pART 15 HIS LITTLE PRIDE.. - WHEN ASR FELL ASLEEP
Summary of previous chapter! Arnav finally manages to put princess to sleep. .. however khushi teases him and demands for her to be pampered by his too and he obliges as she sleeps on his lap holding his finger while princess holds his other hand... Talking sweet nothings khushi falls asleep without realizing and Arnav freezes himself in the sitting position all night adoring his angels sleep peacefully... the rest continued!Khushi entered to find arnav already getting ready... She smiled as she placed the tray on the side table and walked up to him as she helped him put her coat on
" your hands don hurt na" she asked as she remembered his position all night
He turned with a smile adoring his face as he shaked his head
"Where is princess ?" he asked his eyes scanning the room to get a glimpse of his little darling
" With di" khushi replied as they walked down together
Arnav and Akash took their place as they saw Anjali happily smiling away making faces at Aashi...
' does she even understand ?" arnav asked as he saw anjali explaining some story to Aashi
" harey bhai.. when she can understand deals why not?" akahs teased earning a sarcastic smirk from arnav
" Are you not well chotey?" nani asked seeing his eyes all tired
" no na naniji.. he looks perfect" khushi concluded not wanting them to know her tantrum tortures last nite as Arnav smiled
" we will be late nani" akash informed as the brothers gt up to leave with payal goign with akash to the door
" di..." arnav said walking to his princess and sister..
he went on his knees as he carried princess who was looking at him her eyes open wide
"good day" he whispered in his husky voice bending down to drop feather kisses on her cheeks
princess wriggled her hands swaying in the air
" bye di" he smiled sheepishly as his sister who was staring at her new chotey .. a father...
" arnavjii" khushi called as he was about to leave and finding none around quickly raised on her toes kissing his cheeks leaving him shocked at her sudden display
" for last night " she whispered he tucked her strand of hair behind he rears and walked with a smile...
" Akash you drive na?" he said as Akash looked at him as if Arnav ahs something weird... arnav felt his head lightly heavy and din wanna take chances...
" what?" he asked as Akash took the keys from Arnav quietly taking his place in the drivers area shaking his head in disbelief
" woh bhai the singhania group of industries has already send the tender.. it has to be decided on counter partnership basis.. so if you can" Aksh continued but suddenly stopped not hearing any response ...
He turned and hsi eyes almost popped out from their skeletal positions ...
Arnav had his hands on his head his elbow resting on the window pane...
Akash panicked... was bhai having a sugar attack.." bhaiii" he shook Arnav as he parked the car along the side
" yeaahhh" said arnav snapping his eyes open as they revealed beneath his lids RED colored corneas...
" bhai i guess your not okay. we need to go to the doc " Akash spoke as Arnav cut him off " Akash... i am fine... just that i was a bit tired " arnav excused himself resting his poor brothers panics to bay
' But bhai" akash spoke as arnav stressed again " i am fine.. arent we getting late!"
Akash knew there was no point arguing with the ASR and he din want his bhai turn ASR right here... He silently drove the car to AR and the brothers left to their respective cabins...
Aman was quickly fetching the pending printouts... he panicked as his watch was already telling him he was running 10 mins late and ASr would spam his phone any minute now! its just luck that it still din begin...
Taking the last print out and not even bothering to shut down he took the fleet of stairs stapling the sheets on the way and halted a inch before the Cabin door of ASR...
The sign board showed ASR was in.. clock was showing 15 mins late.. he knew his day was doomed for a fact...
He brought his raising chest gasping for breaths to rest... puffed out some air out of his lungs.. adjusted the shirt and finally knocked...
knock knock...
there was no response... was he dreaming... Arnav was in... he could see the board and even the Secretary had informed
knock knock he again tried...
Had the meeting already begun that his knocks were ignored wondered poor Aman as the sweat drops peaked out from his pores as he ran his kerchief drying his face...
Akash walked up as it was time and was suprised to find Aman outside Arnav's cabin
" Harey Aman are you punished?" akahs teased not knowing poor Amans state..
" woh.. sir ASR din respond.. its been 15 mins i am here already...
" what?" akash was shocked as his hands knocked the cabin door to not gain any response.. even the screens were not open like usually they would be...
he opened the door swiftly " bh.." his voice trailed into silence at the sight before him...
Arnav was sitting with his fingers pressed against his face his elbows supported by the table and his eyes closed peacefully!
Aman peeped over Akash's shoulder and almost felt his files slip away...
" sir sir is sleeping" aman asked astonished
Akash raised his finger to his lips as he closed the door softly and whispered to Aman " its daddy sleeping... "
Aman let out a chuckle mentally thanking Arnav's princess...
" you cancel the meetings scheduled till afternoon andi shall sign the remaining papers said Akash as he finished arnav's work too...
He went in to Arnav's cabin after about 2 hours to find Arnav in the same position
A smile appeared on Akash's face as he remembered Arnav all awake and sharp throwing orders in this cabin... the only while the cabin was silent was when the office was closed...
He silently clicked a pic of arnav sleeping and saved it in his phone...
He walked closer and adjusted the AC to blow slightly better and pulled the hiding layer of curtains darkening the room and walked out tip toeing and before leaving changed the signboard to DO NOT DISTURB and asked a security to stay outside Arnav's cabin and left to his...
" sach" squealed Anjali as Akash narrated what happened and also mailed the pic... Anjali couldn't help but smile as nani and payal walked to her and all started chuckling seeing the pic!
" chotey has grown " they all concluded finally
Khushi walked in finding them crowded and before she could see anjali quickly closed the laptop
" dii what are you hiding /" khushi asked curious
" oh o khushi bitiya i was about to say something important " nani said saving the moment
" why dont Anjali and payal bitiiya take lunch for Akash and chotey.. thye wont be coming right? and i forgot and made their fav" nani exclaimed with a frown as payal exchanged a silent glance at Anjali
" haan nani.. ok" khushi said as Anjali and payal got the lunch and walked out...

