Hmmm... I don't know.. whenever I hear redemption, my hackles go up. Never was a fan of that word nor for the implications of it. But I'll give this one a try. For you!
Okay... Firstly.
This SS won't be VERY long. MAXIMUM 10 Chapters only.
Secondly, I don't know if you guys will like it, cuz I'm not gonna make it TOOO dramatic. With 'filth' out of the way, I decided to make it slightly light with little nok-jhoks and stuff...

Chapter 1 ~ A Yellowey Surprise -_-
It was a brand new day, and a fresh start for many in the Raizadas household. Arnav was looking forward to redeeming himself and his love for Khushi. Khushi, though she didn't know it, would begin a life where Arnav would love her like never before. Akash and Payal were at peace knowing that there was no misconception between their respective siblings. Anjali would begin life without a cheat of a husband, safely behind bars.
Ashish felt his angst go down, now that he had avenged his parents and the death of his wife; he was happy with his sister and daughter. The only thing pending though, was avenging his sister. He would avenge his sister's pain of course, but in a slightly 'hatke' manner. His brother-in-law, at the moment, was being a man of the heart, and he would make sure to use that to his benefit. He wouldn't try to separate his sister from him, for he grudgingly admitted to himself that she loved Arnav. BUT he would try to make it a biggg challenge for Arnav to win her back, for he knew the love that his sister had for him, would make her soft-hearted and forgive him easily, which he didn't deserve of course. He may deserve forgiveness, but not a quick one!
Ashish a man on a mission.
He saw Arnav come towards him and waited. The glazed look on his face told Ashish that he was planning something.
"Hey Ashish, what is Khushi's favorite color?" Arnav asked thoughtfully.
Arnav didn't see the twinkle in Ashish's eyes, as he was lost in thoughts.
Maybe Green! No, no! I just LOVED it when she wore green that day.
Red? No, that's MY favorite!
Ashish looked at Arnav, who was lost in thoughts.
Favorite Color…
"Yellow, yellow dirty fellow sitting on a buffalo with a big fat yellow pillow!" Amit, Akshay and Payal sang as 13-year-old Khushi came out wearing yellow dress and a beautiful little scowl on her face.
"Shut up! You know I hate yellow!" Khushi yelled angrily.
Payal giggled. "Why Khushi? Yellow is sunshine and sunflowers and-"
"-And mangoes… " Ashish added.
"…And Cinderella's hair…" Muskaan giggled.
Khushi made a straight face -.- "AND a dehydrated human being's pee." She said with her mouth turned up in disgusted expression.
Everyone fell silent at once, staring at Khushi with wide eyes and a moment later, burst out laughing.
Akshay rasped amid laughter. "Your darling jalebis are yellow too you know!"
Khushi sniggered. "The ones that I love are ORANGE in color."
Ashish turned to Arnav and smiled. "She likes yellow."
"Yellow?" Arnav asked doubtfully.
"Yeah." Ashish said.
Arnav thanked Ashish and headed towards Khushi, while Ashish put his hands in his pocket and went into the living room whistling.
*
Everyone frowned at Arnav when he requested Khushi to stay down for half an hour. His explanation was that Arnav had kept some important files and papers all over the place, and he knew that Khushi would start cleaning as she was a neat-freak and in her condition it wasn't a very good thing, while Khushi looked at him like he was crazy and tried to recollect any day when she was going off her head about 'cleanliness'.
As Arnav walked upstairs, he noticed his family's incredulous expression and cringed.
That was the most ridiculous excuse you could've found, Arnav. Way to go ASR!
*
Half an hour later, an excited Arnav was leading a curious Khushi upstairs to their room, followed by an equally curious family.
Arnav opened the door and saw Khushi's eyes go wide and the family staring at the scene in front of them. Amidst the staring people, a muffled giggle was being heard too-Payal/
Payal stared wide-eyed at the yellow decorations. Of all the colors Arnavji could have picked!
