Note- This was important chapter and also next one too as it is major turning point in the story. From here story is totally into present and will be moving to what I actually wanted to depict. I dont know if I am able to keep my word for it. I have never written a long chapter thus hopefully I will be able to live up ...First of all thanks to my close friends of both IF and real world for all encouragement and suggestions. I am really encouraged and it feels nice that you all have liked my attempt. As said earlier too ...readers are less but love from them is enough encouraging..so a big thanks to All...

Meera came out of her thoughts and decided .She has to do something to end this wait ..She made her way to ticket counter. She was determined and didn't listen to calls of her name made by Shekhar.

Shekhar was worried.. What was she upto...and where is she going.He rushed inside to see meera approaching ticket counter.

"Ma'am Please give me one ticket to Shimla for earliest train available.."

Shekhar heard her plea and decided.He had to end this now..this madness.He came near to meera and pulled her out of the queue.Meera was shocked to see Shekhar 's behavior.He was dragging her out of there...Meera tried to free her arms.Shekhar hardened the grip more as she struggled..

"Shekhar,what are you doing..Let me go...Please..I have to go to find him..."

"Shekhar.." She jerked her hand out of his hold and Shekhar turned to look at her.

He looked into her eyes and then pleaded holding her.

"Please meera.. Come out of this madness. You know what I am talking about.Stop fooling yourself for how long will you deny the truth."

Meera's face stiffened on his words."Truth what truth.there is no truth in what people say.I know it.all lies ..all misleading informations..Shekhar I know he will be back. He promised me ..that he will be boarding the train on Friday.when I last talked to him.I know his phone is unreachable now but I am sure he is finding a way to reach to me and will come and then all these people will know the actual Truth.."

Shekhar looked at her ...she was still in denial he knew it but then how long. When he knew that one she awaits for will never come back..

"I know you are worried for me but I will be alright...let me go to shimla and try this last time.I know he is thereI know there must be something ..which has delayed his journey back home."

As she tried going back..Shekhar lost it and held her arms and pulled her closer.

He looked into her eyes and said it furiously." He is not going to come back You understand."

Meera looked at him in shock "Shekhar..what are you.."

"He is dead. "

Those words came out of his mouth before he could realize what he had done. Words had already reached and a realization seeped in a heart that never wanted to hear those words for him..

She looked at those eyes who has never lied to him.She knew it ,he was saying the truth..the truth from which she was running away all this while ..Suddenly the place had gone quiet for her.She could no longer hear what Shekhar was saying. She could see he was worried. What was going on. They were surrounded with people all around and everyone was looking at her.

Shekhar had tears in his eyes and was saying something.he was trying to shake her.Suddenly she felt so weightless..and she heard her name being called 'Meera'..

She knew the voice.His voice.She gently smiled.She wanted to reach out to the voice but her hands were not moving..Her sameer was calling her.She heard him.She wanted world to know that he is there but her voice was very feeble..all she could see now were faint images..and she felt a pull on her body. They were carrying her away but she wanted to shout and scream to let her go. She heard his voice.Why was no one listening..

"Meera Meera ..Wake up...Meera...Can you hear me..Meera" a worried Shekhar had called meera's name so many times.

Soon Shekhar with help of people around had put meera in his car and he made it to nearby hospital.. He had informed Nikhil on his way to hospital.. and also asked him to inform Gayatri Aunty..

His heart was beating fast and he was finding it difficult to breathe. He was haunted with bad thoughts as he rushed inside taking meera in his arms.

Finally meera was put to ease. Doctors had arrived and so had meera's family and Gayatri Aunty..
Everyone was waiting anxiously outside and doctors were examining her.

Dr . Radha had come out .."Meera is fine. Her trauma was too much to handle for her with medicines we have made her relax but we need to counsel her to get her out of this depression.."

Dr. Radha called Meera's mother and Gayatri devi to her cabin discussing on meera's health and medication.

Shekhar was outside meera's room .His eyes looking at how peacefully she was placed..He noticed those glucose pipes going through her wrist.It must be hurting her ,he thought.but was it just physical pain that she was going through.how was she handling the unbearable pain that sameer's news had brought in.. had she finally believed it.

Shekhar recalled Nikhil's phone call when he first got the news of Sameer accident in Shimla. He could not believe his ears.He wanted to know if there was any chance this news could be wrong and it was just a nightmare.But this nightmare was meera's reality.

A hand came to his shoulder and he came out of his thoughts.

"Shekhar ..I think you should go home. " said nikhil as he noticed shekhar's weary eyes and sensed that he needed to be away for a while for his own peace.

"We will take care of meera..Don't worry" as Nikhil assured.Shekhar thought it was best thing to leave from this place as he was not sure if he could take it any longer..u

As he went out of hospital.He was lost in his thoughts.It had started to rain.He was glad that it was raining and it masked the tears that had come running down his eyes .He had finally let them out, when no one had noticed. Rain had drenched him completely but he was not feeling anything. There was numbness all around. So many thoughts crossed his mind..Why it happened..Why it happened to those who he loves the most. He had seen his mother suffered when he was so young.. and now he was seeing the girl who meant the most to him..going through so much in such young age.what was her fault..Why she paid the price What was her mother's fault too and why did he has to go through the pain of watching them in this state.Was it his fate.Was he so unlucky for the one he loves.

"Hey get out of the way.You moron" shouted a man from his car as Shekhar realized that he was walking in middle of road.He didn't realize when he came there and how long had he been walking like this.He came to his senses and made way to his car.

His phone rang and he picked up.

"Shekhar...where are you.I was trying to call you since evening."

"Maa.." He barely managed to speak as emotions were high."I am coming ."his voice broke.

His mother sensed pain in his voice "Are you alright..Shekhar..Where are you." A worried mother had asked

"I am fine.." Shekhar lied to his mother

As Shekhar reached home ..his mother noticed his eyes and there were tears mark on his cheek. Her mother wanted to ask him but before she could ask.Shekhar went to his room.

He was sitting in his chair lost in day's events ..He was tired of fighting this battle.He was tired of hurting himself so much and seeing his loved ones in so much pain. He closed his weary eyes and put his head down to rest and soon his mother came

She had put her hand in his hair and he looked up.She knew he needed her.and that he was in pain.A helpless mother looked at his son's state. She knew he was dying seeing meera in this state. And finally when Shekhar told her that he had finally managed to make meera's see the truth. She understood pain inside his heart. She embraced him and he broke down holding her tight. He was feeling so helpless..so broken

"Why .ma.." Shekhar asked knowing his mother had no answer

"Why meera ,How can I help her.I so want to.."

"Marry her" Shekhar looked astonishedly at his mother when she said these words.

its hard to accept the truth, wen the truth brings unimaginable pain... Shekhar did the right thing. someone had to shake up Meera, before she lost herself to memories...

n Shekhar's helpessness...😔... poor soul... what can he possibly do other than breaking down without letting meera know.

may be these words will change their life😛

Beautiful update Riti, so far the best IMO. Loved the way Shekhar's emotion was presented and also his decision to let Meera know the truth. Someone had to break the ice.

Meera's state of mind was palpable. That was the last straw with which her hopes were hanging and when that was taken out of her hand, she could not sustain herself.

Shekhar's care to concern to love journey was touching. So was his helplessness.
Hopefully he would take his mom's suggestion and would try to make the things easier both for himself and Meera.

Yeh Dil maange more😛.
