Chapter 4

What the hell?...he's doing it again!... he is totally spacing out on me!...while I stand here like a buffoon, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada apparently has more important places to be in his head!...i am sure thinking about that Ruby…..laad governor!

And with that thought a naughty glint entered her eyes, if Arnav was not busy contemplating on the exact moment he had fallen in love he probably would have recognized the approaching danger, but alas luck was not on his side and he was brought out of his thoughts by a jug of ice cold water mercilessly poured on his head.

"What the!..." Arnav said in voice that was more angry than surprised at the sudden attack.

"Oh?...now do I have your attention Mr. Raizada?" Khushi said in a sing song voice with a huge smile plastered on her face.

Payal Gupta was furious. Waiting in a caf for the last fifty three minutes and forty seconds had not been an easy job, especially with all the waiters breathing down her neck.

They probably think I am some stupid moron who got stood up!... I am going to kill Akash, and then feed his corpse to the …..

"Madam your espresso" the waiter said breaking Payals chain of thoughts. As Payal reached for her wallet the waiter giving her a sympathetic look and said "It's on the house madam"

Payal Gupta with a jolt realized she was being offered pity espresso, and thus it was official Akash Raizada was a dead man.

Having completed her masters in economics as early as she had and then landing a job in one of the best companies in the city, Khushi considered herself to be a fairly intelligent woman. Hence when she saw a dripping Arnav taking predatory steps towards her she knew this was her queue to run.

"Not so fast Gupta….." and before she could take one step towards the door she was effortlessly hauled up on to Arnavs shoulder, In Khushis head she resembled a potato sack right about now.

"Leave me you jerk..or..or ill scream bloody murder!" Khushi wailed while continuously hitting her fists on Arnavs back as he made his way towards his attached bathroom.

"I would like to see you try sweet heart" Arnav spoke in an arrogant voice. And before she knew it she was standing under the shower with Arnavs hand on the shower knob. To Khushi, it seemed as if Arnav was about to pull the trigger to a gun pointing at her.

"Any last words?" He said with a smirk.

"Arnav no…please don't!...i just did my makeup!" she pleaded finding no other escape. But one look at his growing smile and she knew she would not be spared today.

"shit.shit.shit.shit……." Akash kept repeating the words like some mantra in his head, as if hoping they would save him from what he knew was coming his way.

He barged into the caf and screamed "Payal" out loud gaining the attention of all the occupants looking at him wide eyed. For a few seconds everyone went still when a young girl looking quit scared got up from her seat and said a very soft and hesitant 'yes', everyone's gaze shifted from Akash to the girl and then back again waiting for the drama to unfold.

Akash looked confused for a moment before it dawned on him that the girls name was also probably Payal.

Shaking his head Akash said "Oh no, not you I am looking for some other payal"

The girl looked so relieved that it seemed as if she had been spared the death sentence.

"I am looking for a girl, fair, beautiful eyes, long hair….?" Akash asked out loud.

A fat man sitting at the corner table having lunch which seemed to be enough for ten people gave Akash a mock sympathetic look and said "My boy, all of us are looking for that girl, if you find her do let me know" to which everyone broke out in laughter.

Akash gritted his teeth and left the caf, it was just not his day, and probably my last as well.

There was just one thing left to do, he took out his cell phone typed 'emergency meeting now' and send it to all four numbers.

amazing.. loved it...but wat about khushi..does she love arnav...it wolud be nice if u give an update on her pov..
