other than Mrs Raizada to spend a fun filled day at their farmhouse.Everyone has agreed happily and ASR clearly hadn't a say when his wife wished for something.

He was brushing off his hair as Khushi came in with Aashi to make her ready.She was about to start when Arnav stopped her saying "Khushi tum ja kar arrangements dekhlo,Ill make Aashi ready."(Khushi,you go and check the arrangements,Ill make Aashi ready).

She wasn't surprised at all,in all these six months that has gone by like seconds,Arnav has been with her at every step, she didn't knew about others but she was blessed to have him as her husband.She mouthed a big thank you to her Devi Maiyya and then sprinted out of the room.Arnav dressed Aashi hup in a beautiful yellow color summer dress,from the entire collection he has designed the first of everything has been reserved for his daughter and seeing her smiling wearing them,he didn't gived a thought about the profits it made.His daughter liked them and he didn't want anything else,finally satisfied with himself as he clipped her hairs,he made his way downstairs.

Soon the entire family,including Shashiji,Garima and Buaji sat in the plush gardens of the farmhouse enjoying a heavy brunch while conversations flowed in smoothly.They played fun game while Naniji reminisced the happy times while Arnav and anjali were young.The talks flowed in but Khushi seeing Arnav's stiff form excused themselves for a walk.

Holding hands they walked silently for minutes finally settling under a tree,the weather was fairly present not too hot like the usual days,Arnav laid his head on her lap as Khushi stroked them lovingly.They sat in the close vicinity from where they could clearly see everyone and from the takes of it Buaji was again teasing Nk over something while Nk fumbled with every word he spoke.Aashi sat comfortably in Naniji's lap eyeing everyones faces time to time.

As she saw him relaxing,Khushi asked him."Arnavji,aap thik hai?".(Arnavji,ar you fine?).

He knew this question was upto comeup,of all what was known there was nothing hidden in them,Khushi knew his darkest of fears and secrets,some which have voiced and some which he hasn't like the same way he knew hers.He brought her hand to his lips which was stroking his hair and then holding it near his heart,he told her.

"I know Khushi,tum kya soch rahi ho,par ab sab badal gaya hai,jab main akela tha,tabsirf buri baatein hi yaad aati thi,par jabse tum meri zindagi mein aayi,main who sab bhoolne laga,tumhare saath jo waqt bitaya who yaad rehne laga,aur aaj"" .(I know Khushi ,what are you thinking,but everything has changed now,when I was alone,at that time I only used to get the flashes of the bad memories,but since you entered,I started forgetting them,the moments I spent with you they used to be on my mind and today--).He stopped to take a deep breath and then continued.

"Aur jabse Aashi hamari zindagi mein aayi hai,uska smiling face,uski shararatein,uski eyes jo bilkul tumhari tarah har emotion express karti hai,in saare months mein usne apni presence se us sab ko heal kar diya hai,I dream about us,about her growing up,humein kitna kuch karna hai Khushi ,jo sab tumne aur maine nahi dekha ,nahi kiya ,tum aur main who sab Aashi ke saath dobara karengey,apna bachpan dobara jeeyenge,tum dono ho isliye toh aaj jab Nani purani baatein bata rahi thi,I can remember them with smile without any haunting dark memories ,the happy ones with Mama and Di.(And since the time Aashi has entered our life,her smiling face,her naughtiness,her eyes that eactly like you express every emotion,all these months with her presence.she has healed it.I dream about us,her growing up,we have to do so many things Khushi,what all you and neither me did,we will live our childhood again with Aashi,and that is why today when Nani talk about all the old memories even I can remember them with smile,without any haunting dark memories,the happy ones with Mama and Di).Arnav finished contentedly.

His eyes met hers,tears finally slipped from her eyes which felt into his cheeks,he quickly got up and gathered her in his arms,Hasn't she been experiencing the same emotion as hers which he has worded and spoken now.They are soulamtes to the truest of the sense.Seeing the caring,loving and protective Arnav as father to Aashi,the way he has taken care of every single thing that in the future no one would ever raise a finger on her,he has wiped away her fear as Arnav provided her and Aashi with the security she has longed in her life.

Khushi could have stayed in his arms forever but her eyes caught a vision and she led out a loud shriek of "Arnavji".Arnav clearly didn't pay heed and just "Shh" her for disturbing such a peaceful moment.She exactly knew what to do as she spoke a bit too loudly "Arnavji Aashi".

That caught his attention in a second as he relaxed his hold on her and opened his eyes.Getting up his gaze followed hers as their eyes turned wide and their mouths fell open.Everyone watched out astonished as they watched Aashi moving out of Naniji's lap and started crawling slowly.She with her tiny tiny moves made her way towards her parents on her own accord who by now has come where all were sitting.The heart of a child who can recognise her parents anywhere,it was hearts that bonded them and that was the same with Aashi as she stopped and looked up at them.

Arnav bent down and gathered her up in his arms as they kissed her with all the love while happy tears outshone.They hugged her close while everyone surrounded them.Nk loaded his camera again to capture it,while Arnav finally put her down to the carpeted rug now as everyone sat with their eyes on waiting eagerly for her to repeat the action.

Aashi took her own sweet time but when she finally did crawled again,a wide grin appeared on their faces,Nk started recording and as Khushi watched on ,she sang on happily,

They saw Khushi singing and as true the lyrics of the song were,everyone joined in while Arnav sang the next lines who himself joined Aashi on the ground replaying her actions.

Arnav picked her up as Khushi joined while he swung her up in air making her laugh aloud and Khushi moved in sync passing everyone reaching besides him making gestures while she sang the next lines.

Eyeing the open sky above as she actioned how true these words were.The open sky,winds flowing around,and the laughter surrounding them.

"Na Ho Chaar Deewarein,

Arnav pulled her close with his other arm as they both looked at the little wonder while everyone formed a round circle around them and sang in chorus.
