And we see progress already. Has it really been just a week? Indispensable. That bothers Arnav alright. Having to consciously hate a person isn't really hate at all now, is it? It's more a deep seated sense of hurt and anger.
Again J, I lau your research. It lends a realistic base to what is essentially a love story.
And DAN, the infamous Sheesh Mahal which is the scene for the prologue. So SOMETHING does change Arnav's mind alright. He does host the party there after all. And Sheetal does come to India.
SO, after this chapter, I say that Arnav's condition will be that Khushi must accompany him to the States where their relationship improves significantly and their attraction grows. A slightly jealous Sheetal comes to India with them when they return. He hosts the party (because reason XYZ changes his mind) and when he's AT Sheesh Mahal, memories and all the hurt come rushing back; and he makes out with an all too eager Sheetal to convince himself that he DOES NOT care about Khushi and that he only needs to get laid for him to get rid of the deepening attraction. And when Khushi sees them, he recognizes the hurt in her eyes and realizes that he DOES care after all. And then we have a confrontation? And the past is revealed. DAN they figure out how to resolve it.

Of course I'm still blank about what Khushi might possibly have done ten years ago that involves Sheesh Mahal and a wedding.
But the way they appreciate what the other brings to the table is beautiful! His acceptance of her sincerity, tact and efficiency and her realization of his suitability and dynamism and how they make a great team is a pleasure to read! Their verbal sparring internally, but teaming up against outsiders (almost subconsciously) is exhilarating!
And underneath it all-- the tendrils of their attraction creeping up on them and reminding them of it at the most inopportune moments-- so YOU!
Damn it J! I put off reading this all day so that I could savour it slowly when I have time and it's over already! I can haf moar pliss?
