Arshi FF | Arshi's Saviour; Lavanya | Chap 24 p 128 May 9th

This is the first short story i've ever written... hope you like it 😊

Prologue

As the 6months contract neared its end, everything was going smoothly between Arnav and khushi. Then one night changed everything; Arnav threw Khushi out of the house. The last time Arnav and Khushi met was nearly a year ago. What happens when Arnav's ex girlfriend; Lavanya appears out of nowhere with something of Arnav's... and Khushi's!!

Chapter 1

Raizada Mansion

*Doorbell rings*

Anjali opens the door and sees Lavanya

Anjali: Lavanya aap? (Lavanya you?)

Lavanya: Ji Di. (Yes Di)

Anjali looks at her, still confused, something catches her eyes, and a shocked expression comes over her face.

Anjali: Lavanya, ye bachcha? (Lavanya, this baby?)

Lavanya: Woh, Di, ASR kahan hai? Can I come in? *holding the baby closer to her* (Di where is ASR? Can i come in?)

Anjali: Ji, lekin.. (Yes, but..)

Lavanya: Di, main aapko sab kuch bata dengay bas batado ki ASR kahan hai? (Di, I'll tell you everything, but please tell me where ASR is?)

*Lavanya and Anjali enters the house*

*They sit on the couch near to the stairs*

Anjaii: Hariprakashji, sadda Chotte ko bulayee please. (Hariprakash, call 'Chotte' Arnav please)

HP: Ji *goes to Arnav's room*

Anjali: Ab batado. (Now, tell me)

Lavanya: *nods* Di, ye bachcha ASR ka hai. (Di, this baby is ASR's)

Anjali: Kya?! Ye bachcha Chotte aur aapki (What?! This is Chotte and your..)

*Lavanya cuts her across*

Lavanya: Nahin Di, ye bachcha ASR aur Chamkeli ka hai! (No Di, This baby is ASR and Chamkeli's)

Both in unison

Anjali: Khushiji .. Arnav: Khushi

*Lavanya and Anjali turn to see Arnav standing on the stairs*

*Arnav walks downstairs to where they were standing*

Arnav: Kya kaha aapnay? (What did you just say?)

Lavanya: Woh, ASR'. Ye Khushi aur aapka bachcha hai. (ASR, This is Khushi and your baby)

Arnav: WHAT??(he looked at the little baby in Lavanya's hands... shocked was an understatement)

Chapter 2

Arnav sat on the couch opposite to Anjali and Lavanya..

Arnav : Explain!!

Lavanya: Yeah, ASR, actually when Khushi left here, I met her... (she started to tell them when she had met Khushi)

(Flashback begins)

Lavanya was walking along the street when she noticed someone familiar sitting on a bench. She walked up to that person.

Lavanya: Khushi

Khushi : (turned to see Lavanya) Lavanyaji

Lavanya: (she sat down) What are you doing here Khushi? Where's ASR? (she asked looking around for him)

Khushi: (in a gloomy face) he's not here' we're not together anymore. We're' we're divorced.

Lavanya: WHAT??

Khushi: yeah.. I actually, im looking for a job!

Lavanya: Khushi' come with me

Khushi: Lavanyaji?!

Lavanya: Come nah.

Khushi: Okay (Khushi stood up from the bench)

That's when Lavanya saw Khushi's stomach'

Lavanya: Khushi, you're pregnant?!

Khushi: (nods her head in approval)

Lavanya: But' does ASR, he.. and you're all alone here?!

Khushi: Don't tell him anything' please!!

Lavanya: But why?! Khushi, he's the father'

Khushi: Please' (she begs Lavanya)

Lavanya : Okay

Lavanya takes Khushi to her house. She tells Khushi that she need not work as she is in this condition and she can stay with her. Lavanya takes care of Khushi throughout her pregnancy. Khushi shared everything with Lavanya, from the baby's first kick to the name she picked out for the baby. During Khushi's delivery, she had some complications. Khushi went into coma, when she had the baby. Lavanya took the baby and cared for her, like she was her own daughter. She named Khushi's baby, Sakshi' just like Khushi had wanted.

Two months later, there was still no improvement with Khushi and it was taking a toll on Lavanya. The hospital bills were piling up and juggling the baby and work was nearly impossible now. She knew she had to turn to someone, and this person was Arnav. He had a right to know what was happening. So she made up her mind that morning and went to the Raizada Mansion with little Sakshi in tow.

(Flashback ends)

Arnav looked at Lavanya and then at the baby. He tried processing everything that Lavanya had just told him.

Arnav: Sakshi meri beti. Khushi aur meri.. (Sakhi is my daughter. Khushi and my..)
