"beta uss ladki ka kya hua??? koun thi wo... "her naani tried to remember.

"swetha! "kriya said looking at her plate "wo ab nahi hai dadi!! "she sighed

"toh uss ladke ka kya haal hai?? " her naanu asked

"naanu mai uske saamne nahi jaa sakti ab!!"kriya said still sad.

"tumhara friend haina?? tumhe usko support dena chahiye" her naani said

"haa!! tumhari naani sahi keh rahi hai!!" he supported her.

"naani naanu..aapko pata hai mai uske saamne nahi jaasakti..he believed me a lot, bohut trust tha usse mujhpe... maine sab thod diya, mujhe aur seriously lena chahiye tha."she said

"beta tune apni poori koshish ki..its just not meant to be beta ...apne aap ko mat blame karo, and jab dost dukh hota hai usko support karna ek friend ka duty hota hai... "her naanu said.

"naanu please mai nahi jaasakti!! mujhe hi usse friendship nahi karna chahiye tha, mai ek buri frnd hun aur buri doctor bhi!"she said pouting sadly.

"offo ab fir se shuru mat hona...theek hai uss ladke se na milo!! ab jaake so jao kal subah tumhe operation keliye jaana hai yaad hai?? "her naani said

"okay!! "she nodded and left to her room after having dinner. She thought of Rey once how broken he would be but her this insecurity that she would hurt everyone close to her made her adamant on the decision for not meeting Rey.

"beta kuch bolo toh!! tum aise rahoge toh hum jaa nahi paayenge" swetha's mom pleaded him who was sitting silently in his room looking out of the window.

"toh yahi rukh jayiye na!!"for the first time in two days he spoke still his gaze fixed outside.

Everyone was happy!! atleast he responded.

"beta hum nahi rukh sakte... tumhe pata hai uss ghar mei kitni yaadein hai!!! we are not that strong ki unn yadon mei jee sake." swetha's dad spoke caressing his hair.

" pehle aapki beti ab aap..sab jaa rahe hona??"he finally looked at swetha's mom!! and she hugged him immediately!!

"tumhe koun chod ke jaana chahta hai beta... par hume samajhne ki koshish karo!!"she broke into tears.

"hmm... I do understand. kab ki flight hai??"he asked pulling back and wiping her tears.

"abhi thodi der mei"swetha's dad replied.

"chaliye mai drop kardeta hun"he said and walked out grabbing the keys before anyone could react. they sighed ...swetha's parents bid bye to the singhania's and were a bit happy that Rey atlast reacted.

" ron mujhe bohut dar lag raha hai!! " priya rey's mom said moving to and fro.

"priya calm down..aajayega"he consoled her but he himself is worried about his son..he went to drop them in the morning and its almost 8 in the evening and no sigh of him!!

" kahi ho kuch.."

"paagala ho kya priya..humara beta itna bewakoof nahi hai "he convinced her.

"I hate you!!" they heard someone shouted ..it seemed Rey they ran out to see the worst sight ... there stood Rey on the road fully drunk and shouting I hate you seeing swetha's house.

"jhooti ... you are a big fat liar!!! I hate you for that!! maine kuch kam pyaar kiya kya?? aise chaligayi...liar..cheater..."he shouted in his slurred tone.

Ranvijay ran to him and dragged him in.

" dekha papa...wo ..wo ladki mujhe aise hi chod ke chaligayi! she left me...left me...all alone...alone...akela"he repeated and finally fell unconcious!! ranvijay lifted him and took to his room.

"bachpan mei isse khush karne keliye uthatha par ab iss situation mei uthana pade aisa kabhi nahi sochta tha!!"he choked as priya held his shoulder comforting him!!

the next few days were hell for the couple... the whole morning they used to take care of rey like a baby and he would somehow escape in evening and return back fully drunk . but it was one day they found out that he got addicted to drug more than drinks. And this left ranvijay out of temper ending up locking in the room as he cried to open.

"Mr. Kapoor." vijay called

"Mr. Singhania aap?? kya hua??" Mr.Kapoor asked

"doctor aap ek baar ghar aasakte hai ...actually rey"he explained him the whole thing.

