" Great job Rohan!! Tumhe operation karna aata hai " she mocked.
"Kriya!! "he whinned.
" What?? Tumhe pata hai tumhari problem kya hai?? Tum ye sochte ho ki hospital jaana hai aur kaam karna hai.. you are just helping people and curing them, koi kaam nahi , I am glad finally you took it seriously " She smiled honestly.
" I know!! I am sorry for that "he looked down.
" Tumhare andar talent bohut hai, but you are too lazy to bring it out. Waise bhi you took an initiative, do continue, and ye tera first operation hai.. and I can already see good signs " she smiled at him.
" Thanks!! "he grinned and went away . She shook her head smiling. He is such a lazy bum , finally he decided to work.
She walked to her cabin smiling . She really has high hopes for this case. They started the treatment just in time. All thanks to Rohan who wisely handled .
She opened the door all happy when soon a frown replaced her smile. She saw Rey leaning back on the couch , his left hand covering his eyes but those tears on his cheeks spoke volumes. Her heart quickened suddenly . Taking a deep breathe she walked to him and sat beside him slowly.
"Rey " she placed her hand on his shoulder whispering. She somewhere already guessed what is bugging him..
In that last 90 minutes he tried very hard to smile thinking about the old times. But suddenly he couldn't just hold himself. When he felt her hand , he knew..he can't hold it anymore. So he just hugged her tight and sniffed hard. He knew she will help him to stand strong through this. He trusts her more than himself in this. And his heart just finds solace in her presence . He sniffed hard tightening his grip . Finally recovering from the slight shock Kriya hugged him back one rubbing his back and other in his hair . She just knows what calm down's his emotions.
" Rey.. kya hua?? " She knows. She doesn't need to know. And she doesn't want to listen too. Her heart shouted. But isn't she is best-friend first?? To hell with this part of heart called love. He needs his bestie and she is always present for him.
"I can't Kriya!! Maine bohut koshish ki .. khush rehne ki , but aaj pata nahi kyun I just... "he sniffed hard.
"She was so delicate Kriya. Aur, she is so pure. Fir uske saath "
"Shhh!!! " She rubbed his back more.
"I don't want to cry Kriya. As you said I honestly want to be happy in those memories. But "
"Kabhi kabhi rona chalta hai Rey. You miss her. So letting your heart out is okay. Perfectly fine. Dekho meri taraf " she pulled him back and cupped his face.
" Take a deep breathe !! Cool down!!! Breathe in " she instructed and he blindly followed.
"Kriya Koi stress relieving pill dedo. Ya fir sleeping pill. I just don't want to be like this . " He pleaded her. She turned around and rolled her eyes. He is too impulsive.
"theek hai !! " She walked to her table to grab some tablets when she heard a knock on the door .
"Come in "
The nurse peeped in and said "Mam Mr.Kapoor aapse kuch baat karna chahte hai, wo aapki mobile pe try kar rahe hai aapne uthaya nahi , wo video call pe aanekeliye bol rahe the " the nurse smiled at Rey who reciprocated.
" Ohh!! Silent mei rakhdiya maine " She grabbed her handbag to check the missed calls.
She took a tablet and walked to Rey.
"Take this " she handed a glass of water along with it. Rey gulped it down soon. But it tasted different . He frowned and looked at her when she started laughing hard. His frown deepened .
"Rey!! Tum bhi na... Wo vitamin tablet hai bas " she giggled . She stopped seeing his glare but soon both laughed.
" Har baar tablets nahi , take a control on your emotions "
"Yeah yeah like you " he said casually when she froze. Does he know what she feels for him? How?? Did she give any signs by mistake .
"Itne saalon se guilt leke baiti hai but chup rahi " he said . She gave a sigh of relief.
" Acha wo sab chodo, ek good news bolun?? " she grinned.
"What?? "
" I think wo ladki 2-3 hours mei hosh mei aajayegi, her body responded to the treatment. Par unconscious hai bas . " She said excited.
"That's great Kriya " They shared a Hi-5.