Meanwhile Arnav got up As his hand slipped and was surprised at the darkness surrounding him
" what the" he exclaimed at the closed curtains increased AC and a juice glass on the table...
His next shock was when the clock showed 11 am...
" dammit its been 3 hours " he realized as he quickly opened the curtains revealing his Glass Cabin
" Aman to my room now" he barked into the phone
" Akash" arnav looked up to find his brother entering the room with a mischievous smile
" good morning bhai" Akash said as arnav twisted his lips " so it was you!'
" bhai i have shifted the meetings to tomo... btw guess your night was eventful/" akash teased more knowing the lion was sleepy today
" I bet you wouldnt have been off your bed if you were me " said arnav with a straight face
" so everything is cancelled
!" arnav confirmed with Akash
and once Akash nodded he was up and " so meet you at home"
' your going somewhere bhai" akash asked curious
" hmmm yaaa... A client to be met" arnav excused himself and left
" what!!" anjali and payal exclaimed knowing arnav left before they arrived...

" chotey home so soon" nani exclaimed rocking little Aashi in her hands
" woh.. i left a file to be worked on at home nani" arnav said as he came near and lifted princess...
" whre is khushi?" he asked as nani hid her chuckles and informed him she was in their room...
he picked up a smiling AASHI and walked up the stairs...
He stood at the door as he saw khushi kissing his pic by their bed side... A smile crept on his face as his husky tone took over " i am hereee"
' arnavjiii" khushi got up almost dropping the frame
they settled as Arnav told her what happened his hands still swaying in his princess hold
" i slept off khushi in the office " he said his eyes lookign like a kid caught eating choclates
Khushi burst out laughing..." you slept in the office"
" its not funny dammit" arnav barked at ehr as she still kept laughing
" its because of you" he said pointing his finger to her
" arnavjiii its because of princess too na" khushi reminded
" noo what did she do.. who was sleeping on my lap" arnav reminded
" so ur supporting her now" khushi said pouting
" Khushi its a fact" arnav spoke again
" acha okay okay.. don get angry..we will go and eat now and you can sleep after that she said as she got up taking Aashi
" where are you taking her?" he frowned
" arnavji its lunch time for her " khushi informed
" hmm... khushi will you get my lunch to the room.. you can feed her as i eat" arnav said as khushi nodded and left the room
" laad governor sleeping.. wah... how i wished i worked there " she exclaimed as she served Arnav's pate talking to herself..
She walked in to find arnav on the bed both his hands holding Aashi's fingers and swaying and laughing away
" wasnt he supposed to be tired " she wondered at the active father
" so you can eat now " khushi said as she walked in
As khushi fed Aashi Arnav quietly had his food taking glances at the mother daughter duo
" when will she start eating like us?" arnav asked softly
" hmm 4 months more arnavji.. shes just 2 months now" khushi said
" its so different khushi... i mean i ever imagined i would sleep at my office " arnav confessed a smile on his face as he walked out of the rest room after washing his hands
" its coz you have never been a father before " khushi said with a smile
" She my kid... she will grow up to call me dad.. look up to me... heyna" he asked as khushi nodded
" She would find me boring na.. like you always say?" he asked with a baby worry his lines in his forehead crunching in doubt
" Arnavji she knows her dad is the best" khushi said as Aashi finally finished feeding and she placed Aashi in the cot in between them
" really" arnav asked as khushi smiled
" I will never leave her like my dad left us khushi" arnav said as his eyes went moist and khushi was dumbstruck at his sudden outburst
" i will be by her side... always... i will give her everything and i will ensure nobody hurts her.. everrr" arnav said seriously as khushi adored him as he bent down kissing a smiling Aashi on her nose as she hit his face cutely with her tiny palms wiping the tears that rolled down his cheeks..
He held little fingers of princess pressing his lips on them softly as she smiled along with him and khushi smiled seeing how blessed she was...
" Sleep arnavjii,,,, you must be tired " khushi reminded
" or aashi" he asked his gaze shifting to his daughter
" i will take her downstairs... she just got up and wont sleep now" khushi said as she reached to aashi
" naa... i am here na... i rarely get time... i will call you if she is sleepy... you do your work " arnav said as he lifted aashi " lets talk princess" and walked to the poolside talking sweet nothings to her ...
Its True a father forgets everything when he sees the smile of his daughter... Now even ASR cant be an exception to that!

looking back we all will have moments when our tired fathers walk back home and the minute we demand their presence along with us they put that bright smile siding away their worries to do it for us! may be we never thanked them for that ... but lets just try and send silent thank you to them... blessed is a daughter !! afterall we will always be our Daddy's princess!