"aap chinta mat kijiye .."he was cut

"mai hospital ko car bhejun??"vijay asked curiously.

"ji pakka"and he ended the call

""sir aap itne formal kyun ho rahe ho baat kya hai boliye" she asked

"kriya actually Singhania family ke family doctor hun mai ...unki bete ke haalat theek nahi hai...he lost his love few days back and thus you know the same mistake drugs lena shuru kiya... mai abroad mei hun..apni experiment chod ke nahi aasakta kya tum "he hesitated

"arey sir aap itna hesitate kyun kar rahe ho?? aapki ye student apne shishya keliye kuch bhi karne keliye tayyar hai "she said dramatically. He laughed..

"chalo car aachuka hoga ...jao"he said and ended the car.

Kriya was taken to the singhania mansion

PS: kriya doesn't know rey's full name she just knows his short name rey

"aunty aap??" kriya was surprised to see priya and behind her came ranvijay.

"uncle aap Mr.Singhania ho??"she asked shocked on realising. he nodded and both priya and vijay smiled seeing this doctor who did a lot to save swetha and the one who boosted up rey.

"wait...aap Mr.Singhania ho toh aapka beta...matlab rey???"she asked as the truth blowed her mind.

they nodded sadly...

"what?? rey aur drugs?? maine socha aur usse kahi jyaada strong hai "she found herself getting irritated.

"kaha hai wo??"she asked as they lead her to his room he entered and closed the door and Rey looked up hearing the sound. There stood she with a shocked expression.

"what the hell rey ..ye tum apna kaisi.."before she could speak further he spoke

"kriya mujhe yaha se bahar nikalo please dad nahi jaane denge ..its killing me..."rey pleaded her

"drugs??"she asked him not able to believe.

he was in mood to feel guitly etc etc he nodded his head and said.

"mere paas jo bhi tha sab papa ne leli kriya please I need it... please ...its killing me"he pleaded her.

"No ways rey !! I am not gonna let you do that!"she spoke sternly!

" tum koun ho haan?? mai abhi jaaunga..."he flared up and walked front when she pulled back.

"tum kahi nahi jaarahe ho samjhe??"she said strictly

" mujhe kya karna hai tumhe batane ki zaroorat nahi " he shouted as his insides killed him he need the drug in any cause now...

"rey bed pe laito"she said seriously...an unknown threat in her voice.

He was adamant on not listening to her.

"I said NOW!!"she shouted finally getting irritated.. he did fear for that dreadful tone... his mind knew if he messes up with her now it would be his end as she was in the worst The Doctor Kriya mode.

"Kriya please try to understand...it kills"he pleaded with all his might...and his this plea for sure wiped her anger.She took his palms in hers an dtook him to the bed made him sit and kneeled before him.

"Rey!! meri baat samajhne ki koshish karo...dekho ye drugs...ye sab ..it will take your life from you dammit"she said soflty.

"mujhe waise bhi nahi jeena ... pata hai kitna dard hota hai ye soch ke ki swetha ab mere saath nahi hai??" he said as tears rolled down his cheek.

"I know... par socho...tumhare saath saath tumhare mom dad bhi dukhi hai...unhe bhi pain hota hai...its not like unkeliye swetha sirf teri lover hai...unki bhi kuch lagti hai wo...they are close to her too..right?? she asked as he nodded looking at her to understand what she wanted to say.

"aur agar ab tumhe kuch hogaya.. don't you think unhe tumhe abhi jitna dard ho raha hai usse kahi jyaada hoga?? bolo..tumhara swetha se pyaar sirf 3 saal ki hai rey..unki tumse 27 years ki hai... " she squeezed his hand as he carefully listened to her

"mai ye nahi bol rahi hun wo chaligayi toh bhool jao...No...mat bhoolo usse.. she is no more ..iss ek moment ko yaad rakhke uske saath jo saare moments hai wo sab bhool gaye?? sacha pyaar apni pyaar keliye rone mei nahi ...uskeliye strong rehne mei hota hai...she will rpoud if you will handle yourself and your parents. ...just accept its not meant to be ..but you do love her . "she said with a hope he would understand.