" So aapko bhi wahi lagta hai?? " Ranvijay spoke finally.
"Ji?? " Her naani spoke .
" Dekhiye mai baat ko ghumana nahi jaanta, I am coming straight to the point. Agar Rey Kriya se shaadi karega toh aapko koi problem hai? "he asked .
" Koun Kriya?? " All the four turned to see Shwetha's parents.
" Shashi!! " Priya was so quick to engulf her in a hug.
"Humne tum logon ko bohut miss kiya!! Kab aaye ? " She asked as ranvijay walked to them.
" Bas Rey ko dekhne ka mann kiya toh aagaye , par yaha toh mere bete ki shaadi ki baat chal rahi hai?? "Shashi, Shwetha's mom raised her eyebrow.
Priya looked away. Its just been months of Swetha's death and these already started talking about Rey's marriage.
"Arrey bolo na.. koi ladki hai?? " She asked excited.
" Pehle andar chalo "Ranvijay hugged Swetha's dad, Sahil.
"Hmm ab bolo " sahil asked after settling.
"Pehle ye Kriya ke naani aur naana " Vijay introduced.
"Kriya?? "
"Haan!! Swetha ki doctor yaad hai? " Priya asked nervous. They nodded.
"Actually pata haina.. Rey ki aur Kriya ki dosti hui thi ?? So jab tum log chale gaye, Rey drug addict ban gaya tha and Kriya uski doctor thi aur " priya was interrupted.
" Kya?? wo ab kaisa hai? "
"Theek hai!! All thanks to Kriya " Vijay smiled.
"Toh tum Rey ki shaadi ki kuch baat kar rahe the?? "Sahil popped the qsn.
" I know ye thoda jaldi hai " vijay was again interrupted.
"Ohh!! Vijay it's okay. Rey move on karega toh bohut acha haina?? Koi mili?? " He said making rey's parents happy.
" Haan!! Wahi baat kar rahe the hum, hume toh Kriya sahi lagti hai, She knows perfectly how to handle Rey, aur Rey bhi uski baat maanta hai, humari baat samjhe ya nahi kriya ki samajhna chahta hai. He is living all over again. Aapko koi problem hai agar Rey kriya se shaadi kare?? "Vijay asked her naanu.
" Dekhiye, Kriya bohut khush rehti hai Rey ke saath. Aaj jo bhi hua wo dekhke toh mujhe yahi lagta hai ki wo pasand karti hai Rey ko "her naani spoke.
"Ye toh bohut achi baat hai " Priya grinned along with sashi.
" Nahi, Hume koi problem nahi, par bachon ko hai toh?? Hume lagta hai ki Kriya Rey ko pasand karti hai. Aur mujhe ye bhi lagta hai ki Rey abhi tak apki beti ko bhool nahi paaya . Wo donon ache dost bane hai. Jab tak hum poori tarah se confirm nahi hote hume ye baat aage nahi badani chahiye. Kya pata humari poochne se unki relation mei koi problem ya awkwardness aaye. Let's give them some time. Fir agar hume laga ki wo donon sach mei ek dusre ko pasand karte hai toh baat badate hai aage " her naanu smiled.
" Hmm!! Ye bhi sahi hai !! "Sahil said as vijay too nodded his head in agreement.
" Waise ye decoration kiskeliye tha?? " Shashi looked around.
"Aaj Kriya ki birthday hai, Rey usse surprise de raha tha " Priya smiled. Shashi's eyes twinkled.
" Toh wo donon hai kaha?? " She wanted to see Kriya now.
" Kriya koi emergency case dekhne gayi aur Rey uske saath gaya " Her naanu explained.
"Aaahhhaann!! " Shashi said with a tint of mischief.
All laughed listening to that.
"Hopefully Rey move on karega " Sahil said when all smiled meekly. Everyone wished the same.

He yawned once again and threw the third magazine on the table . She looked up from the laptop slightly . Glancing once at him she went back to work, video call with Mr.Kapoor.
" Sojaona theek se "Kriya said removing her headphones after 30 minutes and grabbing some book.
" Arey mujhe nahi sona!! Kitne baatein karte ho yaar, aur sab boring. " He made a face.
" Rey wo meri experiment se judi hui hai !! He is just teaching me new things. " She said with a slight chuckle seeing his face .
" Ab toh kuch baat karo " he said but got no reply.
"Kriya?? " he looked at her and there she goes again , engrossed in her laptop, scribbling something on the notebook , adjusting her spectacles. She looked so adorable. He couldn't help but giggle seeing her cute nose standing stiff as she pierced her gaze into the laptop screen.
Damn she is so small.
He was in awe. He never did notice her actually. He examined her carefully. Her thin small lips are mercilessly crushed between her teeth and pen at times. She has a good amount of cheeks. He suddenly felt a need to pull them. Shaking his hand his gaze went upon her nose. At the same time she rubbed her nose as she sensed something irritating there. A bee may be. An then finally his eyes fell on her eyes. They are so beautiful. Round, big and looking extra large as she opened her her wide and reading, with so much concentration. He wondered what was that interesting.

He walked to her back. But he couldn't understand anything so placing his hands on the chair's hands he leaned forward his head just besides her and looked at her laptop. Kriya suddenly sensed something and sensing some face besides her's she jumped startled.
"Easy !! It's me " Rey said immediately holding her shoulders.She sighed deeply.
"Rey!! Darate kyun ho!! Uff, waise tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?? " She asked annoyed. She literally got a mini-heart attack because of him.
"arey mai bore ho raha tha, bas maine socha tere saath padlun " He pouted sadly. She looked away and took a breathe. This feeling is so new to her and controlling them is so hard.
" waise ye kya padti rehti ho hamesha , aur itna boring?? " he made a face.
" FYI , Ye mere experiment keliye kaam aayega aur mai padti hun taaki mai apne aapko updated rakh sakhun ? " She mocked .
"Ab padne do mujhe " she gave a fake smile and got back to reading.
Rey yawned again, something is better than nothing. He bent down again and started reading . Kriya rolled her eyes and continued noting down. Suddenly she stiffened as she felt his chin on her shoulder. He is so engrossed , something he found interesting. And his position is not comfortable so he adjusted and settled his chin on his shoulder. She looked sidewards. His face millimeters away from her's . He was so close to her that she started breathing slow . She gulped once registering the closeness. Rey who was so engrossed casually looked at her when he noticed her so close to him. They stared at each other for few seconds and suddenly Kriya looked away and Rey flinched back.
" Mai chai leke aata hun donon keliye "he said and left as she nodded silently still not looking at him . She doesn't want to face him. Her feelings are all over her face. She doesn't want him to read those !!

" Lunch nahi hua , kam se kam dinner humare ghar mei karke jaa " he mocked at her. He knows he is acting all melodramatic, but he loved irritating her. She rolled her eyes.
" Tum ye already 5 times pooch chuke ho aur maine haa bhi boldiya !! Ab naatak band karoge? " She glared at him irritated.
"Okay! huh!! " He looked away and both giggled entering the house.
"We are back Mom... "Rey's voice died seeing Shashi. And his whole past came down all the way back in front of his eyes.
