CHAPTER-2
She took big gulp of water..causing some to flow down her mouth towards her neckline and seep into her sports top... The water left a shining trail of line behind leaving droplets sticking to her tanned skin...
"Ohh.. how hard it is..." Rey murmured under his breath while doing some stretches which kriya has shown him a while ago... He was told to open his both feet wider..as wider as he could and then touch the floor with his both palms downwards in the center...
Kriya heard him say that and thought its for making him do those postures...
with this a mischevious smile spread across his face and he removed an air tight box from his bag and proceeded to kriya...

He stood just beside her as she was still drowned in her CD's collection..and cleared his throat to mark his presence..."Ahem...ahem.."
"Now what??"kriya turned to him and frowned...
he forwarded his hand and said in one breathe..."I...I brought this for you.."
kriya grabbed that box in a mili-second as she very well knew from that aroma what it was in it...she opened the lid and taking out the spoon full of contents in box a wide grin spread across her face from ear to ear.
she slowly opened her mouth...looking at rey sheepishly and he nodded at her childish behavior to carry on...
Kriya took a bite and started savoring it "Umm...Belgium chocolate cake...that too by you...wow.." she started making those little sounds..it was more like moaning...he was not expecting it,so it made him shocked beyond his wits...reyhe swallowed hard seeing her like that...his jaw dropped down in amazement almost mapping the floor, before she could see what effect she was doing to him..he recovered back and coughed a bit making her open her eyes "its like a treat..thank you rey...you know whenever rahul used to pacify me or wanted me to do something for him..he always brought this from your cafe..he knew i will agree to whatever he says..." and with this she took another big bite of cake and licked chocolate on her lips with her tongue tip creating some sensuousness in surrounding..
he looked down and then hissed slowly.."i know that's why i brought it for..because i..."
at that instance kriya wake up from her land of cherishing sweet delight..." i what Singhania??out with it NOW.." she demanded while handling him the empty box...
Rey fumbled first then he said in one breath "I...I..I was saying...can we rehearse somewhere else. "
"Else??" she knitted her brows...
he gave an affirming nod and explained " see this your workplace and downstairs is mine... you Know what I mean?? May be i am thinking to much... but It can jeopardize,considering our quarrels earlier." he tried to keep his point in best way he could.
"Uh-Hu.." she processed it for some time and then answered.."Okay fair enough, Lets do one thing... we practice this at my home since i have a inbuilt rehearsal hall too it will be comfy" pausing for few seconds and taking in rey's expression " and that's final..No changes"
"Okay..cool besides you live just two lanes down from my home." he agreed to her for the first time without making any more arguments.
"Now will you take back your position" she sternly mouthed...
Rey pouted at this "Its 8 already;time for opening up cafe...please can we continue this tomorrow."
"Fine..drama queen go and bake your cakes... but be at my door sharp at 6 tomorrow morning..." kriya commanded him like a teacher...
"Yes ma'm.." he saluted his goodbye and rushed out from her academy making kriya laugh at his antiques "he is insane... but an excellent chef Umm... chocolate is still in my mouth"

