Wow...

You know I have many a times tried and failed to reason what it was about the show that made a place in my heart, that I'm crazy about it even after all this time.

Your words and the distinctive style in which you paint these scenes makes me think... makes me feel... you have managed to portray the intricacies and shades of the characters so brilliantly. Perhaps we all noticed and felt this consciously or subconsciously, perhaps these nuances are what pulled me in...but you have managed to capture the essence of it in your words so subtly yet beautifully.

I don't have any words that can do justice to your writing, but to me, you have done complete justice to the rendition of this scene!

Every single word you used in this chapter from the beginning to the end were absolutely magnificent. I thought what a great opening paragraph knowing that this series was going to be filled with angst or pain. You simply blew me away with the range of emotions and conflicts that you used to describe Arnav's plight. That was a brilliant episode and for me there is one line n that episode that he said that stood out as it was the first time he was exposing his vulnerability about them, his insecurities about their future as he did not control this anymore regardless of the contract. It was when he said "will you simply give up on us? Will it be this easy for you?" .

Having said that, I love the way you exposed the contradicting feelings raging in Him. about how he used her and she still was a wife, how now he will use any means to keep her when she is giving up. I love these lines you wrote : "He wondered idly if this is the primary difference between them - he had come to call it marriage while she insisted on calling it a contract. Yet, she was more wifely with him that he was her husband in last few months. What she practiced, he preached. Never in sync and always imbalance.

In this imbalance they found their synchronicity. In between crevices of his punctured heart and shattered hope, she had made her home with easy and familiarity only she could muster."

RB, this is probably the one that will stand out for me in this series. Who says angst cannot be this good? It does not necessarily have to be about suffering and Rhona dhona, it can be a way of fighting through the pain to get to the light. I am with Meera, thie word angst is very badly used and interpreted in the world of Indian serials.

I also love the fault tree analysis given all the training and practise I have in mapping problems and going back to their roots. Makes me think of an Ishikawa. Somehow I always associate it with the business world but it is a lot more effective in dealing with personal issues.

Yes..u nailed the emotions and put it in words that wounds the heart. Yes, her indifference will be his death. He will never be able to stand it. He can fight her words and anger but not her indifference. Their life up to that point can be summed up as:

"- he had come to call it marriage while she insisted on calling it a contract. Yet, she was more wifely with him that he was her husband in last few months. What she practiced, he preached. Never in sync and always imbalance."

If I may make some suggestions...

The scene after Diwali-almost-kiss...

Arnav finding out about Khushi's engagement

I think both scenes are somewhat similar in the sense that they broke certain dreams bordering on delusions...for Khushi and Arnav.

I would really like to read your perception of it, if and when you feel inclined to do so :)

Beautifully expressed angst, RB.

loved how you described his love for her as cancerous.

For it is so true.

He doesnot want a Khushi who is indifferent to him.

Even her hate is better than the indifference.
