Vajramitra was getting for the battle. Rudra was looking at him and was wondering where his father going? vajramitra goes near him
Vajramitra: I know what are you thinking son, there are so many questions in your mind and I promised you that I'll give answers of all your questions. when I return I'll give answer of all your questions.
Rudra (smiles): ok pitaji.
Vajramitra left for battlefield along with his army.
Videha's palace
Vikramaditya, padmavati and shambhavi returned from cremation ground . vikramaditya tells shambhavi to go to her room. Shambhavi obeys her father and goes to her room. She was very sad with all these happenings. Vikramaditya and padmavati were talking to each other
Padmavati: I still can't believe that you are going to fight with your best friend.
Vikramaditya(with disappointment): he left no other option for me. He killed my brother, I have to avenge my brother's death. Vikrant was innocent, his intentions were good but vajramitra killed him brutally. I can't forget how brutally he killed him.
Padmavati: whatever you do swami I am always with you. My best wishes are always with you and I am sure that you will return as a winner.
Vikramaditya goes to meet shambhavi in her room. He saw her sitting alone.
Vikramaditya: why my princess is upset?
Shambhavi: pitaji, why did all this happen? Two days before we were so happy and now everyone is sad and unhappy.
Vikramaditya: shambhavi, some things are not in our control. Some things are bound to happen.
Shambhavi: But pitaji why are you going to fight with rudra's father??
Vikramaditya was shocked to know that shambhavi knows everything..
Shambhavi: yes pitaji, I know all.
Vikramaditya: look shambhavi I told you that we can't control everything some things are bound to happen and if it is written that me and rudra's father will fight then we'll have to fight.
Vikramaditya somehow manages to make shambhavi understand and left for battlefield.
Battlefield
Both the kings and their armies were standing facing each other. Vikramaditya and vajramitra were watching each other furiously. Suddenly vajramitra said,
Vajramitra: vikramaditya, surrender yourself and you and you army will be spared.
This angers vikramaditya more. He said
vikramaditya: vajramitra, I came here to take revenge of my brother's death whom you killed brutally.
Vajramitra was puzzled hearing this.
Vajramitra: what are you saying? I didn't killed your brother. Don't accuse me of your brother's death.
Vikramaditya: you did you killed him when he came to meet you?.
Vajramitra: non sense you are saying this so that you can get an excuse to fight with me. Your brother never came to me. I regret being your friend and today I'll take revenge of my wife's death from you.
Vikramaditya fumes in anger and shouts "Attack"
Both the armies start fighting. Many soldiers died from both the sides. The battle lasted for several days and now vikramaditya and vajramitra was face to face for. They started sword fighting, both were great warriors and it was almost impossible to predict who's gonna win. Both were getting injured but still they were fighting for their own reasons and in the end it was vikramaditya who won the battle. vajramitra lost the battle. He was badly injured. He wasn't even able to stand up.
Vikramaditya: I won't kill you, I can't kill you. You were my friend and for the sake of our past relation I spare your life.
Vajramitra was lying on the ground but his eyes were full of rage. He still can't believe that he lost to vikramaditya. He was depressed and sad that he couldn't take revenge of his wife's death.
Vikramaditya goes from there. Baldev comes and help vajramitra in standing up. All went to their respective kingdoms..
Videha's palace
Queen padmavati was applying lep on vikramaditya's wounds. She was hurt seeing her husband in this condition.
Vikramaditya: why are you upset dear?. Your husband has won the battle.
Padmavati: I am happy that you won the battle but I am sad seeing your wounds.
Vikramaditya: padmavati, wounds are part of a warrior.
Padmavati: you are right swami. Its just I can't see you in pain.
Vikramaditya smiles and both hug
Mahisha's palace
Rudra was fuming in anger watching her father wounds and his condition. Raj vaidya was doing his treatment. He tells everybody to leave vajramitra alone as he needs rest but rudra refuses to go. Everyone goes from the room except rudra. Vajramitra was in pain but still manages to open his eyes. He saw rudra sitting besides him but he wasn't crying.
Vajramitra: what are you doing here son. Its late and you should be in your room. Go to sleep.
Rudra(in anger): How can you expect me to sleep after watching you like this.
Vajramitra: its nothing son. These wound will heal in few days.
Rudra: But what about the wounds of heart. They will never heal.you promised me that you'll answer my questions. it's time to answer my all questions father.
Vajramitra was feeling helpless but he promised his son that he'll tell him everything. Vajramitra tells him everything how rudra mother died how she pointed towards vikramaditya the conversation between him and vikramaditya.
Rudra's eyes were full of rage and fury. He was burning with anger. He tells vajramitra
Rudra: Pitaji, I'll not leave that person who killed my mother, who insulted you. I promise you pitaji that I'll take revenge of your every tear, ma's death and your insult. I'll punish vikramaditya for snatching away my mother from me.
Vajramaitra was stunned and couldn't believe what his son said. He asked rudra to calm down and it's not right to think about all this in this age. But rudra was not in the mood to listen.
Rudra: I'll destroy the world of that person who destroyed my world. He Fumes in anger…
