hi new reader, its so good to have someone new reading my story and thank u so much for liking my story.😃

Khushi was lying in bed thinking about her evening with Arnav. She had never expected her birthday to be this way. When she had gotten to know that her sister would not be available on her birthday she had thought that she would just sit at home, order some pizza and watch some Salman Khan movie but then Arnav had insisted on taking her out for dinner. She had agreed thinking it might be a normal dinner in a restaurant, but who was she kidding? How could she forget that it was Arnav Singh Raizada she was going out with and he had always made sure that whenever they go out, it would never be anything less than perfect. She had noticed how everytime they would even go out for a simple lunch after one of his meetings he would always make sure to book the whole freaking restaurant. She had always felt bad for the people working at the restaurant, they could easily earn good amount of money had the great ASR not booked the whole restaurant for just two people. She had always asked him why he had to do such things but he had always remained silent. Now when she thought about it, she realized that he was only trying to make things special for her, make her feel special. She still remembered how he had promised to take care of her and pamper her to no ends and that had always been the case since then. Yes he had yelled at her as well but she still remembers how he had made it up to her. He had taken her out for dinner, though she had refused to go out with him because she was hurt by his behavior but he had somehow convinced her saying it was a client meeting and so she had no other choice. Reaching the venue she had noticed that the whole restaurant had been empty and dark and that's when she realized that he had lied to her and had already turned back to leave but he had pleaded with her to stay and had apologized numerous times promising to never yell at her again.

She had felt extremely special that day. She had even wondered what would happen if he would take all those people, who he yelled at out for dinner, he would surely have lost all his money by now.

Her thoughts were broken when she heard the door of her room opening. She saw her sister entering her room and looked at her. Payal smiled at her.

"Well hello birthday girl! What have you been upto?" she asked sitting down beside her lying sister. Khushi pulled up the duvet to cover her face, she was going to act pricey!

"I am absolutely not interested in talking to you. Your meeting seemed more important than your only precious sisters birthday. You should have just stayed back. What was the need to even come back today, you could have taken your time and come back in a few days." She retorted.

"Oh come on Khushi, don't be angry, you know this was important." Payal replied getting into bed with her sister to cuddle her.

"Oh ofcourse your meeting was more important than me!"

"Okay fine, what can I do for you to forgive me?" Payal asked. She knew her sister only wanted attention right now.

"Oh so now you're going to bribe me, are you?" she asked, hurt laced in her voice. With time Khushi had mastered faking any emotion that the circumstances asked. It had always been this way for her. Anyone in the house who would not give her the required attention would be bound to face this.

Payal sighed, this was going to be difficult she thought. Her little baby sister had always wanted people around her and today it was her birthday, it was her right to be hurt because she was left alone.

"Khushi, I'm sorry. I know how you feel about spending time alone especially on your birthday. I know you want attention from everyone. Okay, I am ready for any punishment you plan to give me. Whatever you say, that's whats going to happen. I promise!" she said hugging Khushi.

Khushi sighed. It had been so long since she had spent some quality time with her sister. She had missed this warmth that only her sister could provide.

"Okay then you will have to spend Saturday with me. No Aakash, no work, no nothing. Only you and me." She said, eyeing her sister. Payal laughed, she knew this was coming. It had always been like this, everytime someone would ignore her they would have to spend one full day with her. No she wasn't complaining, absolutely not, infact it had always been fun on a sisters days out.

"That sounds fun. So this Saturday only you and me." She promised. "So what did you do today?" she asked changing the topic.

Khushi thought about it for a minute, she didn't like hiding things from her sister, but she was not sure about their relationship yet and so she would have to wait for the right time to tell her.

"Oh nothing much. I was home for most part of the day but had gone out for dinner with Arnav this evening." She replied, nonchalantly.

"Khushi, I have been wanting to ask you something for sometime now." Payal said, getting up to sitting on the bed.

"Whats that jiji? Is everything okay?" she asked, she noticed how her sisters voice had suddenly changed into a little hesitant.

"Is there something going on between you and Arnav? I mean I have noticed how the two of you have been spending a lot of time together. I had even spoken to Aakash about it and even he seemed a little apprehensive. He said he had noticed how Arnav seemed to be happy all the time these days and also he looked a little nervous today." She said.

Khushi took a deep breathe, it was difficult to hide things from her sister but right now it was needed.

"Jiji, you're over-thinking this. Theres absolutely nothing going on between Arnav and me, we're just very good friends. I had told him that you were not around today and he already knows how I hate staying alone so he took me out for dinner, theres nothing more to it." Khushi tried to convince Payal.

Payal was not completely convinced but she didn't want to push the matter further, she had already noticed the necklace that her sister was wearing and that was the main reason why she had spoken up about the matter. If she was not wrong then the two of them seem to be in a relationship. She didn't know what to think about this and most importantly why Khushi would hide this from her. She knew she had to give time to Khushi and she would eventually open up to her.

She turned around, tucking her little sister to bed she switched off the light and left the room. She would have to wait till Khushi decides to come and tell her.

Khushi was in bed thinking about her conversation with Jiji. She looked a little apprehensive even by the thought of her being in a relationship with Arnav and she wondered why. She had wanted to talk to jiji but decided against it, very soon she would be able to tell everyone about them, all she wanted was one incident to take place that would confirm all her doubts and maybe place their relationship on a better level.