"you know...Mrs. Holt said Tom's dad thrusts himself into his mothers..." before Rey's ten year old could say further rey interrupted her.
"Okay...did actually Mrs. Holt used that word??" he asked being little embarrassed "Yeah.." She said coolly without even getting her dad's horrified situation...
"Oh..." rey pressed to his temples..on getting this sudden headache... as this very morning his little kiddo jumped at him and broke a disastrous news that they had a s** education class yesterday. since then his little one was rambling and clamoring all about her session, how her house teacher got into very details of intercourse with describing every gentile parts.
"But..I don't get this dad How baby was an accident...How did accidentally his dad thrusts into..." she rambled on about the story which was recited to them as a part of lesson and also was in book which has been provided to kids...
"Here...Now enough of it Nia we are in public... so stop saying..those words..okay..just say something cute or symbolic its not so good, are you getting what i mean" rey looked for kriya's house number before reaching out for door bell and he pressed it..but his attention caught by Nia's next words.
"was I to an accident.?? " she asked innocently.
Rey made a 'Oh no why me' face and then crouched towards her reaching to her height. he cupped her chubby cheeks and said "oh..no princess i was very well aware of what I am getting into you were for propose." he pecked her forehead and turned his gaze to door when he felt someone standing above them and looking at father daughter duo.
"Ohh...so we have company today" kriya smiled merrily on seeing Nia with rey...Nia hugged kriya "Hii...kri.. You look good."
"Aww...thanks angel so sweet of you" kriya pecked her cheeks lovingly... at this rey smiled.
letting them both in kriya cleared her doubts." Looks like you two were in deep conversation.." to this Nia wake her inquisitive self again " Kri... how did a baby born accidentally If male thrusts himself into..." Rey immediately covered her mouth and murmured.
"sorry for bringing her...actually its her off day and she was so bent upon to see us rehearsing so she wrapped around me till here...and about that...they had a s** education class yesterday.. its after effect.." rey justified...
"Ain't they kind of young... I mean she is 10 only" kriya recovered from shock after grasping the situation "yeah..and they had a book too.." which Nia proudly waved in her hands.
"its a disaster... okay.. you remove your hands from her." kriya stated as matter of fact. "Ohh..yeah"
again Nia the rapid fire started "Was..I to an accident..why mom and dad divorced, if they loved each other and brought me in for purpose..." Nia sniffed a bit...rey knew she had a bitter effect of this divorce and this special class have opened those wounds.
kriya bend to her and by looking into her eyes she wiped off those tears...
"I fell in love with her..because she was smart..beautiful and fun to be with"rey tried to explain nia.
"and now..what..she is ugly, idiot and boring to be with"Nia snapped back...
rey opened his mouth to say right words but kriya filled in for him "Ohh..No dear...its not that"
"then what is the problem kri...they never tells me anything..." tiny tear strains covered Nia's cherubic face "Its complicated Nia..."rey spoke up sighing heavily.
"everything with you is complicated..dad...why not just say you as whole package is complicated."
"Urrgghh.." rey was now out of his head to even provide some suitable reasoning.
"Okay...truce now both of you... Nia dear your dad mom didn't have you as an accident you are theirs creation, a very beautiful one"Kriya caressed her hairs and continued " its just that they wanted different things from life... see when you want a candy from shop In north of our town and your friend desires for her new pink dress down from south shops will it be possible for you both to be together?" to this Nia moved her little head in no.
"that's it..your dad wanted things differently and mom wanted other things... so they had move away,otherwise it would have bring up more fights in them and you wont be wanting that...right??" Nia meekly said "Yes" and cuddled herself in rey's embrace.He patted her back and told sweet nothings to her.
"I am sorry dad..." rey passed a gratifying smile to kriya and said "Its okay princess..enough of this now, you sit here we are gonna be practicing for competition..okay"
Nia chuckled at him "very okay dad... plus i will be reading this" she indicated to that book which was given to them before day...
"Ohh..No..not again" he banged his hand on forehead getting tired of this stupid stunt which his little one was pulling up since morning but Kriya came as savior"Hey Nia, i have this amazing collection of Enid blyton;you wana see that?"
"Does It have Noddy too" Nia cutely asked.
"Ummm..Special editions of Noddy." to this Nia chirped loudly and followed kriya to her study and rey stood there smiling over the bond which Nia and kriya shared, it was really gets hard for rey some time to manage his over voluble and brainy,geeky, bookworm Kiddo... and here kriya took all in her hands bravely letting out deep exhale he plopped himself on couch.

She came out after settling Nia to nearby couch with loads of books which she was happy feasting upon.
"So..shall we start now." Kriya gestured rey to get his lazy self charged up.He got up making faces"Fine.. Umm...thankyou for."
"For what Rey...those books were like a staple diet for me, years ago...so come on, don't Thank me."
"No...not for that (to this she arched her brows in question) For..for making things simple by answering Nia's queries,at times it gets terrible for me,especially after our divorce 9 months ago.Myra haven't even seen her,earlier although two years ago she expressed her desire to move out of marriage, but she was at least little bit aware for Nia..but..now..."
"hey... Don't be like this.. you shouldn't be like this, just watch her (she pointed at Nia) she needs you rey, more then anyone and that anyone is Myra too... You are doing a great job in bringing up her... Its just her growing years she will be like this rebellious and questioning, don't hide from her, Just explain calmly,remember how we use to be as kids???"
To this he passed a crooked laugh "Yes...a lot like crazy bunch of baboons.." they chortled with amusement while recalling their high school years.
"come lets start with it now..."

"Are we really gonna perform on that number??" Rey asked her skeptically...
"Yes...cake boy"kriya rolled her eyes. "What is now with that song??"
"No nothing much,first of all its Bollywood song then its romantic and third and most important piece apparently i am a BAD dancer." rey practically yelled last bit.
"Ohh..come on dont be such a Nasty..Trust me it will be fine."
"Okay If you say so, but Hindi duet at Manhattan dance competition...Don't you think?" she shushed him by keeping fingers on his petal lips...
"Shh...just flow me it will be great...do as i say"
and like a kid he just nodded his head.."yes Ma'am."

