Episode 37

(The next day - morning...the day of mehendi ceremony)

tulsi: uff..aaj mehendi ceremony hai...buhut kaam hai..
savita: tulsi..dekho..tum buhut kaam kar rahe ho..arre gayari aur main haina?
tulsi: voh tho..theek hai maa..lekhen..
savita(interrupts): lekhen..kuch nahin..tum nashta karo...aur..kaam mein main help karonge..theek hai?
tulsi: acha maa...aur...maine daniel se kaha hai..aaj ghar aana hai...abhi thak aaya kyun nahin..

(just then...a boy trips over but catches his balance..)

daniel: uff..how many times did i tell those lazy brothers of mine..to sort out this rug? driver...do get my bags in please..
driver: yes sir..

mihir: dekha? shaytan ka naam liya..voh chala aaya..?
daniel: shaytan: you mean..angel?
tulsi: angel hai..aao..come here..beta..(gives him a hug)
kavya(coming downstairs): hey..dan...all right?
daniel: yeah and you?
kavya: fine..

(daniel meets all other family members)

kavya: dan..you gotta get yur outfit for tonight and tomorrow..
daniel: oh great..
kavya: its all right...rose hasnt got hers either...so..if its ok..wid you..you two can go togeher??
daniel: oh yeah..rose...oh no..i needed to see her..
kavya: what for?
daniel: erm..nothing...erm..i'll get changed..and start helpping around...

(angad just sits on the dining table..remembering anjali's words)

angad(thinking): how am i gonna do this? i..cant..live without anjali..and she is expecting me to? dear God..please...please..help me out of here...

sohan(2 angad): hey angad?
angad: haan?
sohan: you ok..na?
angad: yeah..i'm fine...

angad: yeah..why?
sohan: anjali phoned up..said she needed to talk to all of us..
angad(getting worried): she did?
sohan: yeah...been a long time..sicne we havent seen her..is everything all right?

(angad stays quiet)

sohan: angad!

sohan: seriously..yaar...you r in tension..what happened?
angad: nothing..(leaves)

sohan(thinking): something has happened...angad doesnt usually behave like this..need to find out

(sujal is getting ready upstairs..but cant help thinking about what shravan said)

sujal: if i choose amina..then i'm sacrificing my friendship...shravan is my good friend..i cant do this to him...and...if i sacrifice my love..i..cant do that either..i..cant live without amina..and..

(turns around..and sees amina and shravan looking at each other...both then hug each other..sujal feels jealous..and picks up a vase and throws it across the room)

sujal: NO!! You r mine..amina!! i cant sacrifice you..no..i cant...we r going to be with each other forever..!!!

(daniel is all ready and comes out of his room)

daniel: sujal?
sujal: erm..yeah?
daniel: why did you throw that vase?
sujal: erm..i..i..erm..
daniel: is everything all right?
sujal: erm...no..
daniel: why? what happened?
sujal: its..jsut...that..erm..
daniel: girlfriend trouble?
sujal: sort of..
daniel: tell me...
sujal: look..i luv amina and she loves me...but..shravan loves ehr too..
daniel(shocked): what?
sujal: yeah...and...i'm really confused..
daniel: hey luk..as long as you two are together...nothing can stop you from being together...ok?
sujal: but..
daniel: hey...nothing can..all right?
sujal: i just hope you are right...
daniel: come on..its the mehendi ceremony tonight...we cant let karan down..can we?
sujal: nah..course not..
daniel: come on..then..

(both leave)

(the day passes quickly..and the mehendi ceremony is nearly about to take place)

(the dj puts on the music: the song mehendi laga ki rakhna from DDLJ)

(sandeep is carrying the flowers...but bumps into Jai)

sandeep: erm...main..yeh..erm..phool..kaha rakhni hai?

(the girls are getting ready upstairs)

rose: ready..diya?
diya: rose..you're making me nervous...sis..its jsut the mehendi..not the wedding day...
gauri: exactly..its ok..jsut leave it to me...(fixes her hair): voila..luk..yur hair..so..perfect..
diya: thanx..its does look nice..(diya's hair curled up..and pinned back like bhoomi's)
kashish: diya..all done?
diya; eyah...
sia: erm..hold on..(touches ehr eyelashes to get a dot of kajal and puts it on diya's neck..)

diya: thanx sia..

(lall go down...and enjoy the mehendi ceremony)

kashish: ok...how shall i do it?
diya: erm..any beautiful way..as long as it is nice...
kashish: ok..

