Arnav: Khushi aur meri... (Khushi and my...) *He said just above a whisper*

Anjali took the baby from Lavanya's arms. She couldn't believe it, her Chotte's baby. It felt surreal.

He glanced at Anjali; she was playing with Sakshi and taking to Lavanya. All of sudden he felt a pang inside himself; he got up and walked over to Anjali. Anjali looked up to see Arnav staring at her; confusion, shock, love and every other emotion was plastered on his face.

She studied his face and without him saying a word, she just knew it; he wanted his baby in his arms. Anjali stood up and motioned to him to take the baby. Arnav nodded and opened his hands for her.

As soon as Sakshi's little body was safely into his arms, he felt a sensation come over him. He felt proud, this was the first time he'd held his baby, he was a dad. He felt the need to protect her from everything. It was a new and profound feeling. Without having a second thought, he turned and walked straight to his room.

Anjali stopped Lavanya just as she was about to go behind Arnav, "He needs some time alone with her." Lavanya nodded, "You're right, its just that I'm really protective over her, she's Khushi" Anjali smiled, "You don't need to justify yourself." Lavanya smiled.

Arnav closed his door and sat on the bed holding Sakshi. A thousand things were running through his mind; about Sakshi and Khushi. He rested against the headboard with Sakshi cradled in his arms. Arnav looked into her bright chocolate brown eyes; she looked like Khushi, the complexion, her smile, her beauty. He couldn't believe it, she was his; he still couldn't wrap his head around that fact.

He heard a knock on the door; he looked up to see Anjali, "Chotte, woh Lavanya's staying in the guest room aur Sakshi" Arnav stood up, "Di, Sakshi will stay here." Anjali smiled, "Chotte, babies are a lot of work; you won't be able to manage!" "Di, im her dad and besides if I won't try, how will I know!! If I need anything I'll call you," Arnav said. Anjali nodded and kissed Sakshi, "Okay, I'll send her bags up in a while. Goodnight Chotte" Arnav smiled, "Goodnight Di"

He played with her; making weird faces, baby sounds, tickling her, showering her with love. Before Arnav knew it, she had fallen asleep. He put her onto the bed, with one hand lightly touching her. Arnav thought, "Hmm' she's a pretty easy baby!" He gazed at her and wondered how his life had changed so much in the matter of a few hours.

After a few hours of a peaceful sleep, Arnav was jolted awake by a loud cry. He picked Sakshi up and stared at her' he didnt have a clue as to what to do. He checked his phone it was past midnight. He started pacing up and down his room with a wailing Sakshi.

Arnav thought, ' Dammit it, this isn't as easy as i thought! '