Her thoughts were broken with the ringing of her phone, she wondered who it would be at this time. Picking up the phone from the nightstand she looked at it and noticed it was Arnav. She picked up the call.

"Hello." She said

"Hi love." she heard him say and blushed. She was not used to being called by such names and especially not by her khadoos boss. She giggled at the thought of how she had to go and fall in love with such an arrogant person.

"Whats wrong? Why are you laughing?" he had heard her giggling and wondered what had happened suddenly.

"I was just thinking how I fell in love with a person like you." She replied.

"Hey, what do you mean by that?" he asked already a little offended bt what was going to come.

"Well you're so khadoos and arrogant while I'm so sweet, nice, bubbly, innocent, cute, adorable'" she started to praise herself only to be stopped by him, "Okay, okay I get it. I know you love yourself more than anything else in the whole world, but that doesn't mean that you're going to call me kadoos and plus when have I been rude to you? I'm extremely hurt Khush." he said, pouting.

"Aww, my baccha, I'm sorry. I know you're not rude to me but that doesn't mean you aren't rude to anyone. Infact, on second thoughts, leaving your family and me I don't think theres anyone else who you're not rude to." She said thinking hard to find anyone else who he was ever nice to.

"Oh come on, you make me look like a sadistic monster."

"Well, I don't know, you might just be one. We will have to find that out now, won't we?" she gave an evil grin.

"Ah, yes looks like that's what we would have to do" he smiled.

They continued talking till Khushi realized that it was almost midnight and she was very tired. They were going to begin working on the upcoming fashion show tomorrow and the first thing they would have to do was meeting the hormonal, moody models, and she didn't like that one bit.

She put herself to bed thinking about Arnav and everything that had happened in the past few weeks and how it had absolutely changed her life.

The next morning Arnav was in a hurry as he had a lot of work, starting with his meeting with the models. He was coming down the stairs when he saw his di and nani having a very intense conversation. He started walking past them when he heard his di call him.

"Chottey could you come and sit with us for a few minutes?" she asked

"Sure di, is everything okay?" he said, going to sit next to her.

"Chottey," she hesitated, "what did Khushi say last night?" she asked.

Arnav had absolutely forgotten that his di and nani knew about his proposal. He remembered how Khushi had not wanted to tell anyone about their relationship yet and so he would not tell them. He had never hidden anything from his sister but today he had to do it, he wanted Khushi to have some space because knowing his family, if they would ever get to know that they were dating, they would not let her live in peace, starting with her being called home day after day, questioning her about them to blackmailing them into getting married. He knew Khushi wanted space to get to know him better and wanted a chance to develop their relationship on her pace and so he decided to not tell his family about them just yet. He would wait till she comes around and agrees on telling everyone.

He saw at his di and nani looking at him curiously when they heard him say, "Di, nani, Khushi wants some time right now. She says shes not ready to be in a relationship." He said giving as little information he could provide. He saw both their faces fall but recover as quickly as possible. He had seen how they didn't want to show him that they were not pleased with the reply but he had caught it anyway.

"Oh, that's okay. We understand. It fine. We will wait for her decision" he heard his nani say. He smiled at them, assuring that she would come around soon.

He had just reached office when he noticed how chaotic the office had become in just one day. For once everyone seemed to be engrossed in their work. He looked around, searching for Khushi and saw her in one corner of the office talking to one of the staff. He waited for her to notice him but when she didn't he took out his phone and texted her.

Khushi heard her phone ring, indicating that she had received a text. She took out her phone and noticed it was from Arnav. Opening the message she read,

"Hey Khush, Good Morning." She had an instant smile crossing her lips before she texted back.

"Hi Arnav, Good Morning. Why aren't you here yet?" Arnav read the text and smiled.

"Looks like someones eager to meet me"

"No that's not it. I was just wondering where you were. Its already time for the models to arrive" she replied walking down to her office when she hit something hard. She looked up to see Arnav smiling down at her. She smiled back and said,

"What are you doing here? I mean I thought you weren't here yet!"

"Well, if you're going to be so busy looking and talking to other people how will you notice my arrival." he asked cocking an eyebrow.

"Hmm, that's true. Anyway why don't you go in while I get you your coffee." She said.

"Ah yes, I think that's a perfect idea, thank you." he said gently pecking her lips before he turned back to leave for his cabin.

Outside his cabin Khushi had gone into shock, she couldn't believe he would kiss her in front of the whole office. So what if it was just a mere peck and they were in a secluded area, he couldn't just kiss her like that. What would happen if someone would have seen them? She didn't know what to say to him and so decided to just make him his coffee.

10 minutes later Khushi had just reached outside his office with his coffee. She was used to entering his office without permission and so did just that. She walked in only to stop in her tracks. What she saw in front of her shocked her to no extent.

There he was standing with a girl in his arms.

u honestly cant do that to me !!! ... well guess what I have my revenge planned for tomo ... u are so gonna wish that u hadnt stopped ur update at such a place and left us all dying !! wait for tomo !! 😡 😉

such a beautiful well written update... so happy to see arnav so understanding...am sure its a wannabe model who came and threw herself at Arnav and poor Khushi walked in at the wrong time !!! 😕