"Just..Little bit lose at your torso region, and firm at shoulders." she purred into his ears while placing her one hand at his lower waist and another at his shoulder.
Rey closed his eyes with the sudden feeling of enlightenment..Inhaling her fruity scent when she crossed him,it made him go back in reverie of his high school prom night.The evening which he can't forget even after years.He felt the same touch,the same adrenaline rush through his body which he felt that night.
"But..rey that was not her..that night..." he spatted his head and corrected himself.
While they were practicing with some couple moves,rey's hand were going numb and she was becoming bit conscious of herself...his gaze were not held with her orbs...it was like they were getting out of track...and as the music beats stopped they came to a halt in front of Nia who have by now had gorged upon whole edition of Noddy and was now watching routine set up till now.
"So..How was it??Kiddoo."rey asked her while getting as much as he could distanced from kriya,so that she couldn't hear his heart beats which were banging against his chest like a hammer.If anybody would be in a radius of even two meters they would easily listen to his up and down thumping pulses.
Kriya to looked awkward with sudden proximity in there steps...though she knew they did in most awful manner owing to the stress level between them, she was getting high shots of drowsiness right now... if anymore she will be literally down with seizure.
"It was... It was...Ummm..." both kriya and rey looked at her hoping to hear something good.
"It was most awful performance i have ever seen and not even 0.00% chemistry was there in between you."Nia was really getting irritated with their uncomfortableness.
"I mean how...You both have know each other since years...all though on wrong foot but today it seemed as if you both are strangers from opposite poles..south and north." both kriya and rey dejectedly sat on couch tired after grueling rehearsals.
"Hey don't relax... You both have to slog upon this,lets see...Umm hmm.. Lets do this you both tell me things which you know about each other..." Nia ordered them as if she was their subject teacher and they are the lowest scorers in class.
"Ohh...No Nia not now i am really tired,can't we have this gaming sessions for later hours " A very tired and soaking sweat rey objected for this.
"no ways...just open up." she scrunched her nose.
"But..." kriya tried to stop her but one glare from nia made her shut her mouth.
"Good... now tell me what you both know about each other."
"Ohkay...lets get over with this.. firstly she was kriya ghai now kriya malhotra,a dancer and was a student of Arts wing... is kinda good but sometimes a nonsense creature pheww done." rey got it in one line to this kriya had her mouth opened in 'O'
"okay kri..now your turn." Nia hopelessly turned to her.
"He is the great male chauvinist pig Reyaansh singhania who didn't knew where to shove his head for career..opted for commerce wing got through it with good grades and instead of handling your grandpa's estates he his running cafe. Although i don't mind that as long as i am getting good pastries and sweets daily." She said folding her hands across and giving an evil smirk to rey.
"Ohh...goshhh.. you both are worse..that's it??You don't know much over then basics about each other and here i thought you both have been loosely or closely in same group..may be at least you would be knowing more...But Nahhh... how come then you both gonna dance together." she slapped her head and sat across them dipping her head down thinking.
Kriya and rey watched her and then each other in to and fro and then after what seems eternity Nia spoke up "Kri...what are you doing tomorrow evening? and even if you are doing something cancle it, because you are gonna be at our house for dinner...just for you two."
"And why so young lady?Where are you moving around??" Rey questioned her
"Daddy I have a project which i will be doing with Karan at Uncle Swayam's home."
"And whom do you think will be there at my cafe...remember its going to be Sunday evening so double rush."
"Uff...heaven sake for once forget about cafe,Okay i will ask Aunt sharon to show up at your counter and will myself go there F.I.N.E now...No more discussions."
"But Nia I do..." Kriya opened her mouth.
"No..Kri. A no for No, Its for your dance so please do it...for me please come." she made her cute baby face which kriya couldn't deny "Ohkay sweetheart only for you." she pecked her.
"YAYYY!! be there at 7 pm and yes what would you like to have in dinner...Dad will cook fr you and i am gonna supervise him." Nia with her exited tone bounced up and down on getting kriya's confirmation.
"Who said i am gonna do that?" an agitated rey spoke up.
"Ohh forget him..he is useless you just tell what do you like??" Nia asked kriya with gleaming eyes "I will have anything you would love to offer honey." she ruffled nia's hairs.
"Okaie dokie..Be there in the evening...and wear a nice dress..bbyee...love you kri. come dad we have a lot on our plate." with this she grabbed rey's hand and on her way catching up their coats..she dashed away with rey.