(kashish draws a beautiful peacock..on her hand..with beautiful curls around it...)
diya(luking at her hand): thats beautiful...
kashish: one minute...
(draws a K on her hand)
diya(blushes): thats even more beautiful...

gauri: hey..come on..guya..lets dance...

(the sinha girls join in the dance...)

amina: hey...amal?
amal(dancing): yeah?
amina: doesnt diya luk happy?
amal: very...why?
amina: i'm gonna miss her o much..(stops dancing): we had such gud moments...who knew she was gonna be the first one to go?
amal: hey...its ok..we'll see her everyday..besides...who knew you will be the second one to go?

(kavya goes over to Kashish)

kavya: the ceremony is beautiful isnt it?

kashish: diya is gonna go to yur house...tomorrow..her own house..and..erm..
kavya: i know...take care of her..and..this..and that...hey kashish...i know diya since we were kids..she's like a sis to me..and..we all will take care of her...and especially..karan he definitely will..
kashish(laughs); thanx kavya..
kavya(holding out his hand): erm...how about a dance?
kashish: i wouldnt mind..actually..

(both start dancing in the crowd)

bauji: erm..tuhina..beta?
tuhina: jee..bauji..?
bauji: oh..beta...jaldi se meetai..lekhar aao..thek hai?
tuhina: theek hai..

(tuhina goes in the kitchen...to see the cooking in the oven..and then starts preparing the laadoos in a tray)

sohan(coming in): hey..tuhina..can i come in?
tuhina; yeah..sure..
sohan: erm..there was something i needed to tell you..
tuhina: yeah..what is t?
sohan: the matter is..that..erm...
tuhina: oh..erm..sohan..can u just lower the oven heat please?
sohan: yeah..ok..

(lowers the heat down)

sohan: so i was saying...erm..
tuhina: jsut one minute...

(takes the cooking out of the oven..but burns her hand)

tuhina: owww!!!!
(sohan immediately takes her finger and rubs it gently)

tuhina(amazed): erm..thanx...
sohan: theres no need for thanx..
tuhina: you...saved..my little..finger..so..i should thank you..
sohan: tuhina..if..erm...oh i..cant keep this in..
tuhina(turning away): i have to go...
sohan(holding her hand): I love you!!!

(tuhina stands still)

tuhina: what?
sohan: i love you...
tuhina: you do?
sohan: yes i do..
tuhina: since when?
sohan: sicne time began...i dont when it all started..but i do love you...
tuhina: i love you too...
sohan: you do?
tuhina: cross my heart...(smiles)

(both hug each other...but are interupted by bauji again)

bauji: tuhina...laddoos kahan hai?
tuhina: oh..erm...i need to take in the sweets...erm..u dont midnd o you?
sohan(pulling her towards him): no..

(tuhina and sohan both leave)

(shravan sees amina on her mobile...amina texts sujal: Hey hunnie..how you doing? Mehendi ceremony going well..but would be more good with you around..missing you a lot..tc...please..reply..luv yurs only..amina..XXX)

(sujal sees the text message.and smiles..and replies back: Hey hunnie...glad 2 hear see yur text...boring here without you...but tomorrow..is gonna be rocking wid everyone around...cant wait 2 see you..will call you...tc..luv sujal..XXXXX)

(amina sees the text..and smiles 2 herself..and turns around and sees shravan)

amina: shravan? erm..hi..ncie 2 see you here..
shravan: erm..there was something that i needed to tell you..

(dida is passing along and hears them..and stays back behind the wall to hear them)

amina: yeah..what is it?
shravan: amina..i dont know how it all started...but..erm..i'm in love...
amina: wow...lucky girl she is...does she know?
shravan: erm..amina...i'm in love..with you..

(amina is shocked)

amina: kya?

(dida overhears this and is overjoyed..)

dida(thinking): amina aur shravan ek doosri se pyar karti hai? main aaj anu aur prerna ko bataonge...aaj nahin tho kal..inn dono ki shaadi karvaonge...(smiles.and leaves0

amina(shocked): but...shravan..i dont lvoe you...
shravan(upset): what? but..but..
mina: my heart belongs o sujal..only to him..and i can only belong to him...
(amina leaves)

shravan(thinking): sujal is my best friend...so what? i'll cheat him if i can...but..amina will only be mine

(over in the virani house)

sujal(thinking): i know shravan and i are friends..but amina is destind to be with me..in this lifetime...
