so the realization hits...sameer z dead..meera in denial...shekhar in dilemma...n story reached in a turning point😛

offtopic: reading throug the story,caught up with words like truth,misleading info,lies,denial etc...n reminded me of something else...😎😆😆

who knows its a manifestation or searching for answers in a strange/vague way?🤪😆(now im running away)

looking forward to the next update...

Chapter 7

"Laakh duniya kahe...tum nahin ho...

tum yahin ho...tum yahin ho..."

Sometimes in life..we know the truth but are afraid to face it..But someday we have to realise that even if it seems worse than any nightmare...it remains truth.. Meera was at such state.. She knew the truth all along...but still wanted to hold on..to one what if... But now she realised ...there was no But...just a fact...thats probably had changed her life forever... She sat with her eyes looking into space at distance with no feeling...She wanted to scream..yell out...and ask...Why...? But her lips were not moving...and even those eyes refused to let her out the enormous pain hidden behind them...

"Meera.. Doctor said we can take you home dear..." Meera's mother caressed her hair softly...

She didnt respond...just looked at her with questioning eyes...Meera's mother were afraid of those questions.. but she knew that finally her daughter has realised her fate... She took her to her arms...and patted her back softly...Meera laid in those arms...closing her eyes...wishing it all just end like bad dream...and Her sameer wakes her up...

"Maa...What are you saying... I mean...How can I ..." Shekhar was surprised with her maa's suggestion...

"You still love her...You cant see her in pain...and I cant see you like this..."

His mother had known this truth from the time Meera got married...She had noticed shekhar's unshed tears...his state was vulnerable...but then he was trying hard to show...it didnt affected at all... Her son was in love ..and who else but her can know the pain of not getting love back from the one you love...She had seen her son battle his feelings all along...trying to stabilise his life with more work...But she knew..He was still far away from moving on... and when he was still moving on...news of Sameer had made him more vulnerable...but still he wont speak up even at this time...as always he had never given his feelings any importance...so she had to say it...for him...for Meera...this was the only way out to bring back their lives on track..to make everything alright...

"She will never..I know it...She loved him maa...She belonged to him..." Shekher stood up and just went out of room...as he thought he will not be able to take this more...

Next morning

Shekhar visited hospital..Everyone was preparing to take meera back home...As was decided by meera herself...she wanted to go to Sameer's house with Gayatri Maa.. Others were busy with formalities in hospital ..and two mothers were sitting across Meera's bed when he entered...

"Shekhar beta... Look Meera...who is here...You both talk...me and Gayatri will be outside..If needed..." Her mother knew that if there is someone with whom meera can let out her feelings...its shekhar...She wanted her to let it out to him...what she was unable to do with them being around... Ladies went out after shekhar greeted them ..

It was hard sight...and he knew he was not that brave...but still he had to be strong...He came near..and sat beside...Meera was still looking at nothing...He held her hand...and she looked up to him...He stood up and came closer...still holding her hand..Slowly he put other hand on her head...gently caressing her...She knew it...those emotions were high...and she needed to let it out in front of the only one...that she could...She held him tight in her arms...clutching his shirt...holding on...and cried hard...She cried till she could...while he held her on...just allowing her to have it all out...Those weeks of wait...had to end...and realisation was bitter one..She cried till she was tired..on his shoulder..the one she could trust for life...Soon time had come to take her home...She was feeling numb after breaking down in shekhar's arm..Meera slowly stood up and went out of room with her family..

He stood alone as everyone left for outside...A decision was made then ...Shekhar knew it then...He has to bring light back in her life...She had suffered worse...He wanted to heal her wounds..it was difficult for both...but he had to give it a try...for her...for them...

Sorry for this late update. and Thanks to all my friends for reading and such honest feedback. I would like to take names of my non IF friends who read story and give me honest critics views at times. A shout out to my friends- Avani,Vidhi and Anu...

It was short update...hope you all enjoy...and be honest in your views. I would love some criticism as well...as i am learning..to be patient ..writing indeed requires that..

riti.. read both 6th and 7th chapters together now.. you have really brought out all the emotions of both meera and shekar very well.. felt bad for meera but guess this had to happen.. your writing was engrossing.. looking ahead for the next part.. looking how meera reacts to shekar's decision(which i am guessing now)

so this z the gist of this update n the recurring emotion throughout the entire story...denial,pain,vulnerability,trauma...each n every character z going through it...

why all the characters r vulnerable ritiji?

you have a penchant for portraying the frozen emotions n making it palpable for the reader...

"vulnerable...and delicate..." You brought out these feelings well in Shekhar and now we get to know why he will take some steps ahead, though he himself never wanted her to know his pain or feelings...

unrequited love always leaves two options... either to keep batting on as the "hurt" batsman or to be out "declared "retired hurt"... either way it looks to others like batting for the lost cause😳 lo... my vishesh tippani.

between loved the opening lines...
