wowee, I was in splits throughout! khushi's rambling directions were truly out of this world!
Two adolescent cyclists attempted to commit suicide by crashing into his car. He deftly swung the steering wheel to save both of them, and tried to find space between a lorry carrying household items and a public bus with men hanging by their toenail to the footboard...driving on any street in India can be hazardous to one's health... just loved the vivid description of the chaos that reigns supreme on Indian roads! even someone with as stout a heart as arnav has quailed at the prospect of taking his eyes off the road:
Arnav glanced at it, scared to take his eyes off the road for too long. and what a line:
Arnav obediently turned right, like the good boy he was... wanna bet?! now that is ironical, as we know full well what a
bad boy arnav can be, as borne out by his naughty antics in all his shirtless glory!
loved the picture your words conjured up: Buaji looked impossibly slender and shy, standing by a Phuphaji with a walrus moustache. Arnav smiled... a slim buaji being coy next to a man with a walrus moustache would make anyone laugh, especially recalling the generously proportioned, militant avatar she sports now 😆!
arnav voluntarily cleaning the utensils before and after the meal was a touching moment of domesticity... it reminded me of arnav rolling up his sleeves to wait on the guests who had come for lunch to GH during payash pre-wedding time... it just indicates unspoken support and sharing... arnav wanting khushi to feed him and she blurting out her thoughts out loud was cute... Arnav looked down at his plate. Where had his childhood gone? Had he ever had a childhood? nice to see arnav not wallowing in self-pity regarding his lost childhood but focusing on his happy present with khushi... "I will dry it if you remove it." "I will remove it.", he said, laughter still lingering in his voice... he must have been real happy to get that invitation 😉! it's real fun to watch arnav flustering khushi and how she inevitably gives him ample opportunities to let loose his seductive moves on her: a visibly uncomfortable Khushi who was trying very hard not to look at his bare chest and torso... now that's a temptation even a saint would have found difficult to resist, and khushi is an innocent whose heartstrings are being strummed by an expert! his bedroom voice and bedroom eyes add to the drugging effect... no wonder khushi is like this 😳 ☺️ in his presence! "He is dangerous, Khushi. Don't look into his eyes...", Khushi told herself. As usual, she spoke aloud, and Arnav burst out laughing... khushi's warning to herself reminded me of that belief that snakes hypnotise their prey before pouncing on them... an apt comparison in that he always manages to get her to lose herself in his molten eyes and to ensnare her in his arms, till his sinful lips capture hers! "Shirt ko goli maro.", Arnav whispered as he moved in for the kill... nothing could surpass that conclusion!