The look on Khushi's face made her laugh even more. She knew the shock was not the pleasant kind.
She saw Akash staring at her with a 'you-mad' look.
"Uh, Akash Khushi hates yellow…" she whispered, giggling.
Akash's eyes widened as he looked around the entire room in an entirely different perspective… From the perspective of someone who hates yellow.
"Uh-oh" he muttered, he himself dying to laugh. "Why?" he asked Payal.
The question made Payal turn red and laugh even more. "Sh-She thinks it's the color of a dehydrated man's pee…"
Akash stared for a moment, before his hand flew to his mouth and he began to laugh as well.
Khushi walked in with wide eyes. "How did you-"
*Muffled giggle*
"Arnav Singh Raizada can get anything done!" he smirked.
*Muffled guffaw*
Ashish almost guffawed at this one, while Payal was beginning to giggled.
"Ahann…" Khushi said walking into the room.
She looked around the room. "Very er, nice Arnavji. Yellow gossamer, yellow satin, yellow marigolds and…. Red roses?" she turned to him. "Why the sudden change in the theme…?"
Arnav stepped closer to her. "Yellow roses signify brotherhood and friendship you know. Red is for love…" he cupped her face and stroked her cheek with his thumb.
*many giggles*
Khushi blinked at him, trying to clear her suddenly muddled head when she heard some throat-clearing behind her.
She backed away suddenly. "People are watching!" she squeaked, while the rest of the family sniggered and smirked.
*open laughter*
Ashish was red in the face. The nerve of the man! He is romancing my sister in front of me!
"You liked it?" he asked.
"Yeah. It is very yellowey… and nice…" she said, still looking around.
*muffled giggle*
"Who the heck is that!" Arnav asked exasperated.
Everyone turned and looked at Payal, who was looking sheepish and at who Ashish was staring with amusement.
"Uh, it is all so romantic…" she said, and began to giggle again.
"Well, what the heck is funny about it!" Arnav asked, annoyed.
"UH…. Well…." She looked at Khushi who was shaking her head vigorously and began laughing again.
Akash looked at her and shook his head. He turned to Arnav's confused and annoyed face and said with a sheepish smile. "It must be the hormones Bhai…" :D
Then he ushered Payal out of there, while Ashish excused himself and left. Soon everyone left.
Khushi was still staring around the room.
"Uh, who gave you the idea of the er… color?"
"Ashish did. He told me its your favorite."
Khushi turned around. "WHAT! BHAIYYA said that?!"
"Er yeah…" he said unsurely.
She narrowed her eyes. "Are you absolutely positively su-re you are not lying?"
"Yeah!" he said crossly.
She muttered something incoherent and went to change in the bathroom. Arnav made out one phrase 'Men and their strange ideas!'
*
That night, he begged Khushi to sleep on the bed. He was drinking a glass of water before sleeping, and 'accidentally' spilt it on the recliner.
He sighed dramatically. "Guess I'd have to sleep on the floor today."
Khushi looked at him and then at the now dark-green recliner. "You won't be able to sleep on the floor…" she said.
"Why not!" he asked indignantly.
"Because you are too high and mighty for it!" she snapped.
"Well, what do I do then?" he asked sarcastically.
"Guess we'll have to share the bed today." She muttered grudgingly. "You stick to your side, and I'll stick to mine!"
With that, she fell back on the pillows and turned to face the wall.
Arnav smiled smugly and slipped into the bed next to her.
*
Khushi kept her eyes wide open, afraid that she might snuggled up to him at night. After two hours, she felt a hand snake around her waist and she turned slightly to see Arnav smiling in his sleep, and pulling her close to him.
She stared at his face, and stroked his cheek with her thumb.
She looked at his hands around her stomach… Her empty stomach. She hadn't even felt her child move!
Her eyes felt wet. She turned back to the wall, and gripped the hands around her stomach tightly and cried into her pillow softly.
