Ok guys I know what you are thinking...oh god she is back again 🤣 but blame divya for making me write this...😆 Anyways this is every taareyians favorite song and I know after reading mere pitayi hogi but still I am writing so here it is my story based in the song mitwa.

So here it is

"Oh my god are you guys kidding me...you still haven't left home?"

Rey was on the verge of sticking his hands through the phone and strangling vicky.

"Haan Baat sun Rey...mein aur ka..."

The phone was snatched of Vicky's hand while Rey waited not so patiently .

" mein aur babu ek saath coming for taani's birthday party Rey ."

A loud high pitched voice rang from the other side of the phone. Rey recognized it as neha.

" if you guys will stop talking and leave now you guys can actually make it on time."

He literally shouted on the phone...he couldn't help it . He wanted everything to be perfect for his fianc .

"Ok dude..chillax ..can i ask you something ?by the way you are on speaker.."

Rey was really going to errupt now

"Dude are you really singing for taani today?"

He could feel his heart skip...

"Urm..ya dude...any problem?"

Rey was completely dumbfounded.

"No..no...it's just that.."

"Just what?.."

"Nothing dude nothing...ok bye dude ..we are leaving now."

With this they hurriedly hung up leaving Rey terribly nervous once again.

"Oh my god...everyone knows I am tone deaf but still why does taani insist on me singing for her...mere lagayi...I am dead...taani kyun...public mein mere band bajana chahti ho kya?"

Rey dropped on his sofa like the tragedy queen you might see in an old Hindi movie.

"But why do I love you so much,.i can't even refuse you know..."

He got up with a sudden jolt.

"Now I have to do it...I have to sing her for her...I will do it..I can do it...mujhe kuch na kuch toh karna hi padega..."

He went into a weird trance/thinking process. After about 9 minutes of intense thinking...he had come up with a plan. He ran like a black dog was chasing him to make preparations for his plan.

Taani's room:

She caressed the box which came in the mail. She just knew it was from Rey. She opened it only to see the most beautiful black saree she had ever seen. She held it up against the light to fully admire it when a note fell from it.she picked it up and read the message out loud.

"I know now you are admiring this saree but actually when you think about it the saree is just a black cloth but when you wear it will it only will this saree achieve its purpose."

She giggled out loud and blushed a deep shade of red.

"Typical Rey...still as cheesy as ever. "

She smiled looking at the note and the saree and ran off to get ready .

At the party:

The venue looked perfect just as Rey had planned it . It was a picturesque scene .the location was a open garden just as taani liked it. the trees were draped with white lights which sparkled like stars in the night sky. The entire setting was simple but elegant just like taani. everyone was admiring the place when swayam approached Rey.

" Rey dude...are you really singing?"

"Why is everyone asking me that!! Yes I am !!"

"Waoh..dude relax i was just asking...I thought that you and singing..."

" sorry dude...just get a little hyper when it comes to Taani..,"

"Dude I know you are getting married to her but she is still my sister.."

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds after which both burst out laughing.

"Oh ya I forgot..return of possessive Bhai...by the way Sharon kaha hain?"

" Sharon taani ke saath hain..they should be coming now...oh here they are..."

Rey turned around to see taani in the saree Rey had gifted her..she looked like an angel in black, the saree complimented her curves perfectly and it increased her beauty or maybe she increased the beauty of the saree. He felt his heart pounding In his ears. She was perfect and she deserved the best. He took in a deep breath and proceeded to stage. Anything for you taani.

Meanwhile taani was only searching for Rey .her eyes wanted desperately to find his face but to no avail.suddenly she heard his voice.and immediately she found herself looking at Rey on the stage with mic in his hand. She smiled to him which he he returned to her with a weird warmth she couldn't get enough of.

"Hi Guys as all of you know today is a very special day...it is taani's birthday today.!!"

A series of applause followed.

"So as per taani's request I am here to sing a song for you.."

There was a mixed reaction from the audience which made Rey even more nervous if that was even possible but one look at taani gave him the strength to continue.

"So this is the song which I think describes our love story the. Most from college to our engagement...so here it is..I love you taani and I will love you no matter what."

There was a loud applause which made Rey realized it was time to start.

Everyone grew silent...they all knew Rey was a great dancer but they never knew he was school a good singer. His voice was pitch perfect. Taani was completely surprised ..she expected Rey to sing so well. Taani was in shock.the crowd were awestruck

Everyone was enjoying the performance until the last part...Rey was repeating the lays part non stop and it looked as if his mouth was not really matching the lyrics. It was then that it struck taani..Rey was lip synching . It didnt take too long for everybody to realize it too when the music player he was using burst into flames .

Taani was furious. No furious was an understatement . She was burning in rage. She stared at a nervous Rey as everyone around her moved a few steps back in an attempt to escape from her fury.she turned around and stormed away followed not so closely by Rey.

"Taani listen..I am so sorry..I just wanted you to be happy.."

Taani turned around and faced Rey.

"Happy!! I would have been happy even if you Sang like a toad but why did you have to lie?"

" because I sing worse than a toad!"

Taani smiled momentarily but quickly whipped it off immediately but not before Rey saw it. And he just had to make use of that.

"So I am really sorry taani..but I didn't want you to suffer.."

He came closer and closer to her with every word .taani was losing her senses as he came nearer to her. She closed her eyes and inhaled his cologne which made her heart race. He was Also losing his focus and held her bare waist which made taani shiver . He pulled her towards him which resulted in her crashing into his chest. She put her arms around his shoulder as he kissed her cheek and proceeded to her kiss her lips. He was inches away from her lips when taani suddenly remembered what he did. She pushed him away and gave him a deathly glare.

"You think , you can make me forget about what you did by..seducing me...if you do than you are wrong .."

With this she walked away but stopped when she heard Rey talking not singing..not very well though

He sounded terrible ...yes he was not really great In fact he was horrible.but still she never heard someone sounding better. I guess that's what love does to you. She was deaf in love and she knew it.

When he ended she couldn't help but break into applause, she ran to him to give him a hug which Rey reciprocated happily. When they broke the hug Rey just kept staring intently at her which made her blush even more.

"Rey you were right..."

Rey put his hand on her cheek.

"You sing worse than a toad .."

Rey and taani burst into peals of laughter.

Rey engulfed taani into a hug again and he brought his lips to encase hers.she responded with the same amount of love and passion. Soon their sof kiss turned into a passionate one which lasted till they ran out of breath. They kept their foreheads stacked against each others and smiled .There and then they just knew that love had found its way.

Ok so divya this is the best I could think of according to your situation..I hope it wasn't too terrible...anyways thanks for reading guys...pls like and comment and pandas rock!!
