Upstairs to his cabin…leaving behind a much shaken hall of employees…..

"may I come in? sir?" asked aman as he stood half shivering at the door of ASR's cabin… how he hated his job at times…..

"what is it??" asked arnav clearly not wanting to be disturbed…

"sir… mr gupta is here…. I gave him an appointment an hour later but I dunno how he ended up here an hour early and the file still needs a lot of work… " said aman trying to list out all possible problems….

"great!" said arnav clearly angry at mr. gupta stupid time sense….

"what do we do now??" arnav asked as if it were all aman's mistake….

"well sir…." Said aman as he slowly tried to get ASR accept his plan… "I have an idea…. Sir if you could keep mr. gupta engrossed in loose talk and keep his attention away from the deal.. I'll go down and try to fasten the process.. I'll ensure its done in 15 minutes…" said aman waiting to hear ASR's denial….

"loose talk?? Me?? FIFTEEN MINUTES??? Are you off your mind aman??? " arnav snarled….

" pah…. I am NOT gonna do anything like that!!" he added as he turned away…..

"well sir mr. gupta is here…. Down stairs unless you have another plan…. You gotta do it…" said aman

"NEVER!!" arnav repeated and motioned him out of the room….

~~~~~~~***********5 minutes later**********~~~~~~~~~~~~

"so Mr. Gupta….." addressed arnav " how are you? Hows your health?" he added with a very fake smile…. He had to keep mr gupta engrossed in loose talk for the next 15 minutes…

Mr. gupta was quite surprised to hear arnav singh raizada speak about anything but deals…

" surprised you should ask…" said mr gupta as he took his seat… " I am fit as a fiddle for an old man!" said mr gupta with a smile…

"great couldn't he have some health problem and stay at home and not doom my life like this???" thought arnav frustrated but all he managed to do was smile meekly at mr gupta…

"hows family?" arnav asked desperate to keep the conversation going mr. gupta was not helping at it at all…..

"good…." Said mr gupta with a clearly suspicious expression… " its my younger daughter khushi's birthday today.. so have been quite busy… you know we are having a party and I have no idea what to gift her.. uski bas chaltha toh she'd get soft toys soft toys and soft toys….. but I am planning something big this year… " said mr gupta

" you have a party at home and still decide to come here and ruin my life??" thought arnav mockingly " why cant you go back home and buy your spoilt little kid 'soft toys'? "

But again he did not speak his mind…..

"khushi.. nice name…" said arnav even though that was the last thing he thought about that name… that was the only thing he could tell mr. gupta other than give him a piece of advice that soft toys are just junk…. going by what he said he made a pretty smart choice about the "nice name"

Khushi?? Seriously pah…. Does not have one bit of seriousness in that name I wonder where mr. gupta was when they gave his daughter that name… arnav thought

"well mr raizada… that brings me to my purpose of visit here… I –" started mr gupta

"oh right mr gupta the deal… just give me a second I'll call for the documents as I see you are an hour early you cought us a bit umm… unprepared…" said arnav as he punched into the phone…

"oh no!! mr. raizada!!" said mr gupta as he tried to stop him from dialing anything…

"do not worry I did not come here for the deal… " sadi mr gupta with a smile…

"then why on EARTH are you here??" arnav was tempted to ask but he managed a less rude "then??"

" you see I told you I am having a party back home today and would be real pleased if you'd attend it-

"noways" muttered arnav

"pardon?" mr gupta looked at him… "nothing!"' said arnav with another big fake smile….

"as I was telling you it'd be real nice if you attend it I have invited a few other business partners of mine as I shall be revealing something about our new deal there…." Said mr gupta

The word deal caught arnav's attention why on earth would mr. gupta want to reveal something about their deal as his five year old daughter's party?? He thought…

"the deal?" arnav asked

"yes I cant reveal much please be there…" said mr gupta " pardon me for now I have to leave ill reschedule the meeting time for tomorrow " said mr gupta as he walked out

Leaving behind a very cross and a muttering arnav singh raizada….

"and by the way" said mr gupta as he looked back… "the colour theme is purple khushi is adamant on that!" said mr gupta as he marched down stairs leaving behind a now open mouthed, fuming arnav singh raizada…..

"gosh!! Hahahahaa!!!seriously!!hahahaaa!!so sad chotte!!!" said Anjali as she tried to get a few words out of her mouth as she was engulfed in a fit of laughter!!

"mr. gupta really said that?? Oh god hahaahahaha!!!" she laughed again as she cluched herself to stop

'di could you stop it??" asked arnav as he ate his lunch he had made the next big mistake by telling his di…. Who had not been of much help as she had een laughing ever since she heard the entire thing….

"so chotte…. What present do you want me to buy?" asked Anjali as she calmed down a little of sorts still giggling…

" any nonsense…. Get her some….. whats' that called?? Yup teddy bear or any nonsense I don't give a damn" arnav anounced as he walked away his di running around him…

"have you met her??" asked Anjali

"no."

"do you know what she likes?"

"no."

"do you know how old she is?"

"no."

"do you-"

"di seriously.. you have to buy a damn present not write a composition or something…" said arnav looking at his di in a very matter-of-factly….

"but chotte you don't know how old she is!! She could be as old as you for all you know!!" Anjali reasoned.

"di… I can guess someones age knowing very little about them kay? She must be around five or six I cant be wrong" said arnav totally not interested..

"what reasons?" asked Anjali

"her name is khushi…. She celebrates her birthday… she likes soft toys… and the colour code is PURPLE!! How many people of my age act like that??" arnav asked Anjali…

"if you are so… sure then fine…" said Anjali as she walked out with a pout…

" and by the way arnav…" said Anjali as she turned back…

"what are you going to wear??" she asked as she burst into a fit of laughter and bent down neatly avoiding a pillow from arnav…..

"workers go wonky….

Client acts weird….

Attend a kids birthday party…

Dress code purple…

Irritating sister….

Can this day get ANY worse??? " thought arnav as he looked up…..

Arnav must have phrased his sentence better because life seemed to have taken it as a challenge to make things as worse as possible…. Judging by the events that are to happen…..
