Rahul's mom Padmini sits near him.
P:Did you confess your love to Muskaan?
R:No mom.
P:Since college days you have been trying to propose to Muskaan.Till now you could'nt confess.
R:I get nervous when i try to propose.
P:You became late in proposing to her.So you lost her once.She got married.Again God has given you a chance.If you become late again...you may lose her again.
R:But mom..I am scared.What if she does'nt love me?
P:Tomorrow is your birthday.If she remembers your birthday and celebrates it that means your birthday is important for her.That is she loves you.
R:Mom..
P:Don't worry.Everything will be fine.
The next morning'.
Rahul comes out of his room.
Muskaan walks towards him singing "Happy birthday to you'"
He smiles.He thinks of his mom's words that if Muskaan remembers his birthday she loves him.
R:I just can't control my happiness Muskaan.You remember my birthday'you always forget my birthday.But this time you remember my birthday.
Mus:Yes'last time I really felt bad for forgetting your birthday always.So I marked today's date in my calendar in advance.I did'nt want to forget it this time.
R:Why you did'nt want to forget my birthday this year?Because you love me.Right?
Muskaan is stunned:Rahul!What did you say?
R:Muskaan'I was sure that if you remember my birthday you love me.I was so tensed about it.But today I am so happy Muskaan.You remembered my birthday to make me happy.That shows you value my happiness.Because you love me.
Muskaan is shocked.
Muskaan remembers Rahul giving her rose and asking her if she gets jealous when girls give him roses.
She asks in her mind:Is Rahul in love with me?
R:Do you know Muskaan'?Since college days I have been trying to propose to you.But I could never propose to you.No girl gave me roses Muskaan.Those roses were brought for you only.But I was scared whether you will reject them if you come to know my real feelings for you.But since I know that you also love me now I can tell you with courage that I love you.
Muskaan thinks:Rahul has been loving me since college days? That is why he accepted Shravan.That is why he tried to save my reputation by making the world believe that I am his wife and Shravan is his son.
Muskaan feels upset.
Her mind says:When Dev and my father ditched me only Rahul was there for me.If he was'nt there,I would not have had a safe life.My son would not have had an identity if he was'nt accepted by Rahul.So I should not break his heart.But I can't accept him as my life partner.But if I tell him that he will be shattered.What will I do?Anyways I should not break his heart on his birthday.
She controls her tears.
Suddenly Rahul notices her serious face.
R:What happened Muskaan? Are you not happy?
Mus:Why are you asking like that?
She goes away silently.He becomes dull.
Rahul's birthday celebration in the evening...
Muskaan brings a cake.Rahul smiles seeing her bringing cake for him.
Padmini:Rahul'you are lucky'Muskaan baked this cake specially for you.
Rahul looks at Muskaan happily.She smiles slightly.
R:Yummy!
Rahul cuts the birthday cake and gives a piece of cake to Padmini and Shravan.
Then he turns his face towards Muskaan.He feeds her cake with his hand.
Muskaan feeds him back.
Music is going on.
