she is just a kid ...so innocent...at the age of playing with the toys.poor girl is taught to become a wife😲..child marriage is such a social evil...looking forward to arnav's decisions abt how to take this forward..

Jen, i love this story.

I love it when you write stories with a historical background.

It isincredible that domeone xho has not visited India since years writes so well about different regions of India and stories depicting certain instances in India's past

Love the fact that you have touched upon the subject of child marriage.

Love the Grandmother. She is so sweet.

Love the comparison between a young untouched Khushi and her doll.

I'm in love with this story, Jen.

Aw... Jen, I loved this chapter! And I'm slowly...chapter by chapter falling in love with this story.

The thing I love about your writing is that I feel an instant connection with the characters. It makes whatever you write so much more believable...as if it's playing right in front of my eyes. And if it were a movie, you know, I'd love to watch it. And the fact that your writing it so simple... and honest..helps with it a lot. Love reading whatever you write, and this is no less.

Khushi is so innocent and child-like and yet so mature. And thami... oh how I love her. I'm so glad that Khushi has her. She certainly needs a mother figure in a house which has nothing but coldness, a mother-in-law who's far from being a mother, a father in law who is too much of a man of the EIC to give his attention to petty things and a husband who is too busy keeping himself away from her.

I was so happy to read the last parts though... where she finally decided to confide in her husband and saw him worthy to get her doll back. It was kind of cute.

But it would be long way from he finally accepts her a his bride... But at least they're friends now and I'm assured that Arnav with protect his little bride no matter what.

Teaser for chapter 3.

Arnab was exhausted after a long day at the medical college, where he had stayed back after the classes to study in the library. It was dark now, with the dark, velvety sky studded with bright sparking stars. The rhythmic canter of the horse changed into a slow trot, before the carriage came to a stop in the grand portico of the haveli, lit by scores of lamps. A servant came running to greet him reverently before taking his bag from him.

He climbed upstairs with a solemn expression as the final exams were drawing near and he still had a lot of preparing to do. Pushing the double doors of his room open, he stepped inside and began to unbutton his shirt, absentmindedly.

He started, when totally unexpectedly, a cheerful voice called his name.

"Arnab ji", said Khushi sitting perched up on his bed, looking totally at home.

"What are you doing here?, said Arnav with a frown.

"Ma sent me here", Khushi said happily.

Coming on Friday( Not tomorrow)

Haaye re, This innocent pagli is getting happy at that.. But but but..Arnabs' decision in the last update had won my ❤️ and love ;) and respect and is an assurance of keeping her childhood safe to that extent.
