The next morning Khushi was seen running around the whole house, getting ready. It was her first day of internship and she didn't want to be late. She had heard a lot of things about her boss, Arnav Singh Raizada. He was a Harvard School pass out and was the most strict person alive. He believed in nothing less than perfection.
Somehow everytime Khushi remembered her new boss all she could imagine was the face of the stranger she had met the previous day and the mere thought of him rose her anger.
No, she wasn't the type of person who got angry on little things but somehow she couldn't stop the rage that would course through her body everytime she thought of him. All she could pray was that he never comes in front of her again.
She was so busy in the thoughts of him that she had absolutely forgotten how late she was. She looked at the clock lying beside her bed and noticed that she only had 20 minutes before she reports at AR. Quickly picking up her bag and after the final goodbyes and best wishes she left home.

Precisely 22 minutes later, Khushi was found running towards the gate of the AR building. She was late on the first day of work, which meant trouble. She ran through the lobby and got into the lift. Just as the lift opened again she pushed everyone and ran towards the reception where she found a lady looking at her with an amused smile on her face.
"Hi, my name is Khushi Gupta and I am the new intern here. Could I know where I have to report, please?" she asked sweetly while she tried to catch her breath.
"Sure, but young lady, you're late. ASR wouldn't like that one bit." The lady replied back.
"I know, I am extremely sorry." Khushi said, genuinely guilty about the delay.
"Its okay. The briefing is taking place at ASR's cabin. Second floor, last cabin on the left." She replied back, showing her the way to the staircase.
"Thank you so much, ma'am." Khushi smiled back.
She had reached in front of his cabin and knocked the door. She heard a quick come in and she slightly opened the door and walked in standing close to her friends.
The man standing in front of her was facing his back to her and had a stiff stance. He was well-built but looked extremely thin. She could guess by his stand, that he was the ASR. Arrogance was oozing out of him. She could easily guess that he was a control-freak, a person who had control over everything that took place around him.
Her thoughts were broken when she saw him swiftly turning around to face her and what she saw shocked her to no ends.
There he was, the same arrogant jerk, standing in front of her with an evil smirk on his face. Her jaw dropped, never in her whole life had she thought that she would have to face him again within 24 hours. And here she was praying just this morning to never see him again, but now it looked like she would have to see him every single day for the next 2 months. "What had her life come to." She thought.
She looked at him and noticed how his expressions had changed in a matter of a few seconds. Just moments ago, the face that had an evil smile now showed nothing except anger. Khushi knew she had to be civil with him if nothing else. She couldn't afford to loose her job at any cost and so she did the next best thing that came to her mind.
"Go'Good Morning, sir." She stammered.
"Ms. Gupta, right?" he asked with no hint of question in his voice.
"Yes sir." She replied back.
"So, Ms. Gupta, first day at work and you are already 3 minutes late. Do you have an explanation for such a behavior?" he asked, eyeing her.
"Actually sir.." she began only to be cut off by him.
"Save it for someone else. I am not interested. I don't give a damn about why you're late and this kind of behavior would not be tolerated again. I hope I make myself clear here." Arrogance dripping from his mouth.
"Ye'yes sir. I am sorry." She stammered again.
"Keep your apology to yourself." He said and then looking at everyone else, he continued, "Now, few things should be clear to you all. No late arrivals would be tolerated. No kind of fun and frolic during work hours. There are breaks during the day when you can do all of that, but that should be done outside AR premises. And lastly, you would only be given 3 chances. 3 mistakes and you would be sent back home. That is all I am going to tolerate. Three mistakes you make, and it can break your career because as you may know, once you're thrown out of AR, no other firm would take you. So the choice is in your hands. That's it for now. You may leave and you have to report to Aman everyday." He finished.

All the interns came out of ASR's office and breathed a sigh of relief. They had not even noticed that they were holding their breaths. They had heard about his arrogance but today when they had first handedly experienced it, god was it bad. They had no clue how they were going to stay without making mistakes for a whole of 2 months because his mere presence made them nervous.
Aman had told them their jobs and they had all started to walk to their destinations when someone came right in front of them, scaring the hell out of them. They looked up and saw a handsome young man looking at them with a smiling face.
"Well, hello beautiful girls." They heard him speak.
"Hi." Was all they could reply back.
"So you're the new interns who are joining us this year. Its nice to have you here. My name is NandKishore but you can call me NK." He said extending his hand.
"Hi, my name is Khushi." She replied, taking his hand for a shake and then continued, "And these are my friends, Shivani, Shruti and Isha." She smiled.
"Isha huh, I like your name but I think you're way more beautiful than you name." he winked at her, while he went on with some healthy flirting.
Isha on the other hand could not help but blush at his words. She lowered her head so that no one would catch her but was too late as her friends had seen it and were mentally planning on teasing her about the same.
All their thoughts were broken when they heard NK speak again.
"So its amazing having you here. I am the photographer for AR and please don't mind Nannav, he could be a nuisance at times." He said
"Nannav?" asked Khushi.
"Uh, yah, my brother, the owner of this company. Arnav Singh Raizada. You must have met him by now, right?" he said a little surprised.
Khushi on the other hand was extremely surprised and amused hearing this name. She tried controlling her laughter but just couldn't and finally burst out.
"Wha' Nann..oh my god. Nannav? Is that some kind of a name?" she tried saying between her laughter.
She hadn't noticed how loud she was until she heard a loud voice coming from behind her. She looked back, upstairs and what she saw scared her.
There he was looking at her with anger coursing through his whole body, making a shiver run down her spine.
Hope you liked it.😳