"kaash maine aur seriously liya hota toh aaj shayad.."she said looking down.. and the next second she felt her hands in his..he came to her level.

"tumne hi toh bola it was just not meant to be...isme tumhari koi galti nahi kriya...I know tumne kitna effort daala as a doctor and as a friend."he said looking into her eyes.

"le... janab abhi tak badi emotional baatein kar raha tha aur ba mujhe console kar rahe ho?? agar itni strong ho toh pehle kyun nahi the itna strong??haa?? "she mocked him making the environment lighter.

" tab mujhe ye saari details samjhane keliye tum nahi thi na... I waitied for you kriya...par tumne call tak nahi kiya??? apni guilt ki wajah se??" rey asked her ...he really wished she was there with him to support him ...because she was the one who understood him well in a very short span and could make him understand the situation the way he understand.

"I am sorry "she said looking down.

" finally aagayi..so maaf kiya"he smiled at her ...may be first time after he lost swetha.

"hmm...glad you did "she said smiling

"but kriya..it kills..I know stupid tha but uss time pe mujhe kuch samajh nahi aaraha tha and now uske bina I am tired of fighting with my body kriya. "he said

"mai hun na... iss baar I make sure I won't fail...tumhe pakka isse baahar nikalungi...just promise me ..you will respect my decision, you will try your best to stay away aur baaki mai dekhlungi.. just trust me???"she asked dissapointment clear in her eyes.

"I always trusted your ability kriya...and I still trust you..I never lost trust in you..its you who is feeling guilty!!"he said sitting on the bed.

" agar tum chahti ho ki mai tumhari efforts aur decision ko trust karun toh tumhe meri ek baat maan ni padegi"he said folding his hands.

"aur wo kya hai??"she asked standing .

he made her sit beside him..

"promise me you will believe in what you do...trust me kriya tum apni poori koshish karti ho..never think you didn't do any effort...you are the best doctor I hav met kriya... believe more in youself!!"he said looking to her eyes.

"okay deal then..I will help you to get over your drug weakness and viceversa"she raised her eyebrow.

" yes boss!!"he saluted "kriya agar mai khud ko rokh nahi paaya toh??" he frowned again..

"jab bhi tum aise feel karoge just call me okay??" she said assuring him that she will take care of everything.

he nodded... "toh ab mai kya karoon...I badly need it" he said

"sona hai... okay mai tumhe injection doongi ..sojao.. thoda strong dose hi dungi ..iss dimaag mei chadna mushkil hai " she hitted on his head as he chuckled.

she gave him a sleeping dose and as he drifted to sleep she went out.

"beta rey??"ranvijay asked tensed.

"he is fin uncle... maine baat kiya usse... he will try to stop this. aur aap bhi uski help karo...jab bhi wo drug lena chahta hai he will surely tell you..he promised ... aap bas usse achi baatein kijiye and keep him busy till I arrive okay??" she smiled.

"wo ab??"priya asked.

"so raha hai... maine sleeping dose diya hai... aaj poora din soyega..kal subah uske uthte hi chai ya coffee..jo wo peeta hai wo garama garam dijiye ... make sure he is happy!!usse ye feel karwayiye ki usne drugs leke apni happiness kho diya.. he will for sure stop it"she said

priya hugged her.

"thanks a lot beta" she said kissing her forehead.

"aunty he is my friend..mujhe pehle hi aana chahiye tha to support him but koi baat nahi its better late than never. aap chinta mat kijiye ..sab theek hoga"she bid bye and left.

"kriya.. kaha pe ho?? "rey called her..

"mai naanu aur naahi ke saath shopping pe hun rey ..abhi khatam hua ghar jaarahe hai.. kyun koi kaam tha?" she asked

"haan tum urgently aasakti ho??? I need your help please"he pleaded...

"yeah abhi aarahi hun..will you mind if I bring my naanu and naani with me??"she asked..she wondered why he is calling her...its been a week since she started her treatment and rey atleast learned to control himself she wondered what is the problem but she don't wanna risk .

"haa haan koi baat nahi bas jaldi aajao" he said .
he sounded tensed ..so she quickly went to his house...

as she stepped in ..

SURPRISE!!!!!!

she stood her jaw touching the ground.
