Shit this was perturbing !!

Please send her off somewhere Jenny where she can be looked after and cared for like a child needs to be rather than a wife and a daughter in law of the house! disgusting!
I dont want her be anywhere near Arnab as well! He lost that admiration .. when set his foot into the street...
Arnab's a human afterall! quite palpable his case! but i thought he will help her grow under his care.. but this is totally opposite !
So he would go find solace in other women now? *Sigh* its a shame it had come down to this!
It felt saw sickeningly raw when he says he needs a women in his room not a child... *shudder*

I really cant have Khushi to be facing the wrath of this either! She is a child and ought to be treated so... Cant wait for her to grow into a beautiful houri in his absence... and then lets see what he has to say or do...

lets see what you got up your sleeves after this!

Superb story, superb update! You have so captured the essence of that era! The constant duel between so brit-influenced and snobbish elders of the British Raj, educated and free-spirited youth who strived to bring in the reforms, progress and of course the freedom. Also the oppressed women that were unaware of their plight.
I so love your Arnav who sees the sense and takes every step to walk the path he believes in. I can see Khushi caught up in the crossfire of the olden and the new waves. It's touching to see how you evolve her from a doll-clutching kid to an adolescent and finally to a lady. I think the maturity was thrown on the girls then to shoulder it way early. Hats off to you dear for pulling this all so amazingly. I hope Arnav will try and stick to being sensible against all the things that have been suddenly thrust upon him :)

this was bound to happen sooner or later
what with him being disillusioned and all
he would go to such places eventually
but am happy to see that khushi isnt giving up on him either
awww in his anger he broke he heart
but then his frustration had to come out in some form or the other
dont think it will be easy for these two
so khushi and her dewar get along fine what being of similar age and all
hmmm so what now

I thought Arnav in this story is very idealistic, but he is also human, has some faults. Considering his principles and ideals I think he would regret his decision at one point, even if he pursues courtesans for the time being.

I really felt bad for Khushi, in old times( upto some extend in India now also) girls are brought up to become a good wife & mother, their entire world revolves around husband & family. So the young Khushi wants to be accepted by her husband, what will the rejection by Arnav do to her ? What will the conservative family do with a bride who is rejected by her husband ? Is there any ray of hope for poor Khushi ? who will protect her love her and cherish her ? May be in reality majority of the women in India went through this phase, living to maintain the house hold, satisfy husband and produce children.

this series is soo beautiful...

Oh..jenny... I dont know what to write...
I just want to help those two poor souls...
But the last few sentences...really broke me...i really dont want him to end up like this... What will khushi feel when she know this...may be not now...she is so innocent now...
I felt bad hearing her question to thammi... She was feeling helpless... But her emotions were different from arnav...
I dont know what to wish...

I am just thanking god... For having born now... Still there r parts were all these stupidies continue... I just hope all these evil social practices will end soon completly...
